  1. Ok , next lot just over a week old.. So scabs all but gone and so pleased to wash my hair today with baby shampoo , the implanted spiky hairs have grown a bit and most are still in . The shed that will happen in the next few weeks will be a sad time lol
  2. Taking shape mate , thanks for the help with my PM's to you as well.
  3. 1. Fear of people you know finding your photo's and knowing you have had a HT 2. Good result and moving on with your life. 3.Can't be arsed. 4.Clinics prefer to post pictures for you . 5.People only really comment these days on mega results or really bad I'm going to try to keep mine updated .
  4. Totally but then you wouldn't expect good Dr's to employ techs like that , IMO it's getting to the point soon where we will be choosing Dr's for their rep and the quality of their techs.
  5. Hi mate , yes for sure on me it was only the Dr implanting using the choi pen. I believe there can be more than one patient in one day due to the motorized extraction method with his head tech does , i had manual of which the Dr did 50% and his head tech the rest. Graft placement took just as long as extraction as it was only him and he was carefully picking the areas to work in as he went along. While i won't get carried away until I've had a great result I'm pleased enough so far with Dr Hakan , the lack of redness due to the choi pen is incredible to b honest (pics soon). I just wish Dr Hakan (if his English was good enough) or one of his reps would come out and lay these various claims and rumours to rest once and for all. By the way i keep reading about Techs involved , IMO it's nothing new and in 2008 with the mighty and respected Dr Feller i had his head tech heavily involved in my op.
  6. I won't deny Lorenzo is top of the tree but having just been with Dr Hakan i think you are being over harsh with your post , Tech A and Tech B team ? , not to my knowledge ...he has a team of 4 tech and 1 head tech. Turns them out fast and in bulk ? ....not during my four days there . As far as I'm aware there was two on one day and the other days were medium size cases which took most of the day. To say fast and in bulk is a bit unfair mate. Has the knocked out / tech placing grafts rumour ever been 100% proved ? , stand corrected if so but having spent time with the Dr and the staff i find that hard to believe.I paid for a Hakan procedure and got a Hakan procedure..... Won't argue on Lorenzo , top class but i think your description of Dr Hakan and his methods is a bit off the mark.
  7. Hi , he does both but i requested punch as i felt a bit more confident that way . If i go back and now i have a feel for the Dr i could be tempted by motorized , he was clear with me there is no difference in results in his opinion.
  8. To be honest both Dr Lorenzo and Dr Hakan seem to be both great Dr's , if you have the money and the option of shaving down then Lorenzo maybe slightly the better choice , I didn't have that option but I'm sure and hope Dr Hakan has done a great job on me I will add having been to Dr Hakan and Dr Feller and studied the hair game for years there will not be a Dr with a 100% hit rate on happy customers , not even Lorenzo as much as i respect him. .
  9. I went to Dr Hakan a couple of weeks ago , i too had doubts right up to the day of flying ..i mean heading off to a country I've never been too and letting a Dr I've never met operate on my scalp?! . Again i too toyed with the idea of Lorenzo i came to the choice that at my time of life (just below 40 ) and with non hair things to pay for that i would take the leap with Dr Hakan . You can read my review on the whole thing if you look through my posts , i won't know the results clearly but everything else before it and after (i've had two emails asking how i am since i returned home ) has been first class. I was in Antalya but Dr Hakan has already done a few ops in Istanbul , a guy on here was there recently.
  10. He speaks broken English , enough to be clear during the op . He has two members of staff who look after you from the moment you land to the moment you leave that speak full english and they are also in the operating room checking on you.
  11. 1075 into my crown , you can find my post on the whole thing on here....look at my posts. Dr Feller is one of the best Dr's around , he did my first via fut and Hakan treated me just as well but of course i need to see results. As for your outcome ...well i can only say how well they looked after me and if i have a problem I'm sure Hakan will help me out.
  12. I've just come back from Dr Hakan , having been with Dr Feller before i can assure you Hakan has quality surroundings and is indeed moving into a new building in Istanbul next year . Dr Hakan does do repair work , I've seen two or three on here mate.
