  1. LOL it reminds me of that awesome movie deuce bigalow male gigolo where that persian guy hangs upside down from the door frame he had amazing hair btw so it must have worked
  2. that's a scam dude. there are millions of these little pay-per-view ebooks all over the web. don't fall for it. oh i forgot, the only one worth paying some dough is the "become a millionaire in 6 weeks" e-book. i'm half way there
  3. very good choice Tree Hugger. thana is right. if you are not on meds yet i suggest you start 'em right now. the sooner the better. it will compliment your HT. in case you didn't see the NW7 to NW0 transformation by H&W i suggest you look at NIcNitro's profile or google it. it took 2 sessions i believe. i'm glad you are taking the first step and good luck to you.
  4. Chuckisduck, you actually bothered to read that wall of text????
  5. happy growing Eman and i wish you a full head of hear in the near future. if anyone deserves it it's you buddy just because you were very helpful to me and many others on this and other forum. cheers!
  6. hi Repo and thank you for taking your time to post some more photos. first of all to be perfectly honest with you the new photos didn't make any difference in terms of density illusion. this is what i think so far. after browsing through your profile i noticed that you still had a very red scar (considering your skin tone) after 4 months. that gives me the impression that you are a slow healer. also a slow healer could also be a slow grower but not sure about that one 100%. i also noticed that you were putting a ton of concealer in 1 month post op photos which in my books is still way to early. not sure if you were doing that every day but i think that that could have played a huge part in graft survival since the recipient area was still healing. Bill and Dr. Feller i would love to hear your comments on this or if i'm way out of line regarding "slow healing vs. slow growth" and "concealer too early". this could be very educational for lot of us here.
  7. can you post few pics of your donor area at the back of the head? and also few more better quality pics of your recipient area. thanks
  8. hi there, how about minoxidil 5% 2X daily? or at least nizoral 2% shampoo. minoxidil is safe regarding any major side effects. the shampoo alone will help you somewhat but not much. as i said before nothing comes close to minox/fin combo. happy holidays
  9. congratulations FE, thanks for posting. looks good so far. the redness will stay for some time. can you wear a hat at work? keep us updated with your progress. happy holidays!
  10. 8 months is still too early to judge. better quality pics would be nice. whan was the first procedure? any photos after 1st???
  11. yup, Bill is right. i didn't have Rahal's HT but i think it's just vitamin E oil. the patients are instructed to apply Jamieson vitamin E 100% pure oil 2x per day for 2-3 weeks post-op to keep the grafts moist. since it's hard to wash that stuff without touching/rubbing your head it clusters. but it's best if dr. Rahal addresses this issue. if i'm wrong i'll delete my post immediately.
  12. thanks repo-man, it's just that the hair on these pictures look a bit wet. so a towel dried hair would give us all much better representation of your current situation. but as some mentioned earliar 8 months is still too early to judge. p.s. do you repossess cars or houses???
  13. ll, i know that some people choose not to use anything after their HT and they just come out fine. put i always wondered what is the percentage of those. if the final result is not satisfactory to them in the end, their doc can always slam them on that card especially if they were instructed to do so. what do you think of this theory and were you instructed to apply minox? did doc tell you it is optional? and what about fin? please let me know as i'm very curious. thanks.
  14. it looks like that it's all about job creation. paying taxes, making rich richer, poor poorer and middle always in the middle. no conspiracy there just the way the system has been set up. we all know the reality all too well and that's why i like sometimes to listen to my man George Noory to contemplate the alternative reality. do you think that government would give a damn about the automobile industry if the job loss was not at stake and they got nothing out of it in return? makes you think.
  15. so there you go Thinman123 nothing you should worry about too much. the shed can last for few months so as the fella said earlier just ride it out. mmhce. sorry about misconception.
  16. lol that title made me laugh. congrats fusion47 looks like your doc did another outstanding job. i just love when i see such a clean work compared to some other docs (dr. Umar comes to mind). i get the impression that Cooley is very Cool
  17. lol funny that you asked that donno Bill when you get a chance you should ask him or post a new separate thread but under what category hmmmm i too have all 3 movies as they are awesome.
