  1. If money is no object you know the doctors to go to already. Just choose the elite ones
  2. Bicer, Fuecapilar, Pekiner, Demirsoy, HLC are good options in Turkey. There’s also pure line clinic that recently had a patient posted result and it’s only one doctor operated. To me it looked good because it’s one doctor, the work looked clean but it’s so hard to tell, could just have been a shill post. If you’re going to a hairmill and don’t care then go to elithair which has a decent patient posted result here, clinicana a youtuber I watch got his hairs done there, he had two prior HTs and still clinicana didn’t overharvest so seems decent, at least you won’t have a bad donor. If you have Afro hair don’t think about cheating out, there are only few surgeons who can deal with Afro hair.
  3. I imagine doctors good with hairlines should be able to deal with female hairs well since softer hairlines are required for females. I have seen Bisinga, Pekiner do amazingly natural hairlines. And the only female patient result I have seen is from HLC Perhaps even Konior but he charges an arm and a leg ooof
  4. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28078868/ Wow. But your HT is successful, you’re on topical dutasteride, 15% topical with oral minoxidil seems excessive. Can’t have too much hair 😄
  5. Superior in what respect? Ease of use and compliance - sure Side effect profile? No, oral is absolutely worse than topical in this regard. Efficacy - Depends on individual case. Some people don’t have the enzyme in sufficient quantity on their scalp to convert to active minoxidil but even those people benefit from increased topical dosage up to 10-15% in some studies. As with most drugs, topical delivery form delivers max amount of drug safely compared to oral version. Topical minoxidil can deliver more dose to problem areas compared to oral especially if not diffuse thinner. Neither is superior to another and depends on individual needs. This is same as asking if topical finasteride is superior to oral, there’s no superiority of one delivery method to another, there are pro and cons to each that every individual might benefit from.
  6. I hear the name of this doctor a lot and he seems really bad. You got ripped off is alright, 2k grafts should’ve made a big difference somewhere but I can’t tell any difference 🤷‍♀️ How is your beard? Body hair is going to be crucial. The good news is your donor and hairloss isn’t that bad considering no finasteride use, you’re like a soft norwood 7. Throw the laser cap away 😂, it does nothing and just a waste of time and money.
  7. HLC is actually talked badly about here so not sure what you mean.
  8. Yeah it’s a hairmill now. Bigger hairmill than most hairmills, they have so many rooms. You don’t know who will operate on you and it’s a lottery.
  9. The clinic is terrible in other ways ( tech driven and taking many patients per day ) but this is absurd. Only American punches can extract hairs, Chinese punches are bad ? Lol You can’t even see what he’s extracting with such a bad camera quality, amazing that you can judge he’s overharvesting and gave you chills 😂😂😂
  10. How much did it cost you? It doesn’t seem like only 700 grafts were taken by first surgeon and 1600 only in second surgery. Your donor looks like 4k or so grafts were taken, maybe the first surgeon took more than he told you? It’s surprising that Dr Couto would go against your wishes, I guess I can understand his reasoning your crown looks bald than your hairline. But I am learning not even the elite doctors are infallible, those scalp grafts should have been used on hairline, you can use body hair in crown but not in hairline. With your donor as bad as it is, yeah you’re in a tough situation. You should go back to Couto and get the hairline done by him in a year. Bad placement but the hairs will grow and it’s not like Couto is bad. He just messed up the placement and realising how bad your donor is, now that situation is clear he can fix it
  11. It takes roughly 5.5 half lives for a drug concentrations to be so negligible it’s basically out of your system. So 4*5.5 = 22 hours. Pretty much in a day. This is for blood. I don’t know if the drug accumulates in tissues, if it does then it will take a few days but you won’t be able to considerably notice the effects.
  12. The picture I posted is from this clinic I am researching that I am unsure about just to make a point 😄 but I mean there are other recommended clinics that have shorter wait times and cheaper. Here are pre-op/post-op This is the clinic - I hope nobody takes my mentioning of them as my recommendation. https://youtube.com/channel/UCSd4hRmB1iaGRz9E8z4iq4g Well, it worked out great for you in the best way 👍 but you know that’s not going to be the case for everyone. When I think back of my 25, I was lucky to have my hairs then but if I was a NW6 then and by 30 was when I could get my hairs back, I would be devastated. It would have meant a degraded life, when I started losing my hair and when I turned NW6, I saw how different people treat you lol. I guess why you’re getting a HT also matters where sometimes you can wait a few years and for some other reasons it can’t wait.
