This is true ko but the vast majority as far as I am aware cannot. This along with the overheads and drs self worth are keeping the US prices high. Its fact that instead of people going to the US they are coming from the US to Europe and Turkey. What's the number one difference? IMO and just look how many fut surgery's are carried out in Turkey very few.I think fut is just about dead in Turkey. The vast majority of people IMO nowadays are going with fue. The ishrs statistics said that about 65% of US Drs persuaded the patients who came in looking for fue were talked into fut I think we can read something into this. Without fully utilising techs in the US its at a big disadvantage and hopefully this will change and to the benefit of the US patients. I think dr vories is a up and coming force within the US ht industry due to his technique and his prices I think he has it right to entice people to stay within the states for fue ht and I would suggest others should follow suit. I agree scar and I think the moves dr Karadeniz high lighted were the ishrs members voted that members had to sign up to extractions having to be carried out by drs just shows how desperate they are becoming. As if the most successful fue drs that can utilise techs are going to revert back to their old ways to retain membership of a society that is obviously self serving of the US ht industry. When utilising techs in full as they do in turkey and europe more people are treated in a day and standards such as those produced by Erdogan and Lorenzo have IMO stayed top notch which is in my book a great thing for sufferers, not so great for the US ht industry and it knows it. Dr Karadeniz said himself that he will utilise techs even though he has been belittling techs since he arrived here due to his high opinion of his skills but he realises you have to move with the times or sink. Its dire straits for the US ht industry and it knows it. I think any of us who have been about long enough have seen this coming in gradually but IMO it has escalated due to the financial climate over the last 6-7 years and people realising they have alternatives to paying the ridiculous prices which US drs have been charging. The US used to have a monopoly on the ht industry and more and more sufferers are saying NO MORE. Have a good day

Hello vern777. I would go with Erdoğan over bhatti but thats just my preference . One thing I must admit about Erdoğan is the graft numbers a lot of the time seem excessively high when compared to other estimates which is evident again here. Future loss in younger patients should be one of the most important considerations when planning,hair line position,density, and graft numbers used and donor availability in any ht should revolve around the possibility of future loss. Any planning that does not incorporate each of these considerations is asking for problems. Have a good day

I am not well traveled at all but have just come back from Turkey and am 10 days post op. I was not worried about the procedure as I had done my research but the traveling was a different story. Uk and US citizens are the most prized of targets for radicals but I knew I would not be venturing out and about so was never gonna be a visible target. I feel if someone with such insecurities about traveling such as myself could do it I would suggest just about anyone could. There were at least 7 other ht patients on my flight so when you consider how many flights there are to Turkey even just from the uk the numbers of people going there is huge and growing all the time. I presume its the same with US citizens and just by the number of patients on these boards going from the US to Turkey or into europe its obvious its a risk they feel is worthwhile for the cost saving and skill set they have in these countries. It used to be patients going from europe to the US for ht now the opposite is becoming more and more commonplace. I say way it up and go for it if your comfortable with it all and the airport security is no big deal either. Have a good day

In regard to artas within the US could technicians do extractions using it ? If the answer is yes I presume the US would be the biggest market and reason it was thought up in the place was because of the law regarding techs. Pity it turned out to be so poor. Have a good day.

To be honest pup I did not trawl through the website so I have not seen it but I would presume its a translation issue because its definitely incisions with custom cut blades.I wonder if it means the extractions are done with motorised punch! I will mention to him the next time he emails checking on how I'm doing. If it is on there its not a very good advertisement. Have a good evening

Hello Wylie. In Turkey in a lot of places yes they do both extractions and incisions and have been doing it for years and in europe a awful lot of techs are charged with the graft extractions. Have a good day.

Nice thread seeker. We see it all to often were younger sufferers lose a bit in the hairline and jump straight into a ht to reverse this pattern. Or if say their a norwood 3-4 then get a 4000 - 5000 fue with little understanding of what is going to happen in future years. Its one of my biggest concerns regarding younger patients that they don't plan for the future when deciding to go with the low hairlines. IMO the price of fue in the states has to drop because IMO the demand for fue is slowly killing off fut and europe and especially turkey have perfected fue over the last 10 years This has left the states dead in the water floundering about because of its own laws that technicians cannot be fully utilised as they are in europe and Turkey. And this nonsense that techs can't do this and can't do that is ridiculous as is clear with Erdogan and Lorenzo to name a couple that have been utilising techs for years and their results are still top of the tree. I dont know if the states is ever going to catch up with europe and turkey and at the moment the way is drop prices dramatically otherwise people are going to drive by the US clinics on their way to the airport. Could not agree more but i think the times they are a changin it will just take time and lots of good results to be posted. I wanted a ht for going on two decades but i refused to pay the extreme prices for which is essentially a day or twos work. About ten years ago i built a brick garage, a 35 feet x 12 feet extension and block paved my driveway for 16K doing all the work apart from plumbing and electrics myself or should i have tried to cover my norwood 6 ? for the same or even more cost. I am now one week out from a 4300 fue that cost 1900 euros all in now at this price i can live with a clear conscious that my loved ones did not have to go without because of my vanity and someones else's greed because that's what it is greed. My top would have to hasson & Wong. No one has come close to the size of mega sessions that they've been doing for over a decade and their scars are also top of the game to boot. All drs mentioned so far apart from dr kapil dua are all very good but from a higher norwood situation h&w all the way. Have a good day

I don't need to ask how your doing betterlate as your obviously doing good. As usual very imformative writing well written and enlightening thank you. I had come to terms with my hair loss by analysis of were it stood in my life's prioritys and to be frank it was way down the list. This is why I feel so relaxed about post op and the results or lack of. I'm just happy I got a shot at tackling it as many don't for one reason or another Look forward to your next post as there always a good read.
