  1. Hi, sorry to hear you also suffered poor results with Dr.Kiely hellomotto. It seems there's a fair few of us who are less than pleased with the results that this guy is achieving. I don't really want to say too much more because as far as I'm concerned I have unfinished business with the good doctor. You have come to the right place to get good advice if you decide to get further treatments and I wish you well and hope things go better for you in the future. Cheers.
  2. Listen guys, my conscience is not sitting easy with this anymore. Yes I have experienced poor results so far with my transplant. And yes, I have made some strong emotive comments regarding the subject, but to be honest I wish I hadn't said some of the things I have said. Unfortunately most of my comments have been posted when I've been feeling angry and frustrated at the lack of progress of my transplant, which in hindsight was unwise. Just because I have experienced poor results personally does not necessarily mean that Dr. Kiely is a bad transplant surgeon. I feel strongly that some of my comments have been unfair to Dr.Kiely and I wish to retract or amend them. I feel I should have limited my posts to simply stating that I have experienced poor results to date and that I would find it difficult to recommend him personally. As previously stated my conscience is not comfortable with the amount of negative comments regarding Dr.Kiely that have sprung from my original post and I kinda wish it would end. I'm going to tone down the content of some of my previous posts and endeavour to be more objective from here on in. This forum is an excellent location for people to share experiences and source information and knowledge but we do need to stay objective and fair and I don't think I personally have done so in the past. As for the dodgy pictures on Dr.Kiely's website ...well they are obviously "doctored" (if you'll pardon the pun), and are foolish to say the least, and misleading to say the worst! Cheers.
  3. Cheers GTDL, you're definitely doing the right thing going to the USA and I'm sure it'll be money well spent. You hit the nail on the head with regard to Kiely's website being impressive looking to the unwary. Justice will prevail...
  4. Just like to add, I'm sorry you lost your ?‚¬1000 GTDL, and I hope you find a good surgeon that can give you the results you want. I'm also glad that you discovered the truth about Dr. Kiely before it was too late! Unfortunately for me I didn't discover this forum until after I had my procedure, and now I simply don't have the money to go elsewhere. Every time I look in the mirror I'm confronted by this absolutely shit transplant. I have to try stop myself looking at it or I get so f**king angry.
  5. Hey Guys, didn't know a mini revolution was occurring in my absence! As far as Dr. Kiely is concerned GTDL, my opinion would be stay away! I can only judge him on my own results, and as the photo shows, they're pretty crap (and they're still crap at almost 11 months now, either that or I'm the slowest grower in the world). I can't believe I didn't spot the fake pictures with the plasticky lookin' hair! I guess we only see what we want to see sometimes? To clear things up, I got... er... paid for 1000 grafts, containing (according to Dr. Kiely) approximately 2.5 hairs per graft, or to put it another way approximately 2500 hairs. I can see about 500 of them, the other 2000 remain elusive! I think I may need to organize an expedition and gather a team of experts around me, to go and explore my head to search out the lost follicles. Cheers.
  6. Thanks for the words of encouragement guys. It's amazing how similar my experience with Dr. Conor Kiely was/is to yours irish30. No density whatsoever! Huge gaps between individual hairs, particularly in the front where some hairs are almost 1/4 inch (5mm) apart! Nothing close to the 2500 hairs claimed! And just really really poor overall!!! Cheers.
  7. Afraid not. This was my first procedure, and unfortunately I went into it fairly naively. It never occurred to me to take pre-op, or immediate post-op pics. Naively, stupidly thought that everything would be just fine. What a fool I was! They say "there's one born every minute", and I guess I fall into that category. Any other ex-Kiely patients out there, please make yourselves known and perhaps let me know your experiences? Cheers.
  8. The photo below shows my left temple 9 months after my transplant. A few wispy hairs is all I have to show for the large amount of cash I gave this Dr Kiely. I recently had a close friend perform a count of the entire transplant area (left and right temples and a half inch strip along the front) under the most powerful magnifying glass we could get. The result of this count, approximately 400-500 hairs in total! Out of a claimed (by Dr Kiely) 2500 hairs! Absolutely PATHETIC!!!
  9. Thanks for all the advice and the words of encouragement. The hair growth (what there is of it) started around the beginning of August, with the right side sprouting more hair than the left (see below). Right Temple area at 8 months: Considering that the transplant areas were not that big to begin with and that Dr Kiely claims to have implanted approximately 2500 hairs overall, the coverage of all areas concerned is pretty poor. The right side has average to poor coverage and density and the left (as the original photo shows) is really poor. Two technicians worked on either side simultaneously, so I can only assume the left side technician either damaged the follicles or didn't implant them correctly. I'm still hoping against hope that it will all suddenly kick in and start growing well, but deep down I really don't believe it will. Cheers and Happy Christmas to all.
  10. Consider myself fortunate? No I'm sorry, I can't consider myself fortunate! I gave this a**hole (Dr Kiely) a large amount of cash and all I've gotten in return is a scar across the back of my head and thinner hair now than before I started. I've also wasted 8 months waiting for this crappy transplant to grow and now have to face the fact that (barring a miracle) it's not going to happen. I'm angry, very angry, and I want recompense!
  11. Thanks Guys, You've just confirmed what I've suspected for a while now, that this transplant is a complete failure. I just wish I had found this forum before having my transplant done. I'm from Ireland, which is why I had it done here. Big mistake!! Feel really angry towards this Dr Kiely! Obviously doesn't have a clue what he's doing!! So for anyone in Ireland contemplating a hair transplant, AVOID DR CONOR KIELY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! Unless of course you like giving someone large amounts of cash to destroy thousands of your precious follicles! Cheers.
  12. As this was my first transplant it never occurred to me to take pre-op or immediate post-op photos. The best I can do is the photo below which defines the left transplant area. Believe me when I say that apart from the few wispy hairs visible in my original photo, this area is the same as it was before the transplant, i.e. devoid of hair!!
  13. Hi, below is a photo of my left temple area 8 months after my transplant. The triangular area of bare scalp is one of the recipient areas along with my right temple and a half inch strip across the front hairline. But there's nothing there I hear you cry. No, the good Dr Kiely (of Cork in Ireland) assures me he had his technicians implant upwards of 1000 hairs in this area alone. That being the case, is it unreasonable of me to expect that 8 months later I would actually be able to see some of these 1000+ hairs in this area? Perhaps I wasn't specific enough in my hair restoration request. Perhaps I should have specified that my preference would have been for "visible" hair. Or perhaps the good Dr Kiely implanted some type of "stealth" hair in my head. Invisible to radar and the naked eye. The strip across the front hairline is equally bad and, the right temple area is only marginally better. Am I alone in thinking that this is an absolutely dreadful result or, should I still expect that the hair will yet grow? I personally don't believe it will!
