  1. Apparently it can increase bleeding 🩸 I’ll probably stop drinking a day or two before surgery just in case. Love my coffeee though so gonna be a real struggle
  2. Title sums it up really. Anyone who loves their coffee knows it’s a bit of a morning ritual, so I’m wondering what the general consensus is here. How many days before surgery should you stop drinking it?
  3. Oh the stocking cap and spf mist spray are both really good ideas, thanks mate
  4. Hey all, I have a few questions regarding hats and FUE. Obviously avoiding sun exposure is really important, so just want to make sure I have an array of appropriate hats to wear for months after my surgery. What types of hat should I be wearing post op? What types of hat should I avoid post op? I don’t want to wear anything that might irritate the grafts or scalp. Thanks guys.
  5. Hey all, there are so many options for airplane pillows out there, just wondering if there are any that you’d recommend for sleeping post-FUE? I’m in the process of getting all the things I need, so any help is appreciated! Thanks.
  6. Thanks Melvin, watched it. Is sleeping upright equally safe? (e.g. 90 degrees on a sofa with airplane pillow).
  7. Thanks for your reply. I’m wondering if sleeping upright is fine though if I decided to do this instead of laying down. e.g. sleeping upright on a sofa (with an airplane pillow).
  8. Might seem like a bit of a silly question, but is it fine to sleep at a 90 degree angle whilst recovering from an FUE procedure? (For example, sleeping upright on a sofa with a neck pillow behind you). Could this hinder the final result / increase swelling etc? Or is the only danger just getting a bit of a sore back? Or is it essential to sleep laying down at a 45 degree angle but being propped up with pillows? thanks
  9. Yeah I dont think my hair loss has progressed since being on fin so assuming it’s working. I feel like a lot of people place emphasis on ‘stacking’ treatments so I was wondering if it’s needed in order to get a good HT result.. but if finasteride + a really good doctor is enough then I’m happy with that route.
  10. Yeah I won’t be using rogaine, I'm considering oral minoxidil but just unsure as to whether it’ll have much of an impact on my future HT result. I’ve read a few posts on here where the dr has got the patient on oral minoxidil post-transplant but just not really sure if it’s a necessity..
  11. Key ingredients (serum): LOTUS MINERAL COMPLEX, PFAFFIA EXTRACT,LEMON ESSENTIAL OIL, ATP INTENSIF, B3, B5, B6, AMINO ACIDS Full ingredients list (serum): WATER (AQUA), ALCOHOL (ALCOHOL DENAT), C9-12 ALKANE, GLYCERIN, COCO-CAPRYLATE/CAPRATE, BHT, CITRAL, CITRUS AURANTIUM DULCIS (ORANGE) OIL (CITRUS AURANTIUM DULCIS OIL), CUCURBITA PEPO (PUMPKIN) SEED OIL (CUCURBITA PEPO SEED OIL), CYCLODEXTRIN, DISODIUM ADENOSINE TRIPHOSPHATE, GREEN 3 (CI 42053), HESPERIDIN METHYL CHALCONE, LACTOSE, LAVANDULA ANGUSTIFOLIA (LAVENDER) OIL (LAVANDULA ANGUSTIFOLIA OIL), LAVANDULA HYBRIDA OIL, LIMONENE, LINALOOL, NASTURTIUM OFFICINALE EXTRACT, NIACINAMIDE, PFAFFIA PANICULATA ROOT EXTRACT, PYRIDOXINE HCL, SILICA, SODIUM COCOYL GLUTAMATE, SORBIC ACID, STEARYL GLYCYRRHETINATE, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, TROPAEOLUM MAJUS EXTRACT, YELLOW 11 (CI 47000), YELLOW 5 (CI 19140)
  12. I need a bit of advice guys. I’m taking oral fin currently (been on it for 1 year): no sides, its halted further loss and has thickened up some existing hairs that were miniaturising. My next step is to get a HT to fill in the bald/thinning areas. My dilemma is that I’m wondering if a stimulant (e.g. minoxidil) is necessary to get a successful HT result? Or should the halted loss from fin + transplant be enough to achieve (and maintain) a full head of hair. I’m considering oral minoxidil, but I’m just unsure if it’s a necessity considering Fin seems to be working well. Any advice / input is appreciated!
  13. I was recently told that ‘Triphasic’ (comes as a shampoo or serum) can work as an effective hair stimulant, and works similarly to topical minoxidil without the possible side effects. Has anyone used it before / know if it’s any good? thanks.
  14. I keep the hair on top of my head long, but the sides and back I usually have a skin fade (so pretty much bald). How long does the donor area have to be for FUE? I was considering growing the sides/back out for a month prior to surgery but not sure if I should let it grow for an even longer period of time. thanks!
  15. I need to put a list of items together that are absolute ‘must haves’ for post-fue surgery. I’ll be abroad and may end up staying in a hotel or air bnb for at least a week. I need to make sure I’m fully prepared. Would appreciate input! So far I have: - neck pillow - button up shirts - slippers -
