  1. I have thought about surgery for years. It is just hard to decide on a surgeon. I want to be conservative and I am happy with Gabel’s results as well as Hasson and Wong even though they are a little more aggressive.
  2. I didn’t mean to break any rules. I just lack guidance. I want to go with a conservative approach and I think Gabel offers that.
  3. I was initially rejected by H&W because I sent them photos where my hair was really really short and it looked like I was full bald. I made the decision to be conservative. So I took Eugenix and Pitella off of the table. I see nothing wrong with deciding to be conservative. I am fine with the front filled in and a bald spot on top. I don’t have unrealistic expectations. I’ve thought about surgery for years. I used hair fibers for years but alway considered a hair transplant and was doing research then too. a lot of people ask which surgeon they should pick. I’m not the odd one out.
  4. Yes I agree. It is best to be conservative since I am so young. And it is wise to use grafs sparingly. I have reserved August 30th. I can’t wait for my first hair transplant.
  5. It took about 1 week to get a response from their representative Doug. How long have you been waiting. Yeah I am not going to do the crown till much later. Going to try to keep microneedling. I wish I started on these hairloss treatments sooner. some days it just seems easier just to be bald.
  6. It is so soon. Unfortunately, I’m not sure if work will let me take off since it’s busy season now. So unfortunate, the next opening isn’t until July. I’ll probably have to end up waiting. Also I’m young and have aggressive hairloss. I’m only in my late 20’s almost 30.
  7. I am fine with being bald on the top. Hasson has an opening February 8th and February 9th. So I have to make a decision right away. Maybe I should not rush into it and wait until July time frame. Plus it’s hard to take off work on such a short time frame.
  8. I took the advice here and started to look for smaller size surgeries to start instead of going to Eugenix right away. I am wondering which surgeon is better for FUE. Gable quoted me 2000-2500 grafs to fill the front and mid scalp. Hasson and Wong quoted me 3500-4000 grafs to cover the front and mid scalp. I’ve heard good things about both surgeons. I may go with Gable because it might be better to start with a smaller surgery to see how my body reacts. Both don’t want to touch the crown in the first surgery. Any thoughts? see below
  9. Most Grafs went to the front hairline? why was it all done in one surgery? Don’t mega sessions reduce graf survival rates?
  10. Have you ever done any Norwood 5/6 younger patients in their late 20’s or early 30’s? If so, can you post a result from that? @Dr. Felipe Pittella
  11. Okay thanks for clarifying. That’s what I plan on doing. But probably going to be conservative and do it over multiple surgeries to spare my donor. Just fill in the front and part of the crown
  12. What about the people who go to Eugenix? Are they typically older and that’s why they don’t neeed multiple surgeries? The high Norwood cases I mean.
  13. I am on preventive medicine and have been for 2 years. I just started late cause my barber failed to point it out. I’d be fine with 5k and using fibers the rest of my life. @hairman22 You think Pitella is better than Eugenix for my case? I understand I will need more procedures in the future. This is obvious.
  14. Okay. Thank you will do. I wonder why Eugenix thought I was an alright candidate? maybe cause I didn’t make it clear what my expectations were. I’ll follow up with them
  15. @Melvin- ModeratorThabk you for your insight. I will take it to heart. I think I will just get a hair transplant to restore my front hair line and use fibers for my crown. My hairloss has almost stabilized except for the front. The crown is stabilized and has been for the last 2 years. but I will give long thought to it. Since my hairloss is so bad at a young age maybe a hair system would be better despite the maintenance.
  16. What makes me not a good candidate? is it my age and aggressiveness of hairloss? As well as my donor area? I don’t mean to be negative I just want to understand why I might not be a good candidate. Eugenix said I was a good candidate based on the photos I sent them and so have other top doctors like Konior. I don’t mean to be rude or anything. I’m just curious i tried shaving but I have a large birth mark on my head. Maybe I can get that removed.
  17. @Curious25 so it is best to go with a good surgeon in the USA maybe and break it into 2-3 sessions since I’m such a young age? I’ve looked and come across Konior, Gabel and True and Dorion as possible doctors here in the US. There is a long wait list but it might be worth it. I’d be happy with the front filled in and some of the crown.
  18. Yes I am a Norwood 6 and need about 5,000 grafs. Not sure who else can do a good job on such a high case. Look at my first comment that shows a photo. @NARMAK maybe Felipe Pittella can I’ve seen his good results but he is booked till November. But he has impress results. Just want to be conservative though as I am a young age and will likely continue to lose hair.
  19. I opted for their most expensive package. I hope I won’t be disappointed as it’s $30,000 which seems crazy to me. But it’s worth it to me. Other than Eugenix who does high Norwood cases well? H&W turned me down because of my age, which is around 28.
  20. If you go through the post @Hayden87it says he is worried the techs put the hair in the wrong way on the left side. I wish there was an update given. “the right side of head has come out well, but the tech who operated on your left side may have gotten the direction of the follicles wrong. Atleast, that's what it looks like from the picture you've posted. ”
