  1. Your experience on the day definitely doesn't sound great. But at least the work up front honestly looks great. It looks plenty dense with good graft angulation and nice small irregularities in the hairline. The crown definitely wasn't transplanted as dense, but it probably also wasn't necessary from your pre-op pics. You still had decent coverage there. Don't let their bad manners and subpar treatment of you as a patient make you think this won't turn out well. This will surely look great come spring.
  2. This looks like you achieved way better than the goal you had initially set out for. Even with meds helping a lot this is an amazing result considering the starting position and amount of grafts used!
  3. That donor sure doesn't look like it had 12,000 grafts taken out, despite the shock loss. Some amazing work there.
  4. I'll throw @Jamos1982 into the mix. Basically a full fix for a NW6 in one procedure. Pretty small graft count and still great density. And seemingly still going to improve on that.
  5. 2000-2500 grafts or so should do the job for you. It seems it's "only" hairline work, if a bit more extensive. If you want a procedure without shaving the recipient area I'd look into doctors that actually perform surgeries like that regularly. From what I've seen some of the Thai surgeons would fit that description without becoming totally expensive. Maybe contact and look into Dr. Laorwong at Absolute Hair Clinic and Dr. Patty at Hairtran Clinic. Both do great work and do a lot of procedure without shaving the top of your head.
  6. Why do none of these guys seem to do ANY research into the doctors they go with? Is this lady even a surgeon? Some of the things I heard didn't sound like great surgical practice (like keeping the grafts outside the body for >6 hours).
  7. For the money that charge for that minimal doctor involvement you could go to somewhere like FUEcapilar, which is almost certainly a safer bet.
  8. As far as I know yes, they work in the same clinic. From what I know both - at least as of a few months back - are charging the same 80baht per graft. It's on the higher end compared to other Thai clinics, but internationally that's an amazing deal considering both have been putting out absolutely amazing results.
  9. In the end you are the one who needs to be most comfortable with the surgeon choice. I'd recommend you simply look at patient posted cases by these doctors. At least Scott Alexander and H&W have some cases posted here, not sure about the other. How to you like how each designs the hairlines and how the results ultimately turn out? Hair transplants in part art, and there is a style that surgeons usually have, which you might like more or less. From memory they both did good work.
  10. I have yet to see bad work by Dr. Patty. Not always a total home run, but never bad. The general level of surgery among the Thai doctors seems to be quite high. I've seen 5 different clinics, and they all do solid to great work.
  11. While the way certain doctors and clinics hype up DHI is obviously nonsense, I have seen many cases of it that have made me feel that to heal a bit quicker than implantation by cutting slits.
  12. Yeah, this is clearly a patient sarcastically showing the terrible work and unethical practices by the clinic and the influencer.
  13. I imagine so, many of the journeys posted on here aren't by surgeons on the forums recommended list. The more good surgeons we are aware of the better.
  14. What other doctors are there? I imagine most people just don't know all the different doctors in that part of the world.
  15. I feel sorry for your experience here. You went to a surgeon that is recommended on here and you didn't cheap out, and you still got this subpar result. The density is really not good, considering how many grafts were used over a fairly small area. And the extraction pattern is also just bad given the small amount of grafts extracted. If the extractions had been taken from a bit higher up you would be able to rock your fade without any visible scarring. Taking so many grafts from the nape was just poor planning for this case. Hopefully you can find a good solution to all this.
  16. The hairline height depends on the rest of your face, so I won't give judgement on that. But the rest looks fantastic. I'm sure Dr. Laorwong could - if you decide to get further hairline work - also transplant some hair into the scar. That would allow you to get some tighter hairstyles in the future. Maybe this isn't an issue for you, but I'd recommend using the minoxidil in the evenings. That way your hair looks better throughout the day.
  17. That's the number I keep reading for Konior these days.
  18. There isn't a ton out there, but the stuff you can find is absolutely amazing. His work is the only I'd say that might rival Konior in how clean it is. Absolutely recommend. Especially considering he charges 5-6€ a graft instead of $35k flat.
  19. Hey Guys! I've been using a topical dutasteride mesotherapy sold through FUEclinic recently. I haven't had any side effects and it's seemingly upheld what finasteride kept me. It has however reminded me why I switched from topical to oral minoxidil. I absolutely hat topical application on the scalp. Maybe it's just my specific hair structure or my scalp skin, but it's a big mess that has me waiting for it to dry so I can get to bed for a good hour everytime. So I would like to switch to an oral version. I was thinking of going to something like 0.5mg of dutasteride 2-3x a week. I had no noticeably side effects from finasteride. I however also had no regrowth on finasteride+ dutasteride. So I'd like to see if the combo of oral minox + dutasteride could achieve that. *The problem*: it seems to be basically impossible to get doctors here in Germany to prescribe dutasteride for hairloss. Since the entire EU-single market would be fine, I'm wondering if there is somewhere else I could legally obtain it from? Thanks in advance!
  20. While it likely wasn't enough grafts for the area, it definitely looks like a lot of them didn't survive for dinner reason. I hope your are a late bloomer, but its definitely concerning.
  21. It's turned out fine, so no reason to berate you. I simply asked because these posts are more helpful when the name of the clinic/doctor is given.
  22. Get of your phone while driving! Hair looks great though 👍
  23. Everything looks great! But 3 days of surgery for 1700 grafts is crazy. I don't think I'd be ok with that.
