  1. How long after the ht did you start the foam? Its just used more as a kick start for growth and maybe thats why you exploded in pimples as they are also a sign of hair breaking out. I am going back on the foam when I reach a month post op if I feel the recipient area is fully healed and capable of tolerating it without irritation. Have a good weekend.
  2. Long way to go hh and its said the crown is slow to grow. What minoxidil do you use? I used to use liquid and the itch drove me crazy then I switched to Kirkland brand foam and no more itch. Have a good evening.
  3. Sorry Sean just seen this. Currently dr Karadeniz has techs doing graft placement but he admitted in another thread that if needs be he would have techs doing extractions even though he thought it not in the best interests of the patients. The way I look at it he is either willing to compromise his morals for money and offer a inferior result for the patients or he thinks he is that good that no tech can match his skill set at extractions which I think laughable. Since he came to the forum he has attacked tech clinicss or belittled techs doing extractions but then admits he would do the same. Hypocrisy in my mind. How long he will keep going with his current model I dont know I suppose he will change when the sums dont add up. Have a good day
  4. Yeh its looking a fair bit thinner on top but it will probably all start growing in at a similar time as the transplanted hair. Thanks for making the effort to update us with photos. You'll be fine its just a test of patience waiting for growth now. Good luck to you. Have a good evening.
  5. Sorry Sean but when you say his clinic who are you reffering to? My procedure was done in its entirety by techs under supervision of the dr at times but although you wish to know the name of my dr the powers that be on this forum deem it fit to keep this knowledge secret by censorship. Fewer and fewer of the leading clinics are having drs doing extractions and the same goes for manual fue extractions giving way to motorised. Have results suffered I don't think so and this is nothing new its been happening for years and the fact you've not noticed any difference in the results shows its working well. If you could please clarify what exactly you mean Sean and I will try to reply. You have a good evening.
  6. Sorry Roscoe I have not got a clue so cannot help. Have a good day
  7. Thats correct ko but as Lorenzo has always been held in such high esteem and rightly so if he thinks that he can hand off the extractions to a tech I read into a great deal. Some people including Blake and dr Karadeniz to name just two that are adamant that a dr can do extractions better than a tech and I would argue the opposite based on the persons experience for one. It would be very interesting to pose the question to Lorenzo or Erdoğan why they use technicians as much as they do and whether they think the results have differed. If they say results have not differed then this would lead me to the conclusion they think the tech is as capable as they at extractions. Jimbo one of Lorenzos patients thought the tech in his second op was actually quicker that Lorenzo who is known for his speed. Lorenzo technique with the pen is less labour intensive for him also rather than cutting the recipient incisions and then manually placing grafts is far more work than having techs load the pens. In the end it all leads to top results and his crown work is off the scale. Its a team effort and I trust the top clinics that their protocol is the best for the patients and if the results had dropped off they would have been pounced on here but they've not. You have a good day
  8. Good to hear your good obviously apart from the shock loss. Have you any photos you could share.? I don't think Dr Karadeniz has advertised himself very well with your case thats for sure and what you have just said high lights this further still. I suppose we could make allowances for some parts of what you've stated because his practice is in its infancy but some aspects are shockingly poor. But as you say its the results that matter and with this I wish you all the best. My jaunt over to Turkey went as smooth as smooth could be apart from the journey out. I have a neck and back problems that gives me really bad headaches which in turn makes me feel really sick so I did not sleep the night before the ht and the last meal I had was on the plane until half way through the ht. Once I had taken the painkillers before the op it took about half a hour and I felt fine. A part from that everything was perfect a faultless service from being picked up at the airport to being dropped off back at the airport. My thread with pics is in the fue section if you want a gander? I'm 14 days post op tomorrow and will be posting fresh photos, a little tender in donor and numb in recipient but all in all I'm good. Would really like to see photos of yours to see the extent of the shock loss as far as I am aware I have zero and I hope it stays that way. Has most of the transplanted hair shed or have you just lost what came away with the scabs. Will be interesting to compare results yours from a recommended doc and mine from a dr who's name and clinic I cannot reffer to. Yours who gave you a shoddy service and mine who's was flawless. Results though thats all that matters now and I'm sure you feel the same you just want the hair the rest will just be a distant memory and so hopefully will your hairloss problems. Pics if you would be so kind ? Here's to outstanding growth for the both of us. You have a nice day