  13. Actually the reason to be skeptical is the lack of results and the doctor provided results on their site/Facebook sometimes can be stolen from other clinics lol. Literally every clinic has pictures of celebrities HTs as if they did it. This is a problem with every clinic anywhere in the world. They lie about their results and only show the top ones. This is where this forum is the best, patient posted results show the real picture. The clinic I mentioned has a huge YT channel and has a plethora of patient results. It gives them credibility but again it’s so hard to tell without patient posted results from post op to 8 months. This is their channel
  14. That’s true but you don’t have to compare with hairmills, of course waiting for top doctors wins in this case. My point is there are decent clinics that don’t have long wait times and at the end of the day the results aren’t that different. If say Konior is available in a few months, waiting and going with him makes sense but if he makes you wait a year or more, nah. I would look into other decent clinics. For example here is a recent Konior result and this is from a cheap clinic, you would laugh if I tell you what it cost - this is from a decent clinic that consistently pumps out results like this 25 to 30 is crazy man, 25 was my prime, 30 is the start of middle age crisis, it’s like being a completely different person. Maybe your loss wasn’t that bad but if someone loss was terrible, waiting on Konior like that, he would miss out on the best years of his life, lose out on relationships. And at the end of the day for what? Can you seriously tell me there’s a difference between Konior and this extremely cheap clinic result?. At the end of the day it’s moving hairs not rocket science. Sure you can justify elite doctors prices by comparing with horrible botch jobs but nah why go that extreme? Compare with good clinics. And funny enough there are bad results from these top doctors as well, that stings even harder. Wait years, spend a fortune and get a worst than hairmill result. In my opinion the only time waiting such long periods makes sense is if you’re a repair case or a high Norwood lost case that needs special work.
  15. Everyone reacts differently. Topical gave me chest tightness for a couple hours after applying it ( I used it once a day), I don’t want to freak you out but this is a known side effect of minoxidil where it increases the resting heart rate by a few points. You should monitor your heart rate, perhaps get the heart rate monitoring machine and take readings when you’re completely chill, when it’s about time to take the drug ( ie during trough concentration time of the drug when the drug is lowest level in blood ) and 2 hours after taking the drug. It should be OK to see min increase or decrease the heart rate immediately after dosing but the sustained increase or decrease is going to be an issue. Talk to a doctor perhaps. I would value heart over hairs, if you get troublesome reading consistently, maybe you’re like me and can’t tolerate it.
  16. In Pakistan, Dr Habib actually looks legit and has a lot of patient results available. But I don’t know if it’s worth taking the risk so better to go to this forum recommended doctors. Facebook is an extremely low quality place to judge the result of patients and the quality of doctor. The best way to judge a doctor is like this forum where patients themselves post their results, very hard to manipulate results like this.
  17. Man, that’s ages into the future. By 2025 is when you will see results. If you can wait that long, you can wait your whole life and not get any HT 🤷‍♀️ In my opinion, the top doctors are way overrated as if they’re the only ones who can move hairs. I have seen results from a cheap 417$ clinic that are indistinguishable from a 30,000$ clinic. The only difference really is you get a sort of guarantee you will get a good result with top doctors and at worst at least not need repairs with bad growth but waiting 3 years for them….that’s crazy. I guess if you need repairs or are a high Norwood lost case then it makes sense.
