Why is everbody saying MHR is bad?? What is your proof??
Clive McQuire replied to mpkoons's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
MPKOONS When you come on here as a novice, as i did last year, you presumably are looking for unbiased advice? So why not take it?? Common sense will tell you that if you go to a named surgeon, who performs the procedure on you personally, then you can research and see grown out results for him. If you go to a "Hair mill" where a company employs many different surgeons, how on earth can you be sure of the quality you will receive. Good advice from all on this forum, will be to go to a recomended surgeon, and research long and hard before you decide. A hair transplant is for life, and you will have to look at it every day. Good luck in your research. Clive. -
Hair Transplans
Clive McQuire replied to chris denham's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Chris Firstly welcome to this forum, which is an excellent place to research before your h/t. As Stamos suggests, pictures will help members give advice. FUE is suitable for small areas of loss, and Dr F is without a doubt one of the best for this type of procedure. However if you are suffering severe loss, like myself and many others on here, i would suggest that you speak to the Doc, or Spex, first, as they will probably suggest that a strip procedure with it's higher graft yields , would be more appropriate in your case. Best of luck with your research, and whatever you do, don't rush it, and go to a top Doc. Clive. -
7 month update after my 2700 grafts by Dr FELLER.
Clive McQuire replied to Clive McQuire's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Hi Spex Thanks for your post and your recent e mails, helpfull as ever. Good of the Doc to take time to post the photos for comparison, but as you can see, the hair was a lot longer in June, as i had grown it for 8 months to help cover the scarring on the donor. I now have reverted to a grade 5 ish buzz which is slightly shorter than i will normally have it, so i will post at month 12, which is probably about fully grown out, and stabalised, for comparison. I am pleased with the hairline, and as i say keep getting positive remarks from family and friends. Will get in touch with you at that time for another consult with the Doc. Regards Clive. -
7 month update after my 2700 grafts by Dr FELLER.
Clive McQuire replied to Clive McQuire's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Hi guys Thanks for looking, and thank you Dr Feller. Although as you say its still looking thin up there, i think that in the before pics, i had a lot of length , whereas in the current shots, i am down to a grade 5 buzz. If you look at the side by sides you can see that the good Dr has filled in the bald areas in my temples, and i now have a significantly improved hairline. So much so in fact that peole have started looking at me and asking why i have more hair?? Being realistic about what can be achieved, is something that i would always advise newbies to this forum, and as such i always knew that my hair loss would never be a one hit cure, so i will be looking at the mid 1/3rd in my next procedure. Mr GQ, with regards to meds, that is (On a purely personal note) something that i would not consider, so i have never taken any, nor will i. So i will obviously be at the hands of mother nature with regards to future loss. I am happy with my growth so far, but as it is always mentioned on this site, patience is what is required, and i am reliably informed that 7 months is too early to start thinking "is that it then??" Only problem for us limeys at the moment is you yanks have chopped the good old pound!!! so i may have to save up a bit longer for the next Fellerisation, unless the good doc starts doing interest free credit!! All the best Clive. -

7 month update after my 2700 grafts by Dr FELLER.

Before and after shots at 7 months. I am pleased with the growth so far, but like every one would like more in the coming months. -
Hi guys. Question for the gurus out there. I'm 5 months post op, having had 2700 grafts placed in the hairline by Dr Feller. I have started to get some decent growth in the recipient, but have also recently noticed hairloss in both temple regions. As i have never suffered hair loss in this region before, i am wondering if this could be shock loss at this late stage? Your observations would be much appreciated. Clive.

Dwayne A hair transplant on the cheap in Thailand!!! Sounds that a dream that would have me waking up in a sweat!! Its your 23 year old head, think about this long and hard, your not buying a used car. If money is a problem, save up and wait, then get yourself on a plane to a top doc in the states. Clive.

which body hairs for HT ?
Clive McQuire replied to javy's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Javy I think you will find that body hair transplantation is a somewhat unproven principle, due mainly to the different charecteristics of the hair. I think it is also fair to say that the % yield of such a procedure is very low. So all in all, stick to the safe zone at the rear of your scalp for your donor. All the best Clive.
