  1. Here is the Minoxidil Drug Facts sheet PDF from nih.gov. What exactly does this mean? "hair regrowth has not been shown to last longer than 48 weeks in large clinical trials with continuous treatment with minoxidil topical solution 5% for men" All I've read and heard so far about minoxidil is that you're supposed to be on it for the rest of your life. But the Drug Facts says that it won't for more than a year. ??
  2. No side effects after 4 months of daily use ~1.25mg/day. Bought in Turkey 5mg pills, per Dr. Gur's advice to cut them in quarters. I'm in my early 40s. Erections have been as strong as usual, and I haven't experienced any of the post-finasteride sydrome symptoms described on Wikipedia in any degree higher than before.
  3. Excerpts: "In a 20-day trial, mice treated with the 3D DP cells had regained 90% of hair coverage at 15 days." “MiRNAs, on the other hand, can be utilized in small molecule-based drugs. So potentially you could create a cream or lotion that has a similar effect with many fewer problems. Future studies will focus on using just this miRNA to promote hair growth.” Here's a layman's article from May 2022 - https://www.thebrighterside.news/post/microrna-regrows-90-of-lost-hair-study-finds Here's the original study from 2020 - Dermal exosomes containing miR-218-5p promote hair regeneration by regulating β-catenin signaling Shiqi Hu, Zhenhua Li, Halle Lutz, Ke Huang, Teng Su, Jhon Cores, Phuong-Uyen Cao Dinh, Ke Cheng Worth following up on, since the study was done 2 years ago.
  4. @FUECAPILAR, would be great if you could update the address of Fuecapilar. On Google Maps, it's marked as "serving the area of" Turkey, but it doesn't have an address in Istanbul.
  5. Can anyone confirm the location of the clinic where Dr. Gur operates, and/or the hotel where the patients stay? At least the general area? Why isn't this easy to find on Google Maps, and why doesn't the clinic seem to care about this? Google Maps has a weird lack of address for FUECAPILAR (the clinic shows up over the entire Turkey, WTF? Never seen this before in like 10 years of using Google Maps) fuecapilar.com has another weird address that Google Maps doesn't know what to make of: Acıbadem Mah. Sarayardı Cad. Tokmakoğlu İş Merkezi. No:52 D:5 Kadıköy/Istanbul ProvenExpert has an address of "FUECAPILAR & DR. DOGAN TURAN, Sarayardi Cad. No:13, 34718 Istanbul" RealSelf has a completely different address for Gokhan Gur, "Küçükbakkalköy Mahallesi, Merdivenköy Yolu Caddesi. No:12, 34750 Ataşehir, Istanbul" (and only 2 reviews) This one matched a Google Maps search for Gür Hair Transplant, which has zero reviews though, and a pretty ugly website, but the WhatsApp number listed on it did have a human that scheduled a video consultation with Dr. Gur. Everyone here seems to rave about Gur, but why is their map/online presence so broken and confusing? Why do they have so few reviews?
  6. Any updates on Dr. Gho's "stem cell" (actually, tiny punch extraction) method at the Hair Science Institute Clinics? The thread below ends in 2016 without good evidence of results. Another uncertain 2016 thread: The most recent info I found is this website "HASCI Exposed", now dead (2017 archive).
  7. The site is now dead, but here's an archive from May 2017 of HASCI Exposed.
  8. So the downpayment was made online. Did Cinik's staff ask to pay the remainder in cash?
  9. Congrats on the growth! At month #9 it looks quite natural to me, esp. on the left side. Earlier though, I understand why some have commented on the unnatural look: the transition from temples into the hairline looked a little too sharp. From the Ultimate Hair Transplant guide by Matt Dominance: But now at 9 months, it looks closer to the recommended image from the e-book:
  10. Have you used Minoxidil to accelerate growth? I've read on some doctors' sites that for the month prior to surgery, the patient should massage their scalp for 10-30 minutes, in order to improve bloodflow. This might also accelerate growth. Surprisingly, Matt Dominance's guide says nothing about this.
