  1. Hi mate , I sort of feel like that but know crowns take time . I'm 9 months , some say 18 months is the time for crowns....some days I look and think good progress and others I feel like its not happening.Classic hair greed!
  2. I've had both , I'm 35 now and back in 2008 i had quite a lot of loss in my crown....ironically i went to Dr Feller and had strip of 1800 grafts which gave me good enough coverage for then and i was pleased enough. Last year i decided to see if i could finish the crown or a least get more density , i decided to look into FUE as while I'm happy enough with the scar i have from 2008 i didn't want another and more importantly i didn't think my current loss justified another strip so i went to Dr Doganay for 1057 FUE. I honestly think both have there parts to play in the H/T world but both come at a cost , while i do believe strip gives slightly more established results i understand scars are a big thing for people....I've lost count the amount of times I've sat twitching in Hairdressers thinking they are staring at the back of my head in fact I'm on about my 8th different barber! FUE on the other hand has grown hugely in the last 10 years , i found it a lot less painful than my first op and seemed quicker too. I'm still only 9 months out on FUE so it's hard for me to fully judge yet. I personally don't believe in big FUE sessions , I'm not keen on grafts being out for long spells either.....for me anything over 4000 grafts is risky but at the end of the day any sort of H/T carries a risk and that's without going into each Dr's result / your genetics etc. Overall i think there's not much between them , strip just about edges consistency (i may change my mind when my fue is grown out) but that does come of the cost of having a strip for life no matter how good the scar is (and mine from Dr Feller is good ). Just my views guys .
  3. I'm currently 9 months out from my op with Dr Doganay , what would guys say is the best situation to judge a H/T ? Bed head ?, straight after washing / drying ? , after a days work ?
  4. Looking good Wevvo from another Hakan crown patient , are you looking for a full crown on final result?
  5. Looking good Swoop , keep the Hakan faith!
  6. I went to Dr Hakan in November , staff wise they are great ....as i had crown work done and that takes even longer i can't say about my end result yet ....check my thread and monthly updates in the Fue section on here.
  7. Johnboy , i went to Dr Hakan last year ....out of interest i asked how many beard grafts i have and he said about 5000 ....i too have a thick beard. Hope this helps.
  8. Hi guys , I started regaine foam a few months after my Op..the last month or so my skin has got pretty bad with huge white heads all in my bearded area . Shaving is becoming a nightmare...its like the minox is affecting my beard too. Any ideas anybody , I want to keep my post op routine up but this is a painful problem
  9. Thanks , I was told 1000 would be enough to fill the crown fully by A.H.D ( several other Dr's suggested nearly the same ) . I tend go think crowns grow slower so I'm about a 3rd through.
  10. To be honest mate I think you look fine without toppik , you make a great job of using it though. I'd grow the top bit out a inch or two and sweep to one side using a light holding spray , avoiding gel etc. I can see why you would want a top up h/ t on the front to finish off , just my view as I have wrinkles like you but a full toppik hairline could look a bit suspect ...its how you feel comfortable though mate.
  11. Hi mate , I had 1057 grafts ..200 single , 600 double and 275 triple grafts.
  12. Latest batch of pictures plus pre op at A H D .... Thoughts ?
  13. I was in this position before going for Dr Hakan , not much between them except Erodgan uses more grafts which in the short term probably gives a better result (as it should) . He suggested over 1000 more grafts than any other Dr including Bisanga and Lorenzo , that's his method fair enough but i like many have to plan ahead for further hair loss just in case. For you guys in this position i suggest 1. Research as many Dr's as possible. 2. Speak to as many ex patients as possible. 3. Listen to people in the same boat as you, not one's talking about things they are yet to do themselves ......
  14. 5 month update...not sure if anybody follows this thread .....? All taken under light , starting to see progress I feel
  15. as stated... Very early days still , stubble appearing in patches .....slow waiting game
  16. Just posted a short video of my donor area at 3 months , please click on my profile and look under videos
  17. Hi mate , i went to Dr Hakan last year and flew in and out Antalya ....no trouble with checks at all , they are used to it I'd say (booming industry for Turkey ) . The only issue to be aware of is the after op kit they give you , i only had hand luggage so the shampoo had to stay behind as the bottle was too big ...got away with the pot of lotion though.
  18. Donor Recovery -3 months .Amazing recovery of that area , now the wait begins....
  19. Well 3 months is up guys ....still feeling stubble , had a much shorter haircut that exposes me a bit too much . It does however show off how good the donor area is 3 months out , just the waiting game now....
  20. Asmed or my choice Dr Hakan Doganay , I'm 3 months out with him ....so far so good , patient after care 1st class . IMO you need to stick to approved Dr's , need any help PM me.
  21. Don't rush into anything mate , have a good look around at Drs and results.....my concern is your age buddy. You must stay on the meds if you go ahead with this.
