Why interesting? I have attached some photos of the top of my scalp approximately 2 months before the transplant. The blue circle shows a little thinning. Maybe I will treat this with Minoxidil or I will do a second transplant if the hair loss will not be stable.

interesting because they usually have two doctors work on you. One for extractions and another for implanting. Since they do manual extractions it’s takes a toll on a persons hand after awhile. So I’m surprised they had it done by one person… where there a lot of people when you were there? I would see no reason for them to not want to split some of the work to not exhaust themselves. But then again I’m sure elif is capable of doing it herself. Just curious as to their approach on this particular case.

Hello Everyone, I'd like to share my experience with Dr Resul Yaman.

First I have been an observer here for a while and I've learned much valuable information here so thank you to everyone who takes and took the time to review and post helpful information that we all can benefit from. I have followed many of your stories/experiences and found them very helpful in my personal journey and I hope this may help others as you all have helped me.

I started going bald when I was about the age of 22 and it's always had an inner impact on my life, outwardly no one could tell but inwardly I was never happy about the way I looked. I spent some time many years ago seeing my options here in Canada but was way out of my budget and i kinda let it go for many years not believing anything could be done for me. A few years ago I revisited the idea of doing a HT and I chose a clinic out of Turkey that i later realized ( with the help of this community ) was a "Hair mill" so Im kinda glad the covid shut down happened which enabled me from getting the work done a few years back and it gave me the time to research more and find this community.

After considerable consideration, reviews and a few other different factors I narrowed my procedure down to 3. Dr Bicer, Dr Turan and Dr Yaman. My response from Dr Bicer's was none at first but a response came once I had already booked which stated to wait several months and grow my hair longer and resubmit pics. Dr Turan's clinic was relatively quick and was on par with Dr Yamas's clinic but I just felt more comfortable with Dr Yaman due to the time, care and support they showed me, not turning away any question but answered them thoroughly. I dealt primarily with Dr Yaman's director Doga who really is a great guy to deal with, I personally had a great experience with him as a genuine individual.

So I booked my HT with Dr Yaman's clinic for sept 13 & 14. I arrived on the 12th and was met buy there driver who took me to the hotel, I got settled and was picked up from the hotel at 8;30 in the morning, and brought to the clinic, did blood work and met with Dr Yaman. The doctor checked out my donor area, took time to explain the process, Drew the hairline that we agreed upon, a little more recession for a more concentration on top and crown.

Then they used a 3D tool that counted my grafts in the donor area which was quite interesting.  we went through thickness of hair and talked about coverage with the beard,  the doctor was confident that i'd have  good coverage on front, middle and crown. He concentrated on the front, middle the first day and the second day would be the crown. The doctor also determined that they would do all the extractions by hand with no motor tool being used at all.

Day 1..... we began about 10 am and the doctor himself did the freezing, and I did find it at times painful, but as Doga puts it " no pain no gain ". Then the head of his team who has been with him for 10 years did the removal with the Doctor coming in at least 3 times every hour to see everything, he only books a max of 2 people per day but this day i was booked alone for most of that day. after about 6 hours or so the extractions were done and the Doctor came in to do the opening of the channels himself then the implantation was carried out by his lead team with again Dr Yaman continually coming in to check quite often and him reassuring me what was going on and how happy he was about the way it was all coming together. I also was put on oxygen during both procedures, Day 1 & 2.

Day 2 pretty much was carried out the same way, same people etc, The freezing was a little worse in my opinion im assuming due to the freezing from day one and the bruising that was left due to the pokes from the day before. Once the head was finished we moved on to the beard area which was carried out by the same people again and once done we took a break, had lunch and then I went back and the doctor came in again to open the channels as before in the crown area. once finished around 7 or 8 pm was bandaged up and we talked for a bit and was brought back to the hotel.

The next day I went back to the clinic for Ozone Therapy, again Dr Yaman came to check out everything and he was extremely pleased how it looked, The following day i again went for another session of Ozone therapy saw the doctor and again was reassured everything looked fantastic. Then on the final day I was brought back for the first washing and was taught how to continue the washing process at home. So everyday i spent time in the clinic, and during this time i got to meet some great people and especially the staff.

