  1. well unfortunately I did have a treatment with them, and I can assure you it is bull....instead of gaining I lost a lot of hair...I wish i had known about this hair resto community a long time ago....not to mention I was only 18 when I went to see them....anyway, the damage was done!! point of this post is to warn people like me to think twice and do their research before making a decision!!!
  2. Hi fellas, not sure if I'm posting this in the right section but wanted to know if anyone had any treatment done with them or anyone ever went for a consultation or if someone knows anything about this company? Their site: http://www.antechhair.com/index.htm also got this from their about page STEP 1: Local Stage (3-5 weeks) * Exfoliation of dandruff, sebum and seborrhea plugs * Pliability and flexibility of the scalp * Neutralizing dry and oily hair conditions * Reduction of hair loss STEP 2: Structural Stage (6-11 weeks) * Deeper cleansing of the bulb * Further cleansing of the epidermis and dermal layers * Deeper vasodilatation of hair follicles STEP 3: Development Stage ( 12-15 weeks) * Acceleration of the growth rate of replacement hair * Follow up micro analysis (IDMA) * Enhanced nutrient activity of the scalp STEP 4: Phase Out * reduction of treatment frequency * facilitation of independent functioning of the scalp * determining personal maintenance requirements STEP 5: Maintenance * Follow up evaluations and micro analysis (IDMA) * Scalp metabolism boosters as per personal requirements * Continual support and follow-up Your thoughts on this matter will be very much appreciated.. thanks in advance.
  3. Is it for more psoriasis than dandruff? as quoted on the site "MEDICATED SHAMPOO FOR THE CONTROL OF ITCHING, REDNESS AND SCALING ASSOCIATED WITH STUBBORN SEBORRHEA OR PSORIASIS OF THE SCALP" I don't know if this helps you in hair loss but it did help me with itching and scaling and I think it has slowed down the hair loss process somehow...i know nizoral is good for hair loss but it gives me itching and my scalp becomes very dry!!!
  4. I can understand your feeling but I've got only one thing to say...look at people around you and around the world...people are dying of disease, war, hunger, poverty, some people are blind, deaf, cripled..etc...there are many people who would do anything to be in your shoes right now...you are much far better than others..and you should be thankful for all the things you've got that others dont...I know hair loss has a lot of affect on us because that's how the world around us has become, i blame the media, these good looking models, stars, etc..anyway my point is, don't let this hair loss problem eat you...fight it by either just shaving your head and forget about what people might think about your scar or going for it and doing whatever you can(such as spending that money on HT or FUE)and than don't think about recession, spending lots of money, what will happen....think about all this when you get to that bridge.... ...anyway, everyone will give you various opinions but in the end, the decision is yours to make!! hope this helps
  5. what do you guys think about sebcur/t, this was prescribed to my by my doc...it has helped me with itching and scaling. http://www.dermtek.com/products/sebcur_t.html
  6. I've used nizoral but made my scalp very dry, now I use Sebcurt which was prescribed by the doctor and it works. No more itching or scaling scalp.
  7. Bill... thanks for your help, I beleive that I've finally come to the right place to get the help and guidance I needed. This is a great community. mr. GQ...what/who is LMS?
  8. thanks for putting so many options on the table guys...but unfortunately i'm just a student and I work part time so I do not have health benefits...either I'll get the prescription for minox from my doc or get it from states. btw any reputable sites to order minox foam online (I'm in Canada)? Just wondering how much the minox faom is going for in states's phamacies?
  9. thanks for your help eman, I'm in Montreal and the nearest us city i beleive is Champlain, NY...it's about 45 min drive...I guess this is the best way to go...
  10. I checked london_lad's profile and oh my what a transformation, I'm really impressed with H&w work...I will take better pictures and get a virtual consultation with them asap... thanks for your help
  11. thank you for your prompt responses Bill, my follicles are really very precious and about the title....I wanted to put a catchy one to get everyone's attention and get as much feedback as possible which will help me make the right decision...I don't want to end up looking like "Smeagol" from LOTR...lol btw, your story is a great inspiration for me and that's why I want to do something before it is too late....I also wanted to ask if a virtual consultation is good enough since I'm in Montreal, and Vancouver is far...I know that traveling shouldn't be a concern when you want to get the best for you, but do I must really visit personally to get a better consultation or a virtual one is good enough? going to Ottawa to see Dr. Rahal is not a problem since it is only 2hrs away...which I'll be doing after the holidays... sorry to ask this again but I've posted this in q&a forum that which is better rogaine foam or spray and where can i get rogaine foam in canada? thank you once again for the help.
  12. Hi all, I would like to know which one is a better choice: rogaine spray or foam? Also, since i'm from canada, i can only get 2% over the counter, not the 5%. So if i plan to get the foam, than how and where can i get it from? Thanks in advance for your help.

  14. first of all, let me say thank to all the members, staff, admin, etc who are contributing to this community. I've been a reader of this forum for a while and it has helped me a lot in my research on my hair loss. I've started loosing hairs when I was 17. I was so depressed that I couldn't concentrate on anything. anyway, like any other new victim to hair loss, i started searching for treatments and this was in yr 2003. withouth any research i dialed a number which i found in yellow pages and made an appointment with a clinic in Montreal (I wont' name the clinic but pm me if you'd like to know more). they said they can help me restore my hairs with their treatment which consisted of cleaning the hair follicles using their special shampoo, synergen, and some other stuff which i've forgotten the name to>> Anyway, I paid a 100$ for couple of treatments which according to them were not enough...they said i need full treatment of about 6months....and for that i have to pay 2000$. at that point, i was ready to do whatever i can to get that treatment. Since i was young and didn't have a credit, i had to borrow from my parents...anyway i wont go in more details> the bottom line is it didn't work and i discontinued going to them to get their treatments....instead i lost more hairs. At that point i started searching on the net and found rogaine, in 2004 i started using rogaine and used for a year, which i beleive had worked for my back and not the top of the scalp...anyway in 2005 i stopped using it cuz i had to go to a trip for 2 months. When i got back after two months i had lost a lot of hairs and i went into depression. the only option i had was to shave my head which worked for me for a while but than in 2007 i started doing more research and ended up getting a prescription for propecia. After 6 months of usage i didnt' see any results but i did see the side effects. I was having erectile dysfuntion...i got scared and stopped the treatment immediately....and now since than i've been searching and researching on different options on what to do. I live in Montreal and there are no good ht doctors in my region. I'm very depressed because I'm only 24 and I've a massive hairloss.... According to my reserach HT is the only option I've left and the two doctors that i've found that might be a good choice for me are : Dr. Rahal and H&W. Rahal could be a good choice cuz Ottawa is about 2 hours drive from Montreal. I'm also considering starting Rogaine again to keep the hairs in the back that I've left. The reason for this long story is to say that be aware of all the phony treatments and do the research before you make a final decision and also to get a feedback from you guys. I'll shortly upload some pictures and post the links. your feedback will be much appreciated. Thanks a lot [
