  1. Armani_Patient (formerly known as Armanisucks), I definitely feel for you as the web of lies that Armani spins is quite deep, as is his web of lawyers, so perhaps there was some pressure applied to this forum as part of their 'settlement' to remove any outright 'attacks'. This is just a guess, but either way, your name is irrelevant, since the results speak for themselves. Here is another example of poor work done by Armani: http://www.hairsite.com/hair-l...er-descasc-DESC.html This is after 8-months: The lies start with saying that only Armani can plant grafts so densely, close off the temples and have such great design. Not true - most other doctors realize that this is poor use of a finite resource - your donor hair and *choose* not to do it. If one is to question why 4,000 grafts for a hairline when all other doctors typically recommend 50-60% of that, he will then say that the average patient has 10,000 - 15,000 donor grafts available. Again - simply not true. We've asked Pats205 and Shane (workers for Armani) on numerous occasions to provide evidence of cases this size, but not a single one ever materialized. Under the ideal circumstances, a true rare patient may get close to 10,000, but most will likely top out at 6,000 - 8,000, which is still a lot. But, if you thought you only had 6,000 grafts to work with, would you ever agree to 4,000 for your hairline? Of course not, that would be irresponsible. So now you're hooked: you're shown photos of old strip procedures, which typically did turn out very well, but utilized a *lot* of grafts. But still, the results were solid. But he only does FUE now, using a motorized tool, planting thousands a day, with a questionable survival / transection rates as shown by more recent results. Then there is the question of the pressure tactics, agreements that are signed, etc. I think we should save your photos, this other patient's photos and anyone else's who is not pleased with Armani to help easily direct new patients looking for why we are not 'in favour' of Armani. "Armani_Patient", I do wish you luck and I definitely think you should consult with some of the top doctors. I know H&W was mentioned (great choice), but you should also consult with SMG - Shapiro Medical Group. They offer both strip and FUE and can therefore custom-tailer a plan that best suits your needs, if you decide to proceed. I think you make a 'road-trip' (or plane trip) of consultations with top doctors to really know what your options are so you can make a wise, well-informed decision. Good luck! M&M
  2. In a word - WOW! It looks fantastic, frames his face perfectly, completely natural and great hair style.
  3. Session one looked very good, but Session two looks absolutely fantastic. Janna - can you mimic that on me? Seriously, this looks just fantastic - it's a modern style and completely natural. M&M
  4. I agree with you Janna. It's funny how there is an 'optimal' length of hair that allows density, yet doesn't weigh down the hair too much. The hairline is looking great and the beauty of this is that in 3 weeks, nobody will be any wiser as to the fact that Bash had a procedure. In fact, it likely will only take a week or so. Happy growing!
  5. Bash - that's great news! Congratulations on your procedure and I look forward to seeing your updates! M&M
  6. 7818 in one session? Wow! This looks incredibly natural and combined with the new haircut looks great. Nobody would ever guess a HT. What were the original grafts (4-8 hairs it almost looks like) and did you remove any or camouflage around them. Again - great work! M&M
  7. The work looks simply stellar. I also like that Dr. Ron selected the hairs from such a broad area on the back, thereby ensuring no 'thinning' in the donor zone. This is going to look great!
  8. Wow. The transplanted hair perfectly blends in with the rest of this patients hair. Very nicely displayed.
  9. Looks great Janna! I love the modern 'spiked' look. He must be very pleased with the results, especially considering how few grafts have been used to date. Clearly, there was a solid plan established. M&M
  10. It's just barbaric what used to be 'commonplace' many years ago with certain clinics taking advantage of the insecurity of the balding patient. Between scalp lifts, scalp reductions, huge plugs... and the list goes on. Congratulations on a great repair on this patient. Jotronic: I know we talked about this some time ago, but have H&W ever repaired a patient that was unfortunate enough to go that New Jersey outfit that used to create 'circles' in the scalp attaching hair weaves to staples, if memory serves correctly? It was just a brutal procedure leaving many suffering complete baldness as the body rejected the foreign object (staples). I also remember the same company shut down and resurfaced offering new 'strand by strand' hair weaving, and showing one of their former patients with circles around his scalp as a former butchered 'Hair Transplant' patient. Such lies. M&M
  11. Great transformation! I first looked at the one year photos and then went to the pre-op photo and thought "where is he?" No better compliment than that!
