Hi Sharptooth, after my 4th procedure my scalp was indeed tight for several months as I can remember but after a while I just stopped noticing it was, I guess it could be the same for you, try not to concentrate on it.

I will be in London on the 17th of February to meet up with potential patients who are considering surgery with Hasson and Wong to answer general questions regarding hair transplants and relate my experience of surgery with H&W and for those to see a hair transplant in the flesh so to speak. Hi Jim, I agree with what splitting hairs says if you want the best you will have to invest more than what you have saved so far.1200 grafts is unlikely to go very far even on the most minimal loss and if you are looking for a cheap job you will more than likely end up regretting it.Save more, get on propecia and research all the top docs whilst you are saving.

Hi Batel, you would really need to contact these clinics direct for a consultation regarding the price, but google them first to read some reviews as there are alot of horror stories out there.I would spend some time on this site reading and learning before making any kind of commitment

The patient in question would have had a consultation in person before surgery like any patient coming from overseas, remember photos can only tell so much, and would have been told that after being able to assess his donor/ laxity in person that H&W would have been able to go for more than the original estimate of 4-4500 if it was felt that it was needed for his own situation and the patient also was happy with this.

Oh dear, this just goes to show how carefully you have to research these things in the UK.Campbell have you posted any online pictures of your situ for the forum to see? Before you consider booking with any surgeon i would strongly recommend seeing some of their patients in the flesh first.

Hi guys and gals for those that don't know me i would like to introduce myself i have recently become the UK consultant for Hasson And Wong.I had surgery with them in June 2006 for 4850 grafts.....the results well they speak for themselves. In a nutshell i had three disasterous surgeries in the UK Dr May in 1996 for roughly 450 grafts, and then twice in 97 and 98 with the notorious Dr Norton for a similar amount i was left with three separate scars alot of my donor wasted i was given mini grafts of 3-5 hairs mainly along my hairline which were pluggy, unnatural and pitted, i was also left with nerve damage after Dr Norton managed to connect my artery to my vain leaving a golf ball size lump on the site of the scar which i had to go back and deal with, after these experiences i gave up on my hairloss and my own appearance and confidence suffered and i became quite introvert. It wasn't until 2006 eight years later that i started to look again for remedies (all my existing hair had fallen out and i was left with just the ugly plugs as i had not taken any measures to stop my hair from falling out).After alot of research and heartache i booked my 4th procedure with Hasson and Wong in Vancouver....skip all the way to now, 3 and a half years later my life has turned totally for the better so much as that i had almost totally stopped posting on these sites, i had moved on with my life and no longer worry about my hair.Of course for the first year i needed sites like this as a crutch and posted my results on a monthly basis. I hope i can be of some help to guys who were in my position find a way of putting their hairloss issues behind them like i did. If i can be of any help please don't hesitate to ask. David

Looks like people ought to get the correct information before jumping to wrong conclusions.Dr Rahal has produced some quality work time and time again, this imo was a dissapointing result but the fact that Dr Rahal is putting it right with 1500 grafts goes a long way to say what decent person he is. All the best with it azza.

I hate to tell you this great guy but you have been fleeced you probably never got the 900 you paid for and they just don't have the ability to do dense packing.Push then for a partial refund if you are not happy and they admit it is not good enough....just don't go under the knife with that clown May again. I had my first ht back in 96 with him when i was 23 and had little hairloss, he gave me a wide scar, pitting, a pluggy hairline that would ultimately be too low for my nw pattern, in the words of Richie the guy is a fuc**ng d*ck.Personality of a fish aswell. Consult with Farjo in person and send some pics to H&W, Feller, Shapiro etc for an online consult, and meet up with Spex.Good luck.If i can help anymore let me know.

Crown i think you are mad, you are going to all that effort, lying to all the people you know and care about you and for what, fess up to your girlfriend at least, you live with her for heavens sake why are you so worried about telling her. Do you think she is going to dump you because you are getting a ht? No she is more than likely to dump you when you cover is finally blown and you she realises how well and easily you have been lying to her all this time. Sorry but i think you are crazy to lie to those that are so close to you, fair enough hide it from friends and work colleagues, you might find that your other half will be of great support to you over the next few months.

Dewayne, yes i think having had all those mini grafts affected the speed at which the new grafts came through, how much i don't know. The first 4 months were really difficult for me, as for the looking 50 well i felt nearly that old...but now i feel and look my age in fact i met up with 2 girls i used to date recently and they said i had improved with age....i'm 35 btw. Bill, thanks for the mail and everyone else for their positive comments. Joe i will make it back to Vancouver one day i'm considering a tour of the US and Canada next year and will have an extended stay near Hasson and Wong so you can check out the chops over a beer or two.

I have been delighted with the results that have literally changed my life so much for the better, the pics speak for themselves. I intend on going back to h&w sometime to have my old scars revised and maybe a few grafts into the crown.
