  1. MPKOONS When you come on here as a novice, as i did last year, you presumably are looking for unbiased advice? So why not take it?? Common sense will tell you that if you go to a named surgeon, who performs the procedure on you personally, then you can research and see grown out results for him. If you go to a "Hair mill" where a company employs many different surgeons, how on earth can you be sure of the quality you will receive. Good advice from all on this forum, will be to go to a recomended surgeon, and research long and hard before you decide. A hair transplant is for life, and you will have to look at it every day. Good luck in your research. Clive.
  2. Chris Firstly welcome to this forum, which is an excellent place to research before your h/t. As Stamos suggests, pictures will help members give advice. FUE is suitable for small areas of loss, and Dr F is without a doubt one of the best for this type of procedure. However if you are suffering severe loss, like myself and many others on here, i would suggest that you speak to the Doc, or Spex, first, as they will probably suggest that a strip procedure with it's higher graft yields , would be more appropriate in your case. Best of luck with your research, and whatever you do, don't rush it, and go to a top Doc. Clive.
  3. Hi Spex Thanks for your post and your recent e mails, helpfull as ever. Good of the Doc to take time to post the photos for comparison, but as you can see, the hair was a lot longer in June, as i had grown it for 8 months to help cover the scarring on the donor. I now have reverted to a grade 5 ish buzz which is slightly shorter than i will normally have it, so i will post at month 12, which is probably about fully grown out, and stabalised, for comparison. I am pleased with the hairline, and as i say keep getting positive remarks from family and friends. Will get in touch with you at that time for another consult with the Doc. Regards Clive.
  4. Hi guys Thanks for looking, and thank you Dr Feller. Although as you say its still looking thin up there, i think that in the before pics, i had a lot of length , whereas in the current shots, i am down to a grade 5 buzz. If you look at the side by sides you can see that the good Dr has filled in the bald areas in my temples, and i now have a significantly improved hairline. So much so in fact that peole have started looking at me and asking why i have more hair?? Being realistic about what can be achieved, is something that i would always advise newbies to this forum, and as such i always knew that my hair loss would never be a one hit cure, so i will be looking at the mid 1/3rd in my next procedure. Mr GQ, with regards to meds, that is (On a purely personal note) something that i would not consider, so i have never taken any, nor will i. So i will obviously be at the hands of mother nature with regards to future loss. I am happy with my growth so far, but as it is always mentioned on this site, patience is what is required, and i am reliably informed that 7 months is too early to start thinking "is that it then??" Only problem for us limeys at the moment is you yanks have chopped the good old pound!!! so i may have to save up a bit longer for the next Fellerisation, unless the good doc starts doing interest free credit!! All the best Clive.
  5. Hi Guys Have posted some 7 month pics. Am pleased so far, but like all of you hope for that 8 month spurt. Clive. P.s Petchski, what you saying about our British weather??
  6. Before and after shots at 7 months. I am pleased with the growth so far, but like every one would like more in the coming months.

  8. Hi guys. Question for the gurus out there. I'm 5 months post op, having had 2700 grafts placed in the hairline by Dr Feller. I have started to get some decent growth in the recipient, but have also recently noticed hairloss in both temple regions. As i have never suffered hair loss in this region before, i am wondering if this could be shock loss at this late stage? Your observations would be much appreciated. Clive.

  10. Dwayne A hair transplant on the cheap in Thailand!!! Sounds that a dream that would have me waking up in a sweat!! Its your 23 year old head, think about this long and hard, your not buying a used car. If money is a problem, save up and wait, then get yourself on a plane to a top doc in the states. Clive.
  11. Ozzie Bloke Hasson and Wong without any doubt!!! If your dollars are short, wait it out. You will only get one head, so money should'nt make your decision for you. All the best Clive.
  12. Marc Thats some rapid growth at 7 weeks!! I must be one of the "Normal" growers as i'm at 13 weeks and my little babies have just started to wake up!! And all that from a company we don't usually see any good results from!! Congratulations. Clive.
  13. Javy I think you will find that body hair transplantation is a somewhat unproven principle, due mainly to the different charecteristics of the hair. I think it is also fair to say that the % yield of such a procedure is very low. So all in all, stick to the safe zone at the rear of your scalp for your donor. All the best Clive.
  14. Thinman I'm at 3 months as well and i've got the same tingling sensation, and plenty of zits in the recipient area. Clive.
  15. Romano Welcome to the forum. you will get many responses from knowlegable and helpful members, who like you are suffering from MPB. My first advice would be to post some clear photos on the site of your hair loss, from front ,top and sides. This will enable members to look at your hair loss charecteristics, and the extent of your loss on the NW scale (Use search on here to see photos ) With regards to what you can do to replace your lost hair, you must be realistic! the bottom line being if you are destined to go to NW7 then the ammount of donor hair available in your "Safe zone" will not be enough to give you a full covering of hair, over your entire head. You must therefore decide, with the help of one of the coalition surgeons advice, what you wish to do. I suspect you will find that a conservative hairline, and a covering of hair on the rest of your head will be achievable, although this will probably need 2 or 3 procedures. Cost will probably be in the region of $8-10,000 per procedure, depending on clinic, but do not try to get it done on the cheap, as disaster awaits the unwary, who use second rate clinics. So photos first, then plenty of research and consults with top surgeons. Good luck. Clive.
  16. Simple/health/rock555 You are outed!!! post your ads elsewhere!!
  17. Apichai I would reinforce the other guys advice. Look at online consults with top surgeons as recomended on this site, as i think you said on your orginal post, the results are amazing!! Do not let travel put you off, you can get the best surgeons in the world to perform your procedure for the same cost as local hair mills. Good luck with your research. Clive.
  18. Hairthere Cos he's one in the same as "Health" and is a salesman for the company!!
  19. Health As sold on Ebay!! Save your money. Clive.
  20. Martin As the guys have said, research long and hard, and have consults with the top surgeons recomended on this site. From my perspective, long term useage of drugs like propecia would not be an option, but from research on here, you will see that it is the only proven non surgical way to slow your hereditary H/L. When thinking of a H/T at a young age (Under 30) you must consider future hair loss, and be very cautious with the use of your limited donor supply. I'm sure a top surgeon would help you with your long term options. Good luck with your research. Clive.
  21. T.C He should be able to afford a couple of sessions with Dr Feller on his ??25000 a week!!
  22. Just a question as a new boy on the site!! If your hair was only 100 fu's per cm2 before you lost it , then why would you want to exceed this on a transplant?? when you know you have a limited number of grafts to repair whatever nature deals you out at the end of your mpb!! Seems a strange boast to me!!
  23. London I did'nt have any problems. Got a letter from my GP for blood tests at the local hospital (Free) And had the staples out at my GP surgery by the practice nurse!! (Also free) All the best Clive.
  24. 23 Yep it's a load of crap!! genetic MPB and some illness makes your hair fall out!! Pack your gym bag and get down there!!