  9. If they don't reply to emails or questions within the emails look elsewhere I would suggest. Have a good day.
  10. Blake. So are you saying employing the buisness model employed by Erdoğan or Lorenzo is less ethical than their US counterparts? Because this sounds basically what you are saying blake. That Lorenzo and Erdoğan are in it for the money. This may well be the case but at the end of the day they are giving some of the best results going. I think most people applying a little common sense would say most ht drs are primarily concerned with profit. Its the profit margin I don't agree with. I have seen with my own eyes what working on a smaller profit margin can do for both customers and the buisness and it was good for both. Allowing a small profit margin increases numbers of customers coming through the door and overall the companies profits increased and more importantly the consumer is happier having paid less. 65% of US Drs admitted they talked a fue customer into fut now were else would this happen? You go to buy a BMW does the rep just sell you the car thankful of the sale and knowing you have bought a very good car or does he try and sell you a car that you were not interested in when you were browsing the forecourt? Even if the US employed the techs to do extractions they are 10 years behind the techs in europe and turkey in speed, skill, efficiency, knowledge they've been doing it day in day out for so long their skill set is unparreled even by drs. If a tech has been doing extractions on multiple patients a day ( say 2 a day) doing on average 3000 grafts thats 30.000 over 5 days, over 50 weeks is 1.5 million and over 10 years thats fifteen million. And those figures are probably very conservative. Do you think there is a dr in the US that has extracted anything close to these figures with fue? The buisness model is so successful because of the skill gained by their years of experience of the whole team that provide the results that people see then thats were they go. The US is playing catch up big time and with the head start I don't know whether it will ever be able to catch up. Have a good day
  11. Any updates for us Roscoe now your past the 1 month mark? How's it all going? I hope everything is going as it should! Have a nice day
  12. Hello Milanello. This is no were near the time frame to be judging this as a final result. You need to wait till the 12 month mark at least but by months 9-10-11 you will have a better idea of what to expect. Its just to early at the moment I've seen this countless times often people say one of the hardest parts of ht is the waiting. Another 3 months and we will all be able to judge better your potential result. Good luck to you and have a nice day
  13. If the results were very similar people would IMO go with the cheaper 2 dollar per graft why would they pay twice as much for the same results? Its all about results for the sufferers and if the results can be obtained for less thats were people with and are going. I always believed artas and such devices were aimed primarily at the US due to laws surrounding techs doing extractions and this was a window of oppotunity that the manufacturer's saw to take advantage of. The technique, The size of the procedures offered,And the cost is what's enticing people to places other than the US and the US ht industry needs to recognise these factors if it is to compete. And I think dr vories is making the right moves to address this and hopefully others will follow for the sake of sufferers. Have a good day
  14. It would be interesting to know how accurate this grip is on the grafts shown meaning are they generally held at those points or higher up were grip pressure is less likely to cause critical damage?. How high can they be held to still facilitate implantation?
  15. Personal choice all round,Fut, Fue,Country, Clinic,Dr involvement ect ect. And your probably right with the calm coming about in the middle east before fut v fue gets settled. Have a good day.
