I thoroughly agree with HAIRTHERE This forum has been a fantastic source of unbiased information for me!! Carry on the good work Bill!!

Gthompson You have obviously come onto this website to promote the surgeoon who pays your wages, and not to assist the balding patients with their h/t concerns. I use this site because the guys on here care about patients, and fees paid by doctors to the site , do not enter into the equation!! To promote YOUR employer you need to approach it from a different angle, post RESULTS on here!! cos as we all say it's these that count!! And as for qouting rules and regs, i for one hav'nt got a clue what your talking about!! Post some post / op and grown out results, then i will take notice of you!!

Multi Vitamin for men???
Clive McQuire replied to receding_rearguard's topic in Open Hair Loss Topics
Dewayne Protein suppliments, such as Whey, are a good means to ingest protein in an easily digestible form. They are a SUPPLIMENT to your normal diet, and should be used as such. However if you are training hard and looking to build muscle, you will need at least 1gm of protein per lb body weight, per day. So as such whey is a good option. Keep carbs and fat low, and keep up the aerobic work and you will get leaner!! By the way i may be a follicular novice, but i'm definetly a long term gym head!! All the best Clive. -
experiences with FUE?
Clive McQuire replied to fusion47's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
This debate is very interesting!! and in some places quite excitable!! However my concern is mainly this, i came on this site as a complete h/t novice, and as such was very susceptible to taking in what i read. So for someone who only offers F.U.E surgery to constantly bash strip surgery, whilst omitting to explain the possible down sides of the F.U.E procedure, is in my opinion misleading to the inexperienced viewer!! Surely the point of this forum is to help persons with hair loss!! so if experienced surgeons, who offer BOTH techniques, are prepared to explain the down sides of F.U.E then why not Bverotti?? unless he has a financial incentive to not do so. -
experiences with FUE?
Clive McQuire replied to fusion47's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
I have read many posts on this site, where people have been accused of being clandestine salesmen!! In my opinion this is the most brazen case yet!! Bverotti is misleading new members with these outlandish claims!! and if indeed he is owner/part owner of th eclinic, then the case is proven!! -
Multi Vitamin for men???
Clive McQuire replied to receding_rearguard's topic in Open Hair Loss Topics
Receding Ditto Dabuski, vitamins will not make your hair grow!! However general body health should be top of your list!! do a poll of 100 women, and ask them if a slim fit healthy guy whos bald, isn't more appealing to them than the guy Dabuski describes!! Sometimes we get to hung up on our follicles, and forget that they are just one part of being attractive, and healthy!! All the best Clive. -
you can get a good h/t in the uk
Clive McQuire replied to best uk hairtransplant's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Great thread Made me laugh more than "The life of Brian!!" Geography doe'snt come into it at all!! If dr Feller or H&W were based in Blackpool, guess you American guys would all be in B&B's there for the weekend!! Results count!! not air miles!! -
had consoltation today with Dr Farjo
Clive McQuire replied to Andrewsheff's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Andrew I thoroughly agree with Spex on this one!! Did 4 UK consults then after much research booked my flight to New york!! Don't let distance put you off, get some photo's downloaded, and have online consults with the top docs you will see on this site!! All the best Clive. -
Too young Having been in the gym business for many years i will give you my thoughts on your question. Gym training/bodybuilding will not with normal protein/vitamin supplimentation, increase MPB. However i do suspect that the use of Anablic steroids, esp tetosterone based oral drugs, will!! That is my experience from watching long term customers from both camps. Exercise is good for your body, and will improve self image, esp if your follicles are deserting you!! as a previous poster on another thread said "If you've got a 50" chest and 20" arms, the girls won,t notice your lack of hair.!!" all the best Clive.

Meat Been taking protein suppliments for 30 years and probably the next 30. As far as i'm aware protein is good for your hair, so only 2 things will make you lose hair, MPB and some illness/stress!! So blame it on your uncle, and go mix a protein shake!! All the best Clive.

Mav Like you i just don't do pills!! so for me the thought of taking FIN for life is a no go. I have had a h/t with Dr Feller, 7 weeks ago, and there was no suggestion from him that i should start to take drugs after the procedure. Obviously without any meds you must accept that transplanted hair asside, you will still be at the mercy of further loss due to advancing mpb! And therefore always bear this in mind when planning the use of your donor. All the best Clive.

