Very nice. But dont you mean the RIGHT side had approximately 100% growth, the left side has a few gaps ? A person really need to have temple points. I still remember when my barber once shaved them off, like that was normal. I was depressed for a month !

That's funny. I had mine done the day before you. Feriduni is a real wizard and good/nice doc. He takes the time to make the incisions. The works looks very clean, like always from him. I think he's one of the best regarding hairlines. I'm a bit surprised why only 1719 grafts, especially looking at your receiving area. I dont think you should expect a huge density but perhaps that was known beforehand. As you probably wanted a similar density like on the rest of your head and I think that's a wise decision. Perhaps you have plans for your crown too. Happy growth.

Yes I read this more often but I've never seen any evidence. I know it will get slightly better, but definitely not much. Luckily the difference will fade away because the patient will probably let his hair grow, so after all, why would get excited. Unfortunately some people have much thicker hair/or a different structure on the backside of their head and that's also the case here.

Ridiculously good already for somebody who was pretty bald. There's still time for more improvement and if you decide to do some more transplants than I think this will become one of the most amazing results I've seen. I mean, 'just' 3800 grafts have been used.

Correct Julius. Great hairline and excellent density already, that after 5,5 months, but the donor area has taken a hit. I disagree with the poster who said that the topic starter were an excellent follicular unit extraction (FUE) candidate. The difference between the original hair and transplants is very obvious. Its less noticable with longer hair, but this still looks kinda odd IMO.

hi wb280, yes correct. Many hairtransplant patients can be spotted because they have a completely new and tight hairline but havent done anything with the temples/side of the head. That's unnatural. That wont happen in real life either if you are getting bald. NW2 temples are okay but megatron has NW3 temples.

The density looks a bit thin, but its the same everywhere (transplants and natural hair). There's nothing you can do about that, I think. Not everyone is blessed with thick hair. I would not worry about that. I do have one major concern. I seriously dont understand why both you and the doctor choose this hairline. IMO a natural hairline should be priority nr.1. Density nr.2 I havent read this whole topic but I cant imagine that nobody have said this as well. You're missing hair on your temples. Of course most of us have this problem but your temple hairline is even more behind. Is this last sentence proper English ? I'm from Holland.. The doctor should have planted some hairs on your temples too, to make it a little less unnatural. I could easily see that you have done a hairtransplant if I ran across you in the train. I would definitely do a 2nd session. Megatron, I hope you're not offended. Just remember that this problem can easily be solved with a 2nd HT. On the other hand, you say you are very pleased, so that's the most important thing.

Agreed. I do think the result should be better after 8 months with 2500 grafts. IMO most people get their result between month 4 and month 8. Therafter it will get thicker but a complete change you rarely see after 8 months. Yet, we're all different. I understand the concerns of the topic starter.

I still dont agree with you. Like Lorenzo is saying also, who decides is the top doctor ? Nobody. That's a subjective opinion. Anyone who is serious about his hairloss should inform himself well. If some doc is telling me that I have a donor of 15000 grafts than I would like to see this confirmed elsewhere...with several other clinics. Of course I was not blind either. I saw very good results with Armani. I also saw teenage hairlines and already knew that might become a disaster in the future. When I see stuff like that than I cant take anyone seriously...in this case Armani. Of course you always take a gamble with a hair transplant but as long as it is a calculated risk, its okay I think. Perhaps its different in the US but here in Europe its a well known fact that you should be happy with 4500-6000 grafts donor and that has been since 2002 when I became interested in the subject. With a bit of luck and less future balding, you might have more. I've never heard or read that over 10.000 grafts is common, exceptions aside, let alone 15.000. That propecia will stop your hairloss forever etc etc. Back than these things were also clear to me and it didnt need much research. :rolleyes:

Well perhaps he was a bit harsh calling them freaks but lets be honest. You're not very smart if you do a very low hairline when you are suffering hairloss already at age 20-25. I wouldnt say they "got tricked" into this. They made that choice and it was a pretty dumb one. Unless there are any side effects with propecia that we dont know yet, you can't compare it.

The result is not extraordinary, but absolutely not bad either. Its anyway mindblowing we are discussing this. I think most would be thrilled to have such a hairline. I seriously dont think this has anything to do with 40-45 grafts per cm2. You can clearly see that some hairs didnt grow. There are spots of 0,3 cm2 without any hairs. That's a result that some hairs didnt grow. Of course Rahal have planted there too. He didnt leave those spots open... As for the FUE/FUT discussion. Lots of things have been said about that already. I'm anti-FUT but I do think that % the chance of a better result with FUT is higher. Its just a feelling though, looking at photo's over the years. Yet that scar is just so wrong. Than I rather take the risk that some hairs dont grow. If you are not very bald, like the topic starter than I completely dont understand why FUT, than I would certainly choose for FUE. No offense 1531 FUT. I mean you are barely bald, you could have taken 'the risk'. If there was any risk at all. This result can easily be matched with FUE. Well, its too late now. Perhaps Rahal will give you a free procedure to settle the things. I got 1200 grafts for free with Dr. Feriduni. That's service !

I see what you mean. Its still better than before but it seems like some hairs didnt grow. May I ask why you chose for FUT and not FUE, especially for just a small area ? cheers

Hi Daniel, yes all FUE. Scarring is perfect...of course there should be little scars but not noticable. I had shaven my head for months.

The scar is just above the ears. Not that worrysome. At least with FUE the donor area is often just above the ears as well.

If all hairs are going to grow, this is going to be a great result. This hairline is perfect. The downside. I really hope you won't face much hairloss in the future. Than you would wish, you would have done a slightly more mature hairline. But again, this is really looking good.