  16. I think Pete said their fue is very good now after Lorenzos stint there so yes thats a good option o start with.
  17. Never heard of him not that this is any indication as to his capabilities. What proportion of the work is done by the dr? Is he a grey long haired dude? If he is I believe he offers other procedures apart from ht but again this should not be a deal breaker. Have you seen plenty of his results or talked with any of his previous patients? Have a nice day
  18. Hello Sam. You need to research this topic exhaustively before committing to anything otherwise your woes will or rather could be multiplied. Theres reddy in London but he's rather expensive other than that your looking at europe or Turkey or further afield still. Research research research. Have a good day
  19. Do you know the name of the dr-drs they use? Have a good day
  20. Very interesting you sound as though your a bit of a convert dr vories! In regard to the implanter pens why do you feel they offer a advantage? They still need to be handled to be loaded so were in lies a advantage? My dr said they tried various inplanter pens years ago and watched the results through to 12-18 months and saw no advantage so carried on with hand placement. Have a good day
  21. Rather than go off on one try reading what I asked. I do not know whether you are going fut or fue I asked. You don't agree with what I and many others advocate fair enough you don't have to but just because you dont agree with a apposing veiw does not mean its dodo. Were ever you go the best of luck to you be it fut or fue. Have a good day
  22. Are you going to go for fut ko? If not why not? Are you going to travel abroad for fue why are you? These are the points being debated not which is better yielding. Have a nice day
  23. Blake i think you and other US ht drs are blinkered in your view of what is actually happening to your own industry in the US. Two of the top 5 fue surgeons on the planet imo have moved to more tech involvement[ lorenzo and erdogan]to name but two with continued great results. Your point huge numbers of grafts being transferred are you saying erdogans results are poor yielding and the results are just because of the high numbers? My clinic was being proposed for recommendation and bill himself said the results were very good but it all went pear shaped for reasons we can only guess at and now the clinics name isn't even allowed to be referenced and with no explanation other than it was to calm a forum that had already calmed weeks before the ban. There are patients going from the US and if you can compose a long winded rant then i'm sure you can find the time to look for yourself but as i've said earlier in this thread its more that the patients are flocking to Turkey and Europe rather than going to the US. Why are they doing it apart from the price its the skill level when it comes to fue and the size of the op's Who would go from the US to have a 2000 graft procedure in Europe or turkey when they are a norwood 5-6-7 taking time off work and all the hassle that goes into traveling? Now who would go to Europe or Turkey from the US being a norwood 5-6-7 and have a 4000-5000+ procedure done in one or two days and so combating more of their problem in one journey? Same can be said for the reverse how many norwood 5-6-7 people are going to go to the US to try and be talked into fut rather than fue and if they stick with fue what they going to get for for the $12.000-$14.000 you quoted 3000ish grafts that on a norwood 5-6-7 is just not going to address their problem adequately. For that money you can go to erdogan and get 5000 grafts at the hands of mainly techs were the dr spends less time with the patients than mine did me and the chances are the patient is going to be very very happy with the results. Fut will be around for ever but mainly in the US were it gets pushed at people for whatever reason and as long as people arent prepared to travel they will always have people coming through the door. I mean just look at the lengths your colleague David who has just been to for his resent fue with Dr bhatti if the skill level and price was available in the US why did he go to India? If you did a poll now on this forum what do you think the result would be if asked to vote on which procedure members would choose all things considered ? Fut or Fue ? It might be closer than i think but i would be surprised if fut came out on top. You give the customer what they want at the best prices and at the moment it appears that this is fue in europe or turkey or india or elsewhere and less and less the US. Are you seriously trying to tell us that to meet our needs it should be fut in the US with physians doing the majority of the work for a higher price rather than our preferred technique were results are proven outstanding and at considerably less cost? Why is erdogan, donagay and not long ago lorenzo held in such high esteem thats correct its the results they produce pure and simply and that's all any of us are after and to me it does not matter and bill said the same himself whose hands are on the tools is secondary. Most people would concede that fut gives healthier grafts and therefore yield but all the downsides of fut outweigh the positives and this is why people are choosing fue and i think its that simple. Blake your promise of your and other moderators support on my thread.shows just how biased and at times self serving and non patient orientated this forum can be. We should all be here for one another discussing any and everything that could ease the suffering of others and censorship usually just serves the people who implement it not the masses. Hopefully my results will show yet again that the model you condemn so vigorously is a option for those not afraid to veer off the long trodden route to the US for hair restoration. You have a good day
  24. Do you never se e the news Blake? Istanbul is called the gate way to europe and I know most of the 800 or so people that left the uk to go and fight for Isis went via Istanbul. Whether there is a major threat to westerners in Turkey at the current time I believe not but I would go anywhere near the border thats for sure. I felt perfectly safe whilst there but I was there for one reason so did not go out much at all. I suppose terrorist attacks around the world could have a overall bearing on whether US citizens travel abroad for ht.. Have a good day