Hair growth products
Clive McQuire replied to SamM's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Sam If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is!! Finasteride will if taken forever, slow down or even halt your mpb progression, but as for regrowth, book yourself a ht with a top doc, cos thats the only way you will get your own hair back!! all the best Clive. -
Best place for fraxel in NY/ NJ area?
Clive McQuire replied to needhelp3's topic in Open Hair Loss Topics
Needhelp Have you thought about some F.U.E grafts into the scar?? i've seen some great results posted on this site!! All the best Clive. -
A motion of Thanks for the good docs on the forum !
Clive McQuire replied to a topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
lara I Think you will find the people on this site are genuinely interested in patients getting the best h/t care possible!! So if you are hearing glowing reports about a surgeon then that probably is at as result of their personal experiences, and not that they are "Paid salesman!" Take a step back, speak to spex, and i'm sure your problems will be resolved! All the best Clive. -
FUE & other questions
Clive McQuire replied to whymewhy's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Whymewhy When i first started to research for my h/t i was fully sold on F.U.E. However, after looking into it quite extensively, i formed the opinion that F.U.E was not all i thought. The main downsides that i discovered were the lower growth % of grafts, even in skilled hands, due to the extra stress/damage risk, to the grafts. The "Scarless" procedure was not in fact scarless, and is still visible on a close buzz, no less so than a well executed strip scar. The cost is almost double that of a strip procedure, and the grafts available in a single procedure seems to be a lot lower than with strip. So after a lot of thought i went for strip surgery with Dr Feller. However it must be said that F.U.E has a place alongside strip, for smaller procedures, for those lucky enough to just require temple work, or for the repair of poorly executed strip scars. Do your research thoroughly, and consult with some top docs, then draw your own conclusions. All the best Clive. -
What are the possible Negative's of HT?
Clive McQuire replied to charlie_08's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Charlie I can think of three possible down sides. 1) Getting a sub standard procedure. 2) An expectation that at NW6, you are going to have a full head of hair after the surgery. 3) Being enbarrassed, that you have a red head for a few months, and then after 6 months why you have all this new hair growing!! So 1) Dont choose the first person who you go to, research well, and pick a top doc. 2) Don't expect to look like you did at 17!! 3) Plan what you are going to do/say after your procedure Good luck Clive. -
Blood work prior to ht
Clive McQuire replied to hair_care's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Hair-care I think you will find that the blood test is to identify if you have any blood borne disease, such as HIV, HEP B/C. This i'm sure is to protect the doc and his technicians during the procedure, as there is a fair bit of bleeding from scalp incisions. Your Doc should provide you with a detailed check list of tests to be performed prior to any surgery. All the best Clive. -
John Welcome to the forum, and you are quite right, without these guys on here i would have been totally lost as well!! As regards your question about taking hair loss drugs, the idea is that the drugs will help keep the hair that you already have, and may in some cases result in strengthening or even some re growth, although i think you will find regrowth is somewhat rarer. The problem with male pattern hair loss is that like your father, you may well progress to a NW6 or NW7, which means that the area to be covered would require a huge number of grafts!! So if you can slow down or stop your progression, this will allow a Doc to do more with your donor supply. Hope this helps. All the best Clive.

DHI Greece...Go or not
Clive McQuire replied to exchange's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Exchange At first a "Guarantee!!" sounded good to me!! But think about it, if i had 3000 grafts removed by them and they did'nt grow, where does that leave me?? So i go back and they take another 3000 of my already scarce donor, and they don,t grow?? A guarantee is only ok for a second hand car, look after your precious donor and go to a top doc!! Good luck with your consults. All the best Clive. -
Price per graft or fixed Quote?
Clive McQuire replied to Falconny's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Billonny As you will no doubt hear on this site again and again, do your research and make your own choice of the surgeon YOU feel is right for you. I had a consult with Dr Farjo, and he was very helpfull and skillfull, and as you can see from his posted work on here, (Via Mick ) his results are excellent. However my choice was Dr Feller, and i feel that was a good choice for me. Consult with at least 6 surgeons before you decide, and don't let distance put you off. All the best. Clive.