  13. I should also add my thanks to Xkos48 , Future HT Dr and a few other guys for their invaluable help with my questions , it's a great thing on here to be able to help others. Already I've had a few PM's asking about my op and Dr Hakan.

  15. Default Dr Doganay 1075 4/11/14 Hi guys , this week i finally got round to having my crown treated by Dr Hakan in Antalya , Turkey. Now clearly i will have to wait for the end results before making any clear judgement on the treatment but what i can talk about is the service i recieved. I landed late on Monday at the Airport to be met by the multi talented Didem who is a diamond , nothing is too much trouble and her English is great . I was taken to the private OFM Hospital in Antalya where i was shown to my room and a large bag of water and things to eat was given to me by one of Hakan's staff (keep in mind this was late at night there). The room was clean and tidy with a modern feel , walk in bathroom and wall mounted flat screen with two English channels as well as Turkish TV.....internet not so good!. I was woken early next morning to give blood before my operation followed by a light breakfast supplied by the Hospital , time soon flew and it was time to meet Dr Hakan to go through what would happen during the Operation . Didem was once again involved in the process and helping the translating between Dr Hakan and I. He speaks broken English but seemed a nice bloke , he uses his English at the correct vital times to put it one way. Once all was decided i headed off to have a strip shaved down on my head for which the grafts would be removed by manual punch , again it all seemed so smooth like they had done it a million times before together. Extraction came and Dr Hakan did about half before leaving his Tech to finish , I know there's some debate over that issue but i put my trust in the staff Hakan chooses. After that was done i was quickly bandaged up and taken for a light lunch which lasted about 25 minutes , i like the way Turkish people don't stare and don't care what you are having done . Lunch done and it's back in the chair for the best bit , using the Choi pen i can honestly say it was painless and quick . Didem and a guy who spoke English (sorry didn't catch his name) were again in the room checking on me and translating everything for Dr Hakan .All in all it took about 3.5 hours for the whole thing to be done which just breezed by , i was then wheeled back to my bed to rest (i was given tablets for pain and swelling ). Next morning came and again after a light breakfast i was taken to see Dr Hakan who inspected the work before i was taken to be shown how to be washed . After that it was time to pay up and was given a goody bag of pills (biotin/ fin) , creams and shampoo with instructions on how to use them all . I rested up the rest of the day before being taken to the airport by Didem and returned home. As i said at the start of this piece i can't see what the result will be but if it's anywhere near the care and attention i recieved from Dr Hakan , Didem and the rest of the staff i will be very happy . Top class service , i hope for the same result wise and right now i feel quietly confident . Already a few days on you can't notice surgery unless you dig deep so that's a good start.. Photos to follow when i get 5 mins
  16. Madrid's a lovely yet small capital city , make sure you go to the Plaza Maya . Careful with alcohol before the operation , I had mine last week in Turkey and I've decided to give it up both a week before and a few weeks after to help the healing . Talking of heat I'd have loved to have gone outside , stunning weather last week in Turkey but i couldn't take the risk! . I too looked into Lorenzo and if i had the money i would have quite possibly gone with him but it worked out well over double what i ended up paying . IMO i know the quality should come first but the price is also a major thing too.
  17. Hey , I'm no Dr but i suffered a greasy scalp and bumps / white heads for years . Dr's had no idea and antibiotics barely helped . In desperation i sprayed athletes footspray on the bad areas every other day followed by an evening wash with selsun blue .....within a month the spots stopped coming so i assume i had a deep rooted fungus issue. The spray had 1% of something in it....
  18. I should also add my thanks to Xkos48 , Future HT Dr and a few other guys for their invaluable help with my questions , it's a great thing on here to be able to help others. Already I've had a few PM's asking about my op and Dr Hakan.
  19. I came back this week with a cap very loosely balanced on my head , nothing you can do about taking it off at passport control though . I didn't travel until two days after my op and i hope that helped , i didnt see any bleeding or grafts .
  20. Apologies about the quality of some of these but my best pictures have vanished of the camera . 1. Post op 2. fue donor hidden under hair 3.crown two days post op 4. crown three days post op 5.crown one day post op.