  18. I tried saw palmetto before finasteride because I was afraid of PFS. Horrible horrible thing ever, it was like my body completely shut down. My eyes felt dry and bad. I don’t know how I even took it for a few days, it did nothing for my hairloss but made me be in extreme pain. Fin was much better. Saw palmetto blocks both type of enzymes so perhaps that’s why it’s worse but it doesn’t even work for hairloss. I don’t know anyone who takes saw palmetto alone and has stopped hairloss from progressing but the name gets thrown around. I am not a Guinea pig that would try experimentals on myself so never touched that stuff
  19. Topical dutasteride which barely gets into bloodstream is probably your best bet. Or maybe microdosing fin. Or just keep getting hair transplants. Nowadays body hair can be used as well so that’s an option if you run out of scalp hair
  20. Found this interesting article 😂 https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/5-reasons-why-being-bald-great-your-career-kyle-turk 5 Reasons Why Being Bald Is Great For Your Career. Kyle Turk, CM Kyle Turk, CM VP of Marketing at Altis Recruitment &… Published Feb 22, 2016 + Follow This may seem like a bold statement but studies have shown that bald men are seen as having better leadership potential, are more assertive and considered to be more powerful than other men. Here are 5 reasons why being bald will help you with your career. 1. Experienced look When I first began my career as a young entrepreneur the biggest difference after I started going bald and shaved my head was that people took me noticeably more serious. Others thought that I was older than I was which gave the impression of experience and expertise. This opened more doors and I was able to make the necessary connections with influential business people in the community. 2. Networking is easier It is easier to talk to others when there is a connection between you. Bald people know they have to stick together. When you see another bald man at a networking event you instantly have solidarity making it an easy approach. Throwing in a bald joke or two can also make for a great icebreaker. 3. Consistent professional appearance This point applies to particularly cold or windy days. I simply step outside and I am worry free. If you have hair, this is not the case. We’ve all been to events or meetings where somebody’s hair looks awful and obviously out of place. When your hair is messy you don’t look well put together. This results in people thinking that you are unprofessional or untrustworthy. 4. It's already gone This point is quite simple. If your hair is already gone you won’t lose it during long stressful days at the office. According to leading psychologists, the fear of going bald is one of the worst fears men have. This could alter your ability to focus or perform in the office. 5. Time savings We’ve all heard the expression “time is money”. Being bald has saved me time every morning - shampooing, conditioning and styling my hair. This means I can arrive at the office 30 minutes earlier resulting in extra time and being more productive at the office.
  21. This is quite an outrageous claim to undermine the credibility of Kevin by someone who has been caught shilling for a clinic 😂 This might be surprising to you but there are many people like him whose lives have been ruined by finasteride fearmongerers who lost their hairs because they believed the fearmongerers. Kevin explains why he started, to help people like him battle hairloss and cut through the fearmongering. I started fin because of Kevin’s videos and it was the best decision I took, I take a generic brand that one bottle lasts me a year. If Merck want someone on their payroll, they would choose popular YouTubers than poor Kevin 😂 He barely gets any views, man even Rob English chose a better YT channel to promote his stuff, you must think very low of Merck if you think they will pay Kevin. Rest of your post I have no intention to argue, this has been discussed to death. Just to show how ridiculous your claim is and the ridiculous conspiracy theorist you sound like, let me present my theories - we both have no way to prove it so hurts nothing. **conspiracy** I think you talk bad of finasteride to promote topical dut which the clinic you work for sells, I think the foundation was created by hair transplant surgeons to fearmonger people from taking finasteride and get more hair transplants **conspiracy** The funny thing is my ridiculous claims sound more believable than claiming MERCK pays Kevin.
  22. If you’re worried strong wind will come and fly away with your hairs, rest assured there’s no danger of that. The answer to this is the sooner you feel comfortable. Some people don’t care walking around with a bloody head/bandages on their head and they leave soon after post op, others stay for a week or more. The hairs are pushed in deep into the skin so the only way they come off is by washing or touching. Wind/walking around poses no danger.
  23. That’s brutal, at 23. We have the same type of hairloss with the hairline intact but mine happened after 30 not so young. Look at this forum’s recommended list and choose a surgeon that’s closer to you and cheaper. Age is irrelevant in your case, what are you going to progress to? NW100? No, you’re NW6 and you will progress to a mild NW7 so get a HT asap to enjoy your 20s. The advice of young patients shouldn’t get HT only applies to NW1/NW2s who barely have any template hairs loss and it’s unknown whether they will progress to full NW7 or stay the same as they age. You unfortunately don’t have that problem. Your hairline will slowly go away too so stay on finasteride to protect it.
  24. Can you please post pictures of your donor area ? Not the sides of the head but back donor area. Just want to see what overharvested donor looks like. Thanks