  12. BN, I was impressed by the improvement you have realized already to date, but then when you showed your pre-Shapiro photo, I was REALLY impressed! Congratulations. I know you deserve this and I'm so glad that your wishes are coming true! M&M
  13. Janna, Fantastic results. It truly impresses me how such a natural and subtle change can lead to such a dramatic appearance change just by proper framing of the face. M&M
  14. Janna, Thanks for sharing. I've been anxious to see some of SMG's FUE work and this truly looks remarkable. I'm still in some 'shock' at just how much better it looks at 3.5 months, which is typically where hair only starts to grow. This will look tremendous in the months to come! M&M
  15. When I had to pass through security at an airport, I was fortunate to meet a nice security guard. I mentioned that I had some surgery and asked if I could take off my hat in private. He basically said 'no problem' and motioned for me to go to a room, where I removed my hat, showing him the ugly mess that Bosley had done to my scalp. Regardless, I was on my way without any 'public unveiling'. For good reason, he probably felt sorry for me!
  16. Judge, Do you have any photos you could share to help guide us a little bit further? (You can certainly block out your face or crop it to keep your identity hidden) I'm certainly not surprised that a #1 will show your scar - it would be very rare if it didn't. I haven't seen many Armani scars, so I can't comment on how his typically look. Okay, you've tried out your first option of shaving, now perhaps you should see how short you can get away with - a 2 or 3 perhaps? You can also start to consider the rest of your options: do you want FUE into your scar so you can continue to shave your head and not worry about the thinning behind your hairline? Or have another HT so you can cover up the thinning and keep your hair a little longer in back to cover up the scar. Or have a larger FUE session to add some density to your mid-scalp as well as into the scar. These are just a few of the available options.
  17. Oh I'm glad PGP posted that as they could not be further apart! Dr. Ron & Paul are in a totally different league than... Dr. Lawrence Shapiro.
  18. Good question on different hairstyles and I'd have to fully agree with Jotronic in that there is an 'ideal' length. If it's too short, you don't get the layering effect, if too long, it gets weighted down and less manageable. It will of course vary for each person and how much native hair they had to begin with and how good the Hair Transplant is. The Owen Wilson look is certainly something many can pull off, but without density and strong temples. Otherwise, it would take soooo much hairspray to hold everything in place. The fear would be some wind coming along and exposing receding temples, thinning spots - hairline or crown - making others believe that the hairsytle was not done by 'choice', but by requirement to 'cover something up' or worse yet - a comb-over look. I've certainly been impressed with photos lately that show some extremely modern hairstyles, without having to utilize 'Armani' levels of grafts. M&M
  19. Eman, Congratulations on such amazing results after just 8 months. Just think, you still have another 4+ months of growth ahead of you, which should lead to you being able to try a variety of hairstyles that you find best suit you and are easy to maintain. The coverage and placement looks great and very natural! Thanks for the continued thorough updates. M&M
  20. Congratulations Drew35! This should set the stage for a terrific transformation. What really impresses me is the overall hairline and temple design. This really should look very good when it has all grown in. M&M
  21. Baxter, That's a great transformation you've had so far. Despite being only 6-months into your 2nd surgery addressing your crown, it really does bring everything together. It's amazing how even the growth that has come through so far has really made a dramatic appearance change. From everything I've seen on HT growth in crowns, it does seem to take longer - closer to 18 months for final results vs. around 12 for hairlines, etc. I'm not sure why, but it just seems to be this way with crowns. I should also say thanks for the great comparison photos at multiple angles. You've raised the bar for all of us in posting our own photos! M&M
  22. BigBill, I'd agree with mmhce, don't shave your head prior to a HT or consultation with a surgeon as by leaving your native hair in place, it will give them a good idea of your density. As for surgeons that don't require shaving your head at all for a HT, it depends upon the density you are seeking and the coverage and number of grafts. That being said, some doctors require shaving regardless. Dr. Ron Shapiro at SMG doesn't require shaving, but may trim some hairs to allow for easier and denser transplanting. Not shaving was one of the key items for me in selecting a surgeon (along with top results, naturally). I believe Janna has quoted 2500 or less grafts is manageable without shaving ... but please don't quote me on that. And as for results, just take a look at some of their recent posts. Good luck in your search! M&M
