Regular Member Chris in Seattle Posted March 9, 2011 Regular Member Share Posted March 9, 2011 Well today marks exactly 1 YEAR since my HT. My hair is still thickening and darkening. It's becoming harder to see my scalp, unless it's wet or under harsh lighting. It's a funny thing 'cause hair thickness seems to vary from day to day. I'm also letting it grow out. I'm noticing quite a difference in the way strangers respond to me, or look at me. And I'm more often referred to as "bro" or buddy" which is SO much better than "sir" (I just HATE that!). Anyway, I posted a couple new pics. 4,115 grafts (8,319 hairs) by "The Great" Dr. Gabel Hillsboro, OR March 8, 2010 4115 Grafts from Dr. Gabel (Hillsboro, OR) March 8, 2010
Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted March 9, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted March 9, 2011 Chris, Congratulations! Looks like a stellar result. It's funny you mentioned the switch from "sir" to "bro/buddy". I've noticed the same thing and it's a good feeling! I'm very happy for you! Senior Member Tonycc Posted March 16, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted March 16, 2011 Your hair looks great! I've been considering getting a HT and going to Dr. Gabel. How was your experience there?
Senior Member Tao Posted March 17, 2011 Senior Member Share Posted March 17, 2011 (edited) That's quite a transformation! Congrats! I have also noticed a big difference in the way people interact with me now that I have hair. Just saw a woman I hadn't seen for awhile and it was apparent she was shocked and confused. Pretty amusing. I catch people looking at my hair now, no doubt checking to see if I'm wearing a wig or something. They're totally confused as most people do not know how good and natural modern hair transplants can turn out. Enjoy bro! Steven Gabel, MD, FACS
Chris Your hair is really growing well. I’m very happy with the progress. Just wait, there is more to come as I have a lot of patients tell me their hair really thickens up during the 12 - 20 month range. Hopefully I can see you when I’m up in Seattle next for consultations.
