  1. Hello @Dr. Jerry Wong, if you are refering to the close up I posted of my 85 g/cm2 transplant, please see below for a few more photos. I'm sorry it's not full face photos since I want to remain anonymous. The surgery as performed by your collegaue, Dr. Victor Hasson end of June this year. I also met you very briefly in the lobby as well, and it was a pleasure meeting you. First photo is taken at 8 days post op, same day as the previous photo I posted in this thread. Top of my right hand side eyebrow and my nose can be seen in the corner of the photo. Second photo is taken 14 days post op, showing my left hand side hairline corner.
  2. Here you go, count them. Red area is exactly 1 sq cm of my scalp, that was completely bald before my transplant, i.e., no native hairs there. 85 grafts. My entire transplant is this dense. Photo is from 8 days post op when all scabs were off. As you can see, no visible 'rows'.
  3. Try oral first. it's more effective, and much more convenient and simple to take than topicals. If you get sides (hint: if you are very afraid of sides you will get it simply because of nocebo...) do continue taking Finasteride for another month as most sides are temporarily in the majority of cases. Side effect profile is low, regardless of what people in the Internet tell you. People don't post on forums when they don't have sides, they post on forums when they have sides. So the feedback on Finasteride is skewed towards people who experience side effects. Some questions you could ask yourself: Are you fit? Do you get enough sleep? Do you eat healthy? If yes to these quetsions it is extremely unlikely that you will experience side effects on oral finasteride. Most notable side effect is from an increase in estrogen, most often than not relating to being overweight. The increase in testosterone from Finasteride (about 15%) can increase your estrogen through aromatization - this happens more aggressively the more fat you carry on your body. Your point regarding "the snip" and not wanting to take fin before having the snip done: that goes against the medical litterature. It's shown that taking fin while conceiving does not pose a danger. The level of finasteride in your semen is too low to have any impact on the featus etc. WOmen and children, on the other han, should not come into contact with finasteride either in liquid/topical or crushed/split pill form.
  4. @stephcurry30 did you look at the .pdf I linked to? See how natural hairs grow in groups of row-like patterns. I could see this exact pattern when I shaved the back of my head for my procedure with Dr. Hasson. Below picture is from their .pdf which I linked to. I can't speak to how Dr. Wong implants. But Hasson implanted me at 85 FU per cm2, and I can assure you it does not look like rows the way you describe it. As an exercise, you could try marking out 1 sq cm on a piece of paper, grab a pen, and try filling in as many 'dots' as you can. You can fill much more 'dots' using a pattern similar to the above pictures vs. a complete 'random walk' pattern. Keep in mind there must be a certain minimum distance between incisions to make sure there is enought support around each graft and the incisions does not collapse on each other. If you want a density almost matching your native density, this is the way you should implant in my opinion. But they need to be staggared, of course, as is seen in the picture above. Note 1: all the cases you linked to are from Dr. Wong, and all those patients where implanted among existing hair, i.e., not a completely bald scalp. Note 2: JT talked about this implementation method/pattern in an extensive Reddit post some months back
  5. 2 main reasons: If you place among existing native (thinning) hair it's best because you get a better uniform result among existing hairs. This is important for diffuse thinners Mathematically, if you want to dense pack as much as possible, a row-like approach yields the highest density within a square centimeter. The rows are staggered. Keep in mind that a fresh implant (first few days) seems much more visually "harsh" than what it will look like once everything is healed due to the blood surrounding the grafts after placement. Hairs actually does not grow in a random pattern. They grow in groups of patterns. See this document otulining the lateral slit technique where this is discussed: https://hassonandwong.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/lateral_slit.pdf
  6. Hello @Nordster34 how is everything going with the refinement session you had done?
  7. Hairline looking fantastic! Out of curiosity, why do you want to go with Zarev for your next procedure, instead of staying with Hasson? Hasson did deliver a great outcome with your first round!
  8. Perfect work, an absolute home run! I got to meet this patient in-person during my pre-op consultation with Dr. Hasson the day before my procedure in late June this year. It is even more impressing when seeing it up close with your own eyes. It looks absolutely natural, and you cannot see any evidence of this being a transplant. Perhaps the best result I have ever seen.
  9. Isn't 15% approximately of grafts in the telogen phase, and will only grow once shed? I.e., no initial growth. It's normal that grafts don't "grow" before falling out. Doesn't mean that the graft failed.
  10. Everything looking normal. Read your after care instructions / leaflet from the clinic, it specifically states that the "separations" are completely normal. Next time, just ask your questions in your progress thread
  11. Do you know what density (grafts per cm2) Konior implanted at?
  12. I haven't made one yet. If you have questions during your recovery, feel free to message me - or ask them in your thread and tag me, and I'll answer
  13. I think the staff is great as well, I too had a wonderful experience end of June this year with Hasson. Approaching 7 weeks post op 2,500 grafts.
  14. A needle inserted into your gums at the dentist is 100x more painfull than the anesthetic they give you at a hair transplant. The nurses are super good. It's just mildly uncomfortable for 1 second the first few shots, then you feel nothing. You have absolutely nothing to worry about. I had my procedure with Hasson this June. A lovely experience, and painless
  15. I think it looks like it should. The hairs will soften as they mature. They need to pass through one growth/shedding cycle. It's normal that they are a bit fringy/curled etc. at first. Also, looking at your donor, the transplanted hair seem to have the same texture as the recipent site. Again, normal. I would be very surprised if Wong misaligned your grafts.
  16. Looking good! I don't think you would need Viagra and Cialis, thought. The placebo effect is real, but a placebo effect will not do anything for your hair. Minoxidil is surely enough. I was transplanted at 85 grafts per cm2, and my surgeon didn't mention these drugs at all, so I don't think its truly needed. But hey, at least you'll be on the safe side
  17. @oneman this just look like bleeding from your procedure. This is old blood underneath your skin from what I can see. I do not think this looks like an infection. You should be fine, is what I'd guess. No reason why you will have poor growth in those areas. Blood / bruising underneath your skin will take some time to clear.
  18. I have about 90-100 FUs natively, and was implanted at 85 FUs in my hairline. Singles first, then multis. The softness comes from the singles in the first few rows, that's the transition zone for a non-balding person.
  19. Interesting case to follow. Work looks good, clean! I think the donor looks OK, as one would expect for almost 11k grafts. But I can't say it looks untouched. Do you know what punch size was used?
  20. My personal opinion is that you should absolutely take oral antibiotics. Yes, the risk of infection is small, but if you do get an infection you can say goodbye to your results. If you opt for a transplant, why take the risk? The risk of getting in a car accident is also low, but I guess you still wear a seatbelt. Your gut bacteria will recover quickly enough. Take the antibiotics.
  21. An absolute homerun! @Kent Does it also look as dense and full in bright sunlight? Do you know what density Hasson implanted at? Very happy to see this result, I am envious of you!
