Regular Member Neal0282 Posted September 9, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted September 9, 2011 I received an FUE transplant on August 5th by Dr. True. He did a great job. I started to see slight shockloss (or at least that is what I think it is) around August 25th. It started to get real bad around August 29th. I just took these pictures. Can people please comment on them and let me know if this is normal shockloss. Its seems pretty significant (pictures dont do it justice). Any "rule of thumb" on when the hair in the donor area starts to grow back. Oh yeah, and the shockloss is only on the left, backside of my head; nothing on the right. Thanks for taking the time to assist me!
Senior Member Blake Bloxham Posted September 9, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted September 9, 2011 Hi Neil, Based on the timeline and physical appearance, I personally believe it does look like shock loss. Have you sent these pictures to True/Dorin? They can definitely confirm our suspicions. Good luck; let me know if you have any further questions. Senior Member aaron1234 Posted September 9, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted September 9, 2011 These are interesting pics because I've never seen shock loss on someone who shaved their hair so short. Don't worry, it'll come back. Regular Member Neal0282 Posted September 11, 2011 Author Regular Member Share Posted September 11, 2011 Thank you. I have not sent them to Dr. True. I sent him one pic right when it first started and when it wasnt this severe. He confirmed that this was the shock from the transplant. Thank you. I just hope it starts to come back soon. Senior Member Spanker Posted September 12, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted September 12, 2011 Looks liek shock loss, but you can see the round extractions scars on the very back of the head as well. But it has not been long so maybe they will heal tighter. I am an online representative for Dr. Raymond Konior who is an elite member of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians.
