...

Google up dermacrine and go to the site and look at the product called toco-8. This is not a snake oil company and they have a pretty good reputation at anabolicminds.com...

I did that- and I just placed an order today.

Thanks for the info, Matt.

I think it might be important to state that if you're taking a normal multi-vitamin the d-alpha tocopherol form of vitamin E in it might block the tocotrienol forms of vitamin E found in toco-8

Also I have read people stating that a sesamin oil supplement might possibly improve the bio-availability and absorption of tocotrienols.

I've been taking the supplement irregularly, generally whenever I have a protein shake so it's something like once every other day, on top of that I already use dr. lee's xandrox minoxidil so I can't say if it does anything for my hair or not, hell as of recently I am actually perfectly content with the head of hair I have, especially now that it's really starting to grow out over my head, as long as I keep my hair long there is absolutely no sign of recession or thinning whatsoever. I just hope it stays like this for the rest of my 20s.

Toco-8 is also supposed to take something like at least 5 months to see any results, much like any other hair loss product.

Gangster, tell me have you actually noticed any positive impact on libido or more energy or any other sort of health benefit since you've been taking the stuff?

Good luck!

I haven't been on the site for a while but reading this thread I note a bunch of newer members. This all sounds like total poppycock to me. A patent doesn't give credibility, merely legal protection. Its too easy to have one guy create a number of aliases and then posting to himself to make it seem like he is promoting a legitimate product. This board has always been better than that and should beware this garbage posting imho.

I assure you that I do not work for any company or have any sort of agenda whatsoever, I can also assure you that I am not making extra aliases and I do have a bit of a history on this forum.

If you've noticed, most people who have replied to this thread have at least 20 or so unrelated posts to them, the guy with the lowest post count actually posted something negative towards what I was saying. Also keep in mind, I've never completely urged people to buy the product, and I never even said that I'm 100% sure it works. The stuff is very new, so no one can really know whether the stuff works or not for sure yet, I just thought it might be interesting to find out.

I for one would never take up the job of spending the time to make alternate aliases and then going as far as to make legitimate unrelated posts to boost the seeming credibility of my posts, I believe that my time is worth more than that.

I am not trying to promote anything, I'm just trying to make people aware that such products are being marketed, look at the wikipedia article on tocotrienols:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tocotrienol

It doesn't seem totally illegitimate to me.

I have also read on other hair loss forums that a combination of resveratrol and curcumin could have possible benefits.

In the end though, I don't really care what you think of my posts, each to his own.

Really? Damn. My multi has "d-Alpha Tocopheryl Succinate/Acetate" in it. You think that could be a problem?

I take a lot of supplements (fish oil, BCAAs, Polyphenols, protein powders, fat burner, greens...) so it's hard to tell what does what.

I'm just hoping to see some new hair growth in about 4 more months!

Thanks for the reply and thanks for letting us know about Toco. At the very least it looks like a pretty powerful anti-oxidant. So don't sweat the haters.

I hate to say it but a good number of people on this forum are like sheep not willing to think outside of the box, and to top it off they also talk out of their asses.

ROFLMAO. You're a classic Yahoo type spammer. Get the hell off our board.

don't you think men have always hated being bald and they have been throwing bucko-bucks at this research for the past 18 years as well?

they may never find a cure for baldness, cancer, or aids.

I agree this matt guy is nothing but a spammer, but there is the possibility of a cure in the future. Something to do with Gene therapy and injecting the same into the scalp which effects hair follicles. A cure could be only a few years away. We'll see.

a close relative of mine died from cancer. there were all kinds of bull shit ads appealing to one's desperate desire to extend their life and even be cured. these 'clinics' offered vitamins, juices and other bull $hit concoctions that they claimed 'cured cancer'...total hippie bull$hit.

by the way they were mainly operating in Third World Countries.

I just had a longtime friend die of cancer. He found a lump in his chest and the specialist recommended surgery to get the cancer out as his only chance. My friend was convinced by the quacks that doctors and Western medicine were in it only for the money and there was a conspiracy from Western Medicine to prevent him from knowing the truth. So he opted for alternative medicine and supplements. As the tumors spread he finally realized it was a mistake, but by then surgery was no longer an option. He started chemo-therapy but it was far too late for him and he died this past January. Up until the very end he was convinced he was going to beat it.

As for the spam in this thread, really I don't understand why Billros is allowing it. Yes we all have to keep an open mind but anybody with any intelligence can see right through the spam. Heck I am surprised this baldness cure doesn't also cure cancer along with increasing Libido. What is Vitamin E all of a sudden a long forgotten baldness cure? I mean really, I've been on this board for years now and its been a great board because of the sophistication of the posters. But if we start allowing these crap threads then the board has lost its usefullness in my honest opinion.

hoping:

Do you really believe the guy would make up an alias about a year ago and then spend many months talking about everything other than Toco-8, so that he could recently promote his revolutionary product?

Look at his posting history, I fond it hard to believe he is a scammer.

You just seem angry.

OK Wait maybeI am a scammer too! lol

He has been a member a year? Okay, no he is not a "scammer" but he still qualifies as a "spammer".

But I see the problem. He is still a child and is still in that phase where he thinks he knows more than everybody else. He too will learn, like all children do who eventually become adults.

Hoping,

Matt is a legitimate member of our forum and is well educated in non surgical hair loss treatments.

I don't always agree with what he has to say, but in no way do I believe he is a spammer.

To be honest, like you, in the beginning, I thought he was. We have had words about it in the past but have long since been resolved.

My advice to members of this forum is that there is a lot of information out there. New research is being conducted all the time, some is anecdotal and some is highly scientific. Read with a critical mind and draw conclusions based on knowledge and research.

I hope this helps.

Bill

This guy is nuts but he gave me a hell of a laugh.

There's a huge difference between losing your hair and having cancer. If I had a lump on my chest and a doctor told me it was cancer I would not try using herbal remedies, that just sounds ridiculous.

I think it might be for the best if I don't reply to this thread anymore since it's gotten pretty ridiculous.

You missed the whole point. It has nothing to do with Cancer. It has to do with have a critical mind and, in the hair growing business, being skeptical until proven otherwise.

I couldn't help laugh myself when reading the words of a twenty year old, who calls those of us skeptical as not being able to think outside the box. Hell, you need to learn how to think.

Okay Bill. If I had realized he was only twenty I probably would have simply ignored him. Got to admit, he has gone to an awful lot of trouble to try to impress us. Anyway, I'll keep quiet.
