  1. You should consult with an elite clinic who handle repair cases. This is a good case, seems a bit similar to yours: https://hassonandwong.com/hair-transplant-turkey/
  2. Would it be possible to tighten the definition further, saying that surgeons must do the recipient site creation? I think we would have a hard time recommending a surgeon who does extractions and/or implanting but not recipient sites.
  3. "For example, technicians may extract the grafts or implant the grafts. The surgeon must be involved in one of those aspects of surgery." This criteria doesn't make sense to me. Does it mean that a recommended surgeon must either extract or implement grafts to be on the recommended list? So surgeons who use highly experienced technicians for graft extraction and implantation, but "only" do the most crucial part of the procedure, i.e., the recipient sites / slits, need to be removed from the list?
  4. Have you been in contact with some of the veteran elite surgeons? Dr. Hasson implanted me at 80-85 FUs per cm, and the result is looking absolutely amazing
  5. You'll need almost the same density as the hair behind your new hairline. If not, you'll end up with a hairline in front of the hairline. Not a good look.
  6. Very nice indeed. Really like Wong's temple points, they are always executed in such a good way.
  7. Great point. If verteporfin is successfully we could all just go to Turkey and get even more misaligned and thick multi grafts in our hairlines
  8. This is your fourth thread on this matter. Crating another thread won't give you more answers. You are seeking medical advice, we are not doctors on this forum. Consult with your surgeon. Don't trust his answer? Consult with another surgeon for a second opinion.
  9. There is no evidence to the claim that you need to stop Finasteride or Durasteride when trying to conceive. Be it topical or oral.
  10. As a doctor, please share the medical source for your claim that Finasteride lose efficacy or patients building a tolerance for the drug with prolonged use. Because, from my understanding, it is not the drug that loses efficacy, it's simply that Finasteride does not block 100% of the DHT in your body (and we also know that testosterone, being an androgen, also causes hair loss). Over time, the residual DHT (and other androgens) present in the body still chip away at your the follicles causing them to miniaturize.
  11. Please ask your questions here: https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/forum/16-hair-restoration-questions-and-answers/ This sub is for transplant reviews
  12. Only your surgeon would be able to tell. Would depend on your head size, density requirements, hairline mid point height from the glabella, etc.
  13. As has been said, it depends on your head shape. Generally, the wider your head the more straight hairline you could pull off. Very few people naturally have flat hairlines. As you age, a more rounded / V shaped hairline is very often more suitable as it looks way more age appropriate and thus natural. A V shaped / more curved hairline is more graft economical.
  14. @mojones You have posted in the wrong section. Q&As should be posted here: https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/forum/16-hair-restoration-questions-and-answers/

  16. Hello @Nordster34, how are things progressing for you? Hope to see an update from you soon, eager to follow your progress to the end!
  17. Are you planning to stand behind a jet engine at full speed? Be careful out there.
  18. You are not quoting scientific research. I did look into the paper referenced on the Scandinavian Biolabs website. It's not a good study, and looking at the numbers for side effects of minoxidil it is not statistically significant. Note that Scandinavian Biolabs is a company trying to sell you hair regrowth shampoos. You do the math.
  19. This thread was moved simply because it doesn't belong in the "hair transplant reviews" section. "Hair transplant reviews" section is about showcasing hair transplant results. Not an experimental drug for hair follicle regeneration primarily at the donor site. Verteporfin is a drug that will (potentially) help regenerate hair in the donor site and/or the scalp in general. It is not a hair transplant, it is a drug used during a hair transplant. it doesn't have an impact on the transplant per se. That's why it was moved. I don't think it will have an impact on the profits generated by the hair transplant industry. It will only expand the profit pool.
  20. Close the FUE section and move the FUE section to be included in the "hair transplant review" section Moderate the "hair transplant review" section better. By this I mean removing all threads that are not reviews. For instance, why is the Verteporfin thread pinned in the review section? Move it to the "drugs" section A tag system so that authors and moderators can tag reviews in the reviews section. For instance, one can add a tag for the surgeon (not clinic, please, only surgeons), a tag for FUE or FUT, a tag for hairline or crown, and a tag for repair. Make the tags searchable. It would make it MUCH more simple to find correct content while searching A standardized way of naming threads in the review section, i.e., all relevant info first in a given order (perhaps the tags listed above)
  21. You need blood work to check your estradiol levels
