  1. oh do you think plucking would work? I thought when you pluck hairs they regrow stronger EDIT: i just plucked a few hairs out, probably only 10-15 to be conservative. i'm only month 4 post-HT and they came out more easily than a regular hair, i guess they're not strong yet. i wonder if just plucking them at this stage will damage the follicle enough so it doesn't grow back. it looks much better now. i'll post a photo tomorrow if i remember. but basically to my eye at least the shape of the hairline is more natural and doesn't catch the eye in that spot. if they keep regrowing i'll just try an at-home electrolysis on them - i've seen ones that just target single hairs.
  2. Did you go to an electrolysis clinic or have an at home device?
  3. I just have a very small amount of hair to remove, if you see the pic whatever is on the other side of the black line - i want it to be less rounded: @Gatsby happy to just remove this amount - looking at the area its probably 15-20 hairs only. i'm wondering if i could even just use something like this, a hand held at home electrolysis wand: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E2TGETG the reviews seem to say that it takes while until the hairs stop growing back, but that would be okay too.
  4. What are the options for hair removal when it comes to removing transplanted grafts in the hairline? i've seen a couple of threads of 'repair / correction surgery' by Dr Bisanga where he's punched out grafts in the hairline (I assume the same technique used to take them out of the donor). This seems to require at least two surgeries as not all hairs are grown out in that hair cycle. i've also heard others mention laser hair removal, is this an option also? Any others? Thanks
  5. I will leave final judgement until more around 8 months in, but now i look back at the original hairline design i noticed that the left (my preferred) side has a more angular point of where the hairline meets the temple, where as the right is more rounded. i'm noticing it more now as the hair is growing in. the rounded design doesn't look as natural. The right was more heavily reconstructed as I had asymmetric recession. I wonder if Dr Laorwong or Dr Bonus does graft removal. I think all this right side needs is a few grafts removed to make it more angular. If i went for a second appointment maybe I could look at adding more density too (if thats a problem - again lets see at 8 months or a year and decide). @Jamos1982 you recently went for a touch-up, did you get any grafts removed, or was it just added in your case? something more like the pic below:
  6. no, these are the hairs that didn't shed - i think thats why the tip is so big.
  7. Something interesting I've noticed for awhile now. Below is a picture of a hair I cut off near the tip (not near the root). See how on one end its thick for a small distance, and then it goes thinner? That thick tip was the outer most section of the hair, I think an original graft which didn't shed. It's interesting how it gets thinner and then sort of thicker again. Initially I thought it was that the hairs from the donor were taking on the hair quality on the hairline (thinner) but it seems to thicken up a bit. Maybe the stress from the operation provided less nutrients (well, most of them were shedding completely anyway).
  8. Completely, only my GF knows ive had it done. I just wear a hat outside when it's windy.
  9. Echo that I like the hairline design. 6.5cm is a standard number, no? You don't want to go lower. It also depends on your facial proportions, like brow to nose and nose to end of chin. People with longer faces might want 7cm to look natural. Caucasions usually have larger foreheads also. Ive got a larger forehead and kept it too. A lot can go wrong lowering the hairline.
  10. ~4 months pretty happy with how its going. i think generally i heal slower than average.
  11. made worse by the fact he's next to djokovics thick seal pelt of a head of hair
  12. i like this idea. also keep in mind that where ever your hairline is slick bald it will take a lot of grafts to make it look dense and natural. i've seen a lot of people make it way too low and it doesn't look good.
  13. hell yeah man. and its looking good already - can't tell you had anything done. i wonder if this is just common for 2nd HT's that are just increasing density
  14. Nice, looks good Jamos! i think i its whatever the ethnicity of the persons natural hairlines look line. the v shape looks good/more natural on most europeans IMO.
  15. last post at month 3 you'd had (nearly) zero growth and now BAM! awesome! i'm hoping for the same. Lets have this happen for another couple of months. Look at those photos from month 4 and 3 where you're looking down - both pics look like the same room, same lighting. Insane growth
  16. ~3 months left side looks like its doing a little better. Optimistic that this is the low point and growth kicks off from here.
  17. Mine did too. When it grows back it takes the characteristics of the hair in that area, so I think it will be thinner
  18. Should be plenty more time for density to fill in, hairline design itself looks great - very natural Also looks like a decent improvement from month3.
  19. looking good so far. i think you'd look better with the back and sides a bit shorter.
  20. no rush to get rid of them, by day 12 if they're still around you can try and leave olive oil on them for 30 mins then try to wash it off.
  21. some people have found benefit using very very low dose topical dutasteride - it is supposed to be less absorbable systemically than topical finasteride. urologists said everything is fine and its unrelated to finasteride - how did they explain the pain then? can you look into it further?
  22. good time to wear a beanie though, but give it a month or so first. i think as long as the cap itself isn't pressing on the recipient area grafts you're fine to wear it - make it loose and don't wear it all the time. this first couple of weeks is crucial to make sure you don't bang the area or cause any trauma.
