  1. Cheers! Know that feeling well! You just have to remind yourself this hair restoration game is marathon and not a sprint (especially for us high norwoods). I've given myself a two/three year programme to achieve the result I want and factored in that I could need three passes. I guess what distracts me is knowing each day i'm closer to where I want to be!
  2. Dude is welcome here, I’ve done my best to answer all his questions! Hadnt appreciated just how new the account was on HRN, but I have to agree with Melvin 310 posts in 11 days when you havent even posted a result is defo suspect. Can’t prove it, but defo suspicious! Strikes me as trying to quickly build a credible account.
  3. I guess another analogy would be .. you don't insure your home with the intention of getting burgled! i.e. you are not saving grafts with the intention of of going more bald, but say you did it nice to know you have something!
  4. I suppose to give full context, you have to appreciate where I started from. Plus ive got another 100 grafts coming through just behind the temple. Its night and day difference if you ask me! I wouldn't want to change anything with it.
  5. Finasteride is only effective at slowing down the hair loss, so over time I could go balder, sides may drop, crown may dips lower and wider ect. My final pattern may look established now, but going bald so young opens up the door for hair loss further on in life (potentially). So I do totally understand the case of saving grafts. That said I do think it is unlikely my hair pattern will progress, and at the first sign I would jump on dut anyway, so I am cool with using up the grafts sooner than later. Lets see how this crown grows anyway, I may not even need a third sitting.
  6. Every person and case is different. But that said, GeneralEtwan used the same exact same amount grafts in his first sitting as I did in mine, just those grafts where distributed over the full scalp area, but he still needs a second sitting to improve density and add to the crown and humps (should he wish to of course). I could have had my 5300 grafts from my first sitting used all over my scalp, as opposed to focusing on the front and mid-scalp. Ultimately our end goals are identical, just we chose different routes to get there. Agree with your point about banking the scalp grafts for a touch up later on in life. I suppose they do say Greed is one of the seven deadly sins.
  7. Far too risky. I've had 5.8k scalp grafts to date, and doing that one sitting would just be a no no!
  8. It's a fair point, also worth adding that i've had 100 grafts behind each temple, which over the coming month will help with aesthetics. Without starting a lengthy debate on temple design (as we know it's quite well covered on this forum) but I do think the asymmetry on my temples helps with the naturalness .
  9. I do get what you mean, its because the crown dips. Crown dipping is usually associated with much higher hair loss grades, so by completely restoring the front first it doesn't follow a natural NW pattern. On reflection and theoretically speaking, say I was going to put off my second sitting (maybe by a couple of years),then restoring the front & mid scalp and the lower crown in the first sitting, would allow for a more natural looking hair loss pattern (similar to a NW3 Vertex). But as I did the two sitting six months apart, I can live with this small inconvenience. If i was really bothered I probably could do a 1 guard all over the back and sides as i'm in a fortunate position that my scaring is very hard to detect.
  10. Cheers Bud! Temple-wise I agree I think there getting over-analysed, nothing wrong with that and I love that people are taking the time to look at my results such detail. But me personally, I love how they look and will not be doing any corrections or touch ups on them!
  11. Cheers Rafael! Appreciate it looks a bit odd while the crown grows in, but each month brings new growth and it is becoming less Friar Tuck looking! I was always aware it would be the case with how I approached the the two sittings, but equally I have no regrets doing it this way, hopefully another 2/3 months will all look undetectable. Temple wise I know what you mean, one looks a bit more convex than the other, but honestly i'm over the moon with them, being a NW 7 have such temples is a dream to me!
  12. Month 11 Update Checking in with month 11 update (month 4 for the crown). Delighted with the front and to be honest I don’t expect any more improvement to come now. The crown has started to take off this past couple of weeks, but is a slower process compared to front. Though I see plenty of growth and it is very early days, I have a tiny reservation I may need a touch up in the lower crown area, just above my donor area, a similar situation to Melvin. The grafts implanted on the side corridors are also popping through and making a difference, I can now style my hair and have a natural looking side part. I’m over the moon with everything and delighted to see the crown growth starting. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t feeling a bit of hair greed kicking in, especially as I still a 2k grafts in my donor left and 4k+ beard grafts.
  13. Cheers for the shout Stewart! The work looks very clean! Looking forward to see this growing in. The subtle improvement to the hairline and temples by Dr Soumesh will go a long way in giving you a natural and fulfilling result! Now the for the toughest part to begin... The waiting game!
  14. Man Eugenix resurrected your scalp so hard! I also think we owe you a lot thanks too, with being one of the first people on the HRN (way back in 2019) who posted there journey with Eugenix. You was the first person who started the paradigm shift of belief that with beard and scalp hair, a NW6+ can be restored!. Also cool looking at your last sitting, its almost identical to mine with the graft placement on the lateral humps and crown area. Keep us updated, will be following this thread for sure!
  15. Night and day difference Melvin!! I agree that perhaps a few more grafts in the crown (with a focus on the lower crown area) will seal the deal and eliminate the need for any fibres. To be honest I do think you actually have good coverage in there right now, it is just a case that your scalp/skin contrast possibly not doing the result justice. The temples and hairline are just flawless too.. they're a work of art! On a final note, want to express my gratitude for these monthly update vids, helped keep my sanity, especially with my crown growth by having them to benchmark against!
  16. I would say you look bang on the money for 4.5 months, very similar position to me. I had a grafts implanted on my lateral humps and parts during my second sitting, which are now starting to make a big difference, I think this will be very much the case for you too, as you prepare for sitting number two. Retrograde-wise I would worry about it too much, a good fade cut can conceal it. You are on the meds so any progression will have slowed right down.
  17. I would say grow your donor out too. Sometimes when buzzed gives the illusion of a poor donor (very much the case with me). I would also say get back on finasteride asap, I was a NW7 and it did really helped with my donor area. I would also reach out to an ethical clinic who specialises high norwood cases like Eugenix. The fact you have never had a surgery before makes me think you do have a chance, for example look at @garcimore75case they pulled near 3600 grafts from the scalp with what looked like a poor donor. I'll go out on a limb and say if you willing to give your beard up under the right clinic you have a shot at hair restoration (providing you have realistic expectations)
  18. Looking good for two months, lots of early growth! Defo having flash backs to my own journey looking at your hair coming in!
  19. Looking great Karl for peak ugly ducking especially. Going to be great summer for you when all comes to fruition!
  20. Work looks super clean, glad everything went well! Those soft hairs implanted on your hairline are going to make a huge difference along with density. Will be following your result for sure, happy growing!
  21. I spoke with Dr Sethi about widows peaks during my second sitting planning sessions, as I wanted one. His view is that widows peaks generally are more suited to dudes with more rounder foreheads. I had a very flat forehead structure and he felt that I would not suit a widows peak.
  22. Wow super impressed with the level of research you did, you are going to reap the rewards for sure. Dr Sethi consistently does a great job of using lower graft numbers and covering more ground, a testament to his artistic ability. Also 550 grafts in each temple - is incredible, along with your new hairline these are going to roll back the years! Just amazes me how he can just knock temple peaks out the park for fun! Good luck and happy growing, ill be following closely!
  23. Thank you! The beard extractions are completely undetectable, I can both clean shave and grow without any detection.