To conclude I can say that i am well pleased the way everything was handled, the way they explain everything, the care taken from beginning to end, Dr Yaman is a straight up guy and a pleasure to deal with as well as his director Doga, just great all around guys to deal with.

I'm sure there is so much more i left out but overall i feel happy especially on the inside when i look in the mirror, I do hope everything turns out and looks good once a few month's roll around and the growing begins.... now the waiting game!!

i will keep updating to show progress.

I apologize for the lengthy post and I thank you kindly looking and for allowing me to share my experience. Please let me know what you think, Thanks again!!

    Hey guys,

First of all, I just want to say THANKS THANKS THANKS!!!

This happiness I feel inside nowadays could not be possible without your HELP! Thanks to Forums like this, thanks to you guys sharing your experiences and knowledge about hair transplants, treatments, and all this hair world, all of YOU even if you do not know it, you lead me to Dr Couto... and man, what a discovery to CHANGE my whole life.

At the end of 2021, my life was a mess... I was done psychologically. There would be many days and weeks that I would just want to stay home by myself,  I did not feel like seeing or meeting people, and I did not want to have a social life... I was completely depressed.

Luckily for me, I dared to undertake this hair transplant ADVENTURE, and ... it has been the BEST decision in my life EVER.

Also, having the chance to meet Dr Couto was crucial... his passion got into me, for sure he is a special one ... But what really got me exciting too was, not just checking out his YouTube hair transplant results but the many many AMAZING results Dr Couto showed me from his computer at his office.

And what could I say about the treatment of his team, too good to be true... This clinic is beyond belief!

Now I am a VERY VERY VERY HAPPY person and I am AGAIN enjoying life!

    This is me before...

And this is THE NEW ME...  just 7 months after my hair transplant with Couto

    No f***ing way.

this is night and day difference. I remember you starting off unsure and stand-off based off the upcoming results but look at you, brushing off the bad with the new. It’s a great example of what’s to come forward and continue on instead of lingering what will.

im happy for you man. I think you grew a lot very fast, some of the hairs may still keep coming and softening up even until the 18th month mark.

  4. To be honest 65cm^2 should be a killer density. I think the aggressive approach may have backfired in this case.

i do agree the angulation is great. However, for 65cm^2 is a lot for the surface area you had for only 2800 grafts. I think the yield could have been a bit better but then again you may still be growing everything out still. You might be one of those patients that need up to 16-18 months. Or perhaps this is the result it gets. I don’t think it is very bad but for the aggressive density I would have expected more coverage in that frontal third.

  5. I completely agree man, the hairline definitely suits you. I think the area you have covered was just enough. Your hair looks pretty thick in the photos with the fiber, so I think when you actually get to months 9+ you probably wont need it. Your temple points seem pretty good too and you can rock the beard at its current length with the fade. Overall the hairline is a very good frame to your face.

Are there any otc products that are not dangerous and could help?

Hmm there are a few supplements that another poster has mentioned by the name of @MazAB he has a whole regimen worked out, give him a pm or maybe @Melvin- Moderator who also follows a similar pattern that mazab has detailed.

But other things you could do I can think of at this moment is probably zinc, biotin, multivitamins and other concoctions that are blended together to support hair, skin, and nails.

I am in consult with a few clinics already who are evaluating my case and will get back to me in few weeks. HLC is in the list as well and I contacted them on WhatsApp but it seems abandoned number?

How do I get in touch with them? Through WhatsApp or email? Can the past patients of theirs tell me how do I reach them.

    @EvansLawrence  @Vann  @MachoVato

Originally, I contacted them via whatsapp then contacted them through email.

I will PM you their email address.

Thank you. I’ve heard taking protein is smart. My biggest worry is I’m a poor healer and get red easily so didn’t know if there was a product that was proven to minimize problems like poor healing or long redness

A lot of drugs that can speed healing are quite dangerous, in most cases, because they compromise your immune system for a short period of time. Not all, but some of the most effective ones. So the trade off is ridiculously bad.

