  1. Using the advanced text editor and IE 9. Ok this seems to work fine with both the quick reply and the advanced. Only FireFox presents with the error.
  2. Replying using the advanced text option does giv this error, but not the "quick reply". This is very odd as it only happens with FireFox and no other browser I have tested it with.
  3. Replying using the advanced text option and have yet to see an error. This may just be one of those things that we can try and replicate and still not get the error as each user may have different browser versions and OS's. Still not sure how to address this problem, if I cannot replicate it.
  4. Replying using FireFox on MAC OSX and the "advanced" reply.
  5. Testing the reply with Chrome on MAC OSX. Still have not seen this error.
  6. This is really odd. I have tested it on a few platforms, mobile and desktop and have not see this type of error as yet. I will be testing it in a few other browsers and operating systems to see if I can replicate it. Thanks to all for providing any additional feedback.
  7. Testing with Android and the native browser which is also Chrome based.
  8. So far ther does not seem to be any issue with most browsers, so it could be a matter of user add on tools/gadgets that could be causing this.
  9. There also seems to be a problem when posting with Chrome, this does warrant some investigation to see if there is a fix for this. Testing the embedding of a Vimeo clip.
  10. Hi all, We have looked at the creation of a Wiki site in the past and it certainly does have it's merits. When a resource like this is published, it may also become the target of spam, as we have just seen - I just deleted and removed a user that posted a whole lot of spam links. While it is a great idea, it does take up a huge amount of time and resource to manage, so that it is truly a useful site. We can certainly take are-look at the possibility and look at how the process will be managed and supported.
  11. Totally Off Topic, I am just testing the various YouTube link formats to make sure users can embed them easliy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uh9Wa7ZyVnc Another link with some additional code, link pasted from the page URL and not from the "Share" section. VODACOMTV's Channel - YouTube OK, that does not work, but this will:
  12. This is a basic link to a video on YouTube:
  13. Rhoestat, No problem, this has been corrected and your name shows up correctly now.
  14. I have used an iPod to see if I can add a post and the editor does appear fine. If other members can respond using some form of mobile device and let us know if they experience any issues, that would really help us develop the forum. I do see a number of users have read this post and would like to encourage our members to add some comments about the way they access the forum and how important it is for you to be able to use a mobile device, like a smart phone, or any other other device for that matter.
  15. Dave,

Yes, indeed this is where I live. I took these photos myself and have plenty more. If you want to see more, go to http://www.ilaaiksedgefield.co.za/ where a pal of mine has created a social network for the area.

    Regards

    Hans

  16. Doing a quick searc h on Polysorbate 80, I found that it is really used as an emulsifier and does not appear to have any relationship with topical treatments. "Polysorbate 80 is frequently used for pharmaceutical formulations as an emulsifier, solubilizer and stabilizer. Improving its characteristics (color, odor, oxidation stability, cytotoxicity and hemolysis) by ultra-pure Polysorbate 80(HX)TM is very suitable for pharmaceutical application." More information can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polysorbate_80
  17. There are also additional privacy setting all users can change, so that they can only get messages, or have users comment on their profiles, if they are "friends". This may involve a few fake "Friendship Requests" but it will certainly keep out the "love seekers". We have beefed up the registration process, but we do realize that there are some relentless spammers out there that go through the whole process and are "real" people. What they look like, is anybody's guess, but they do tend to target Social sites. Today, there were more of these that have been disabled and some of our members will have seen comments on their blogs from these "Russian Bride" types. Social sites, like this one, do have settings that all users are able to change to reduce (almost eliminate) this type of action, but then it's up to the users to pay careful attention to how they set up their "Privacy" settings. While your profiles are visible to all and anyone that visits the site, you are able to change who can comment, on your blog entries, send you PM's etc. Managing your privacy will certainly go a long way to reducing spammers. Hope this helps. Hans
  18. Well, seeing that I am in the host country, it's been quite a ride here. SA have managed to get a draw in their first game, but we shall see what happens tonight, when they play Uruguay..
  19. agdc, we certainly do that. Their IP address is also added to a blocked list and their account is disabled, then deleted. I also will be keeping an eye on the forums for this type of abuse and will take action as soon as I can.
  20. No problem I already deleted this profile. Trying to work out a way of eliminating this type of rubbish
  21. Odd, I have also tested it on a number of platforms and browsers and it always works for me. Do realize that if you leave the site by clicking on the "logout" link, your "remember me" will be removed automatically. If you just close your browser and then come back to the site, then it should work fine.
  22. It's been 10 years since I started working with Pat on his original site and boy, has it come a long way. In the early days, there was just the single site, where Pat was so proud and impressed with his hair transplant and from there, it evolved to the Hair Transplant Network. All this, just because Pat was really keen on blowing all the myths about hair transplants out of the water. It has been a privilege and an honour to see how many people he has helped to discover the "real" doctors and artists out there and has played a major role in educating the many visitors who have sought to research and educate themselves on the causes, cures and treatments that do and don't work. There are now a number of sites that are all geared towards educating people and providing them with a really top notch list of physicians around the globe. I have not been that "visible" to the many visitors to the sites, as I am really the "back room guy" that works behind the scenes. Hopefully this new site will really open up a whole new level of interaction between the many visitors and members and will grow from strength to strength. To quote Pat - "Onwards and Upwards"
  23. Hi guys, Just did a quick "Google" on "Dr Madhu Prasad" and one of the forum threads is way up there in the results. If you search for "Dr. Pathuri Madhu" there are also plenty in the top 10 from the forum. This already means that many potential clients in India, who do a bit of research, on this doctor, will arrive at this forum (and topic) rather quickly. Interestingly enough the next most popular source of visits to the HTN and other sites, first is the US, is from India, so there must be a lot of potential clients out there, looking for a good hair transplant surgeon. Just a few comments that may defuse some of the doubters out there.
  24. Hi all, The scripts for the uploading of images has been updated and we should not see this issue happen again. I suspect that these 2 blogs were updated at exactly the same time, using the same image names and this caused the files to be as the same, for both blogs. The changes to the upload scripts, will prevent this from happening in the future.
