  1. This looks fabulous Eman. I really am so pleased for you, particularly in view of all the help you have given people over the last few years in this forum - including me, all those months I was lurking in the threads. You deserve every happiness and success. Pity about the slipped disc, but at least you'll look cool while lying flat on your back! The difference in hair colour/texture around your temples seems to be less noticeable this month, so I imagine the same will happen with your scar hair. I must say I am curious that no one has yet asked you straight up whether you've had an HT, but I wonder if that has something to do with the relatively gradual nature of the change. Anyway, well done again. I am coming up fast behind you. 3.5 months and just beginning to sprout!
  2. Some might see this as mega-session. Given the excellent coverage, I think we could safely call it a giga-session! Congratulations Drew on a big decision and choosing a top doc. Heal well and enjoy your vacation. I really look forward to seeing you transform over the coming months.
  3. Hi Bill - hope you're healing well. I'm looking forward to seeing the next set of pics. Best wishes Acrobaz
  4. Great pictures. You look like you're healing really well, with little redness. That residual bruising will soon disappear. The donor area looks clean and healthy too. It must be a relief to be back home!
  5. Hi javy I used nanogen within about three weeks of my procedure on buzzed down hair. Did it look brilliant? No. But did it stop people noticing/asking questions? Yes. Judge for yourself: http://www.hairtransplantnetwo...pyID=3088&WebID=1147 Regards
  6. Hi Mane Attraction Thanks for an excellent write up: full, candid and honest. What an incredible journey you had too! I really like the new hairline in your blog pictures and look forward to seeing the pictures of your transformation. The wait is the hard part, but you will get there soon enough. Well done on doing your research thoroughly and choosing a top Doc. Regards
  7. Dr Lindsey - thank you for sharing this. I wish you and your family all the best and your daughter a complete recovery. May you have strength and resilience in the coming months.
  8. Thanks for the encouragement fellas. I'm looking forward to the next few months! Regards
  9. Hi Ceasar08 You might try Bumble & Bumble Gentle Shampoo. Personally, I use Revita as my main shampoo and Nizoral only occasionally. Regards
  10. Ok folks - now at 10 weeks and have updated my blog again. As the passing police officer might say, "move along now, nothing to see here". Unless you fancy indulging me and noticing some hairs growing in the recipient area that are only slightly larger than quarks.
  11. Well done mgem. It gets easier and easier as each day passes now - it really does.
  12. Who are you and what have you done with Eman!? Oh, it's you. Hey, nice one man. Looks fabulous and you continue to be a follicular inspiration to us all.
  13. Yes, I agree. In fact, I wish I'd been better at doing it, as then the scalp tightness after the op might have been less than it was. You won't regret it: what's 15 mins a day when you have a great head of hair for the rest of your life? Best wishes.
  14. Other pics would be good. But one other observation: recommending that you try out meds before looking into a transplant is a mark of a good doc.
  15. Hi mgem. Just wanted to give you a few words of encouragement. Of course you will be nervous, but you should also feel proud of yourself for making a big decision which will have a positive effect on your life. I remember thinking several times when sitting in the chair "I can't believe I've actually done it!" You will also feel a bit weird generally, but that will have just as much to do jetlag and being in a different culture for a few days. Possibly also a touch of loneliness if you are not being accompanied by your wife. He's a great doc - you'll be fine and well looked after. It seems like only yesterday for me but in fact it was 9 weeks ago. Like me, you will very soon be 9 weeks down the line offering words of encouragement to others facing the same journey. Take a deep breath - nearly there now. If you feel shaky and want to chat, pm me and I'll give you a contact number. Best wishes Acrobaz
  16. I agree also. You seem to have good density elsewhere and you also ought to consider propecia to protect your crown. Good luck.
  17. Abe/Petchski - my HT brothers! Class of 2009! I'm actually in the exact same position as you. I definitely have small hairs coming through in the recipient area - but only on one side at the moment - and in a hairline area that was previously completely bald. Ages to go yet though ... but something is definitely happening ...
  18. Eman - sorry if you've dealt with this elsewhere ... was your scar noticeable on a #2 clip after six months?
  19. Maxxy and mmhce are right - in most cases, the newly transplanted hairs will shed. A typical time frame is 2-4 weeks but I have had some hanging on (I'd guess about 30) and I'm now at nearly two months post-op.
  20. Mike - having read the original post (and having been thinking since about your conundrum) I'm really glad you've figured it out. Best of luck for the future.
  21. Most people on the forum who have spent time researching the issue will have developed a top five or ten and, naturally enough, there is sometimes a tendency for people to be vocally supportive of their own chosen surgeon. There are also well established names and some real up-and-coming stars. But I'm not sure that there is a clear "Tiger Woods" leader. It's good for competition that there isn't - it keep all the good docs on their toes.
  22. Antiseptic cream on the donor area Aloe vera on the recipient area Both worked a treat for me!