I am 3 weeks post-op. I am not sure when it is safe to do PRP, I heard 1 month, and perhaps to be on the safe side I can wait a bit longer.

I just don't know where to do it. I did my HT with Dr Couto and he said you have to carefully select the clinic (not all do a good job).

Any suggestions of a reputable place to do it in the US?

    Thanks

I did one session of PRP the first post op day after my hair transplant.

I also went on groupon and found some clinics in my area and gave them a call to see if they accepted the discount. Some will and some wont. But overall instead of paying like 750 per session at my local derm. I am only paying like $275 each time I go to a place about 40 mins away. Its further but I save a lot more money.

I did up to 3 sessions so far, I was going to go back 6 months from my last session but I might just go in for my last session of the year a month from my 3rd session.

So for me it was ...

july 1 - first prp post ht

August 12- 2nd prp (1 month post ht)

    september 14 - 3rd prp (2 months post ht)

Now I am thinking of going in october 11 for the 4th...  instead of  going 6 months from the 3rd session (march 14 2023)

  10. So you have a hose… if you step on the hose it creates pressure. If you remove your foot it takes pressure away. The hose has leaks which is how water escapes (making less pressure). However, because things regulate over time (let’s say tape) it evens out.

What he is saying is that the foot on the hose is dht. When you take meds it moves the foot off so you only leak out water at a slower pace. After 12 weeks you add that pressure back but without the foot.

    that’s how I’m understanding it.

    3 weeks post op.

Is that overharvesting or shock loss?

I've started to get really anxious about it750018216_IMG_20221002_2055191532.thumb.jpg.577e6ad2fbc8fcd897ebdea099734d19.jpg

3 weeks is too early to tell. No matter what answer it is only time will tell how your hair recovers.

There’s multiple things to factor… the damage done to the surrounding area, shed cycle, and how short the hair is that makes it look worse.

For now don’t over think it and focus on what’s ahead of you. There is not much to be done at this moment. Regardless it takes time to heal.

    Hey guys,

If I remember correctly I had 230 single grafts, they were carefully placed at the front to make the flow more natural. The double and triple grafts are probably evenly split.

The Dr. told me to buy Essengen-6 plus (MinoxidilMax) and use it from now on. My crown is still great so he wants to protect that area. I haven't used other medication in the past. I am not really a guy to use medicines so I have to see how this goes with side effects. I am at the end of my 20s. I have a big donor area, so we would be safe for future procedures, but as I said I hope to keep it with 1 surgery only.. we will see. Time will tell :)

I think you should rethink that approach. It seems kind of backwards you’re willing to have surgery but not take medication to prevent the surgery for as long as possible…

I think you should consult your surgeon and perhaps a derm about long term care for androgenic alopecia.

Nonetheless best of luck to you and happy growing!

    Thanks @gillenator, that's the plan

Anyway, tomorrow is 14 weeks and starting to get depressed.

Not seeing any significant growth. The small hairs in the left side of the hairline that have grown haven't gone past a few millimetres... I'm not seeing any growth on the right hand side at all. My hairline is still pluggy and see through.

The only place where I'm seeing good growth is on my temples.

Starting to believe something is wrong.

Trying to stay positive as it's apparently early.........

Stay strong bruddha, the growth definitely won’t happen the same for everyone.
just remember, repair options are more mental than the actual growth happens. Once you get those hairs growing in you’re going to forget this feeling. The ugly duckling/shock loss phase sucks and it’s definitely brutal. But it’s better than having done nothing.

keep your mind off of it and try to get into other activities you suck at and try to get better at it. By the time you get better with that new invested interest, instead of worrying, you’ll probably have some good gains to your scalp. So it’s a win/win

  14. Although it is concerning that not much has happened. I have seen a few cases where people haven’t started growing much until month 9. Perhaps You had unfortunate timing in the shed cycle so all your hairs were shedding when they got implanted and will grow at a later time.

it’s really hard to say you’ll grow at xyz pace. I have seen 2 cases from bloxham and feller, a good clinic in my opinion, where they didn’t get their end result until month 16-18.

for now just keep carrying in about your day and contact your surgeon to see what they tell you.