  18. here is my little story you guys might find it interesting regarding nizoral 2%. one morning about 6-7 years ago i woke up and noticed that my hair was shiny and wet looking in my washroom mirror. after i swiped the top with my palm i also noticed that it was oily. all of a sudden eh!!!! i ignored it for some time since i still had a full head of hair. few months after i noticed that my hairline started to 'corrode'. and then some more. and then some thinning on top. all of this happend very fast in a span of 8-10 months. since my father is NW7 i knew what time is it. without bothering to go and see a doctor/dermatologist i just stuck on wearing a cap. although i wore a b-cap even before the 'greasy' hair and hairloss showed up. looking back at it now i gotta admit that it was very foolish of me not to go and seek the professional help at that time which could've saved me a lot more hair and pain. i got heavy cough one day so i ended up seeing my family doctor and it was a 'perfect' time for me to ask him about the 'grease' hair issue. that's when he told me about nizoral 2% and i started using it ever since. so 5 years ago i stared nizoral 2% and used it ever since almost every day. nizoral 2% here in Canada i buy just as grocery, no prescription. 4 years on nizoral 2% didn't stop my hairloss but it did slow it down. i never experienced any new regrowth from it though. the greasy hair became thing of the past too thanks to the nizoral. for last 10 months i've bin on proscar and minox 5% so i had to cut down on the nizoral since it would overdry my scalp. once per week at present time. things are looking good so far and proscar and minox are doing wonders for my hair. my crown grew back and the thinning on top turned into thickness. so the bottom line is nizoral 2% is not too bad for as the 'first aid kit' but nothing comes close to fin/minox combo. greasy hair for me started it all rolling down the hill!!!!!
  19. Thinman, how much and what kind of shedding are we talking about here? 10 hairs? more than 20? less than 10? also when do you see the hairs? after rubbing minox? on the pillow after you wake up? shower? we need details and maybe some respected coalition doc can take a minute of his/her time to answer your concern. i read somewere that shedding 100 hairs per day is a normal thing. cheers
  20. thanks for the update latinlotus. i know you are at the shit phase right now. that bold patch under your scar deff looks like shock loss. don't be putting any crap on your head for at least 1 year post op regardless what you read and what you've been told. so non of the dermatch, toppik, gel or what not, none of that crap bro. baseball cap is fine though. not tight off course. trust me.... can you put few drops of minox on the shock area and rub it in while you're doing the regular routine daily??? also 1x or 2x daily minox???
  21. mmhce this is from my personal experience. my brother, my mom and i are shedding at the exact same time December. my dad shedded his last follicle long time ago . also a while back while i was researching on this phenomenon, i came up with this conclusion. they say that the dry cold air has a lot to do with it. but not sure how much you can trust to Dr. Google cheers
  22. LMS, i totally understand what you're talking about and your point of view is well taken. i know that there are thousands of bright heads trying to come up with this nobel prize/miracle of all miracles challenge every single day. but I look at it with the bigger picture sort of like the whole forest and not just one tree. so let's say when the elite medical students finish the university they are very enthusiastic and most likely are looking into the main stream, real issue medical practice as their life long passion and future workplace. while arguably the hair loss research/medicine is still labeled to many of them as the alternative field. so for example 200 fresh of the books students and veteran top docs are looking and trying to solve the life threatening illness while 2 fresh of the books and veteran top hair research docs are working at the hair loss solution. this is where the all similarities/differences end. the ratio is too big so are the odds. the odds for the hairloss breakthrough cure vs. let's say aids cure are just too apparent looking at the big picture. but then again the luck plays a big role in our lives just remember how penicillin was found all those years back.
  23. interesting, my research led me to believe that the liquid minox is much better and much more effective than the foam. kokonut, LMS will kill you for naming the thread like this
