I don't have any info on Ross--but my own 2 cents is that Reed is the way to go---very artistic and empathethic--powerful combo of traits! Reed rocks.
This is a personal endosement. I wish I was paid by someone but I am gladly independent. My views are just mine.
I would sure like to see Pat's pics. It would be informative to see his progress. The lack of pics raises questions--put the issue to rest Pat--did you get a good result?
The Forum is replete with discussions about H & W, Shapiro, Alexander, Rahal, Feller, etc. Are there other docs out there getting "first-class" results but just maybe aren't as well known or publicized? Come on members--let the secret out!
It also improves monthly--as opposed to continuously getting worse! Now you will have to do #2 since MPB is unfortuantely progressive...in the long run.
Southern Calif---you'd be in great hands with Dr. Bill Reed (or his associate) in La Jolla....a wonderful, skilled practice! (and I'm not a shill for them--mine is an honest independent opinion)
If I were your age, I'd go for the FUT. You will look years younger...and yes MPB is progressive...but its a bummer to deal with it day-in/day-out--only knowing that it will get worse. Fortunately you can fix it---recognizing that you will probably have to fix it again....check out the good ole US of A or Canada. Belgium seems to have a good one also. Don't be afraid to travel--you have to look at yourself in the mirror everyday and the travel will be a "distant" memory.
I use nizoral 2 percent I have used it for years for dandruff/seborrheic dermatitis. I like the brand formulation--makes your hair look thick. The generic does not work as well as a shampoo. My experience is that doctors want you to use it in modeation--possible kidney complications--maybe 2x a week.
I thought it rather liberating to wear the bandana---didn't have to worry how my hair looked. People seemed oblivious. I agree with the poster who noted that we are often too self conscious.
The da*n thing about MPB is that it is progressive. The good thing about HTs it that it, too, is progressive---only in a good direction. I'd rather have HOPE that my hair will improve rather than HOPE that my hair loss will not get much worse. I have the same feeling about the economy(getting better that is)but a HT seems a whole lot more certain given the current state of technology.
I have tried both the generic and the brand versions. While the generic versions might have the same efficacy, it does not work as well as a shampoo. I like the way my hair feels after using the real stuff. Its just plain better shampoo in my humble opinion.
