  1. Month 9 updates. Shots taken 01 July 2022. My hair is very curly now. I didn't have this before and my donor is not so curly. Might be due to the hair not being super long / grown out / still thin?

I'm extremely delighted with the results. Still taking finasteride daily and the supplements/vitamins as mentioned in my earlier posts. I've not had a haircut in awhile trying as I try to grow out the hair.

  2. Looking great @MazAB

The temples and fronts are really starting to form strong. I can see that soul smile in your face as well mate. Fantastic.

I'm weighing up options myself on minoxidil and have a couple of questions. I started topical minoxidil around the shedding phase and recently stopped (1.5 months I did it for)

Are you applying topical Minoxidil still? Do you plan to keep doing so? What benefits do you believe it has for you?

  3. Thanks for all the positive comments. It was very heart warming to read them all and knowing there's people rooting for me.

I began minoxidil in the shedding phase and now have stopped using it. Only been using for 1.5 months. It's a bit of a faff and sometimes I'm forgetting to apply it twice daily. I plan on taking finasteride long term.

Any thoughts or feedback on not applying liquid minoxidil twice daily?

    Hi,

    Great results, thanks for posting!

I have a question on the visa process. How long did it take for them to grant the visa and return the passport? We've been waiting 5 weeks and the procedure is in 2 weeks, getting quite anxious.

    Thanks!

    @LydiaKateEloise

My situation would not be comparable to yours. I went during a time when one could only go for medical visas. Right now it's open doors to all including tourism. I'd really get in touch with the embassy/country that you filed it in.

Really excited to follow this one.

Any chance we could see the donor area when you get the next hair cut?

And are you intending to stay on finasteride?

    @folicallychallenged

I should have mentioned that I got a haircut between months 3 and 4. Next time I will take a shot of the donor area for sure.

I continue to plan on taking Finasteride for the long term. It will keep the DHT levels in check.

  6. @Berba11 looking good with the progress. I would use something more natural than E45 and something that's close to 0 on the comedogenic scale, specifically oils like argan. They provide healing and cooling relief. I think mazAB has suggested aloe too.

In regards to the spots/folliculitis keep attention to those and see if they continue to occur. I kept having these in my donor only. Started an antibiotic treatment about a week back after consulting Eugenix and this has seemed to get rid of them ever so slowly.

Overall looking great and you'll soon be seeing serious gains and growth coming. Look forward to watching over the coming months 😊

Thanks so much for the reply. I've been quoted 250 per temple. At first i was a little concerned about density, but after doing a little bit of measuring around the area, i think 250 singles per temple could help properly reconstruct them now. Looking forwards to your further updates.

@NARMAK Trust in Eugenix and tell them your concerns where they will listen and provide real solutions/feedback in the initial photo screens. Once you're happy then move ahead <> a lot will be easier to do on the day up front and close by Dr. Arika.

I checked your post + images to compare them to mine pre-HT. Based on the figures they'll be putting in 44% additional temple grafts.

  8. Sorry for the delay in updates and Happy New Year to everyone 🎉😀

3 months in and can definitely see the new hair sprouting.

I've began applying 5% Minoxidil liquid application as well for about a week now.

All going well so far. Each day experiencing new growth and I was all smiles about a week back noticing all the new growth in areas I've not had hair since I was a teenager, so definitely chuffed 😁

    So excited for this one.

Would you or Eugenix describe your hair thickness as 'fine'?

It looks similar thickness to mine, albeit a different colour. So I'm excited to see this result. Good luck mate!

@follically challengedYeah I'd say so for sure. 15 years back all the barbers and hair dressers used to be shocked at how thick my hair was. I would describe my hair as a 4.5 out a thickness of 10 (prior to the HT). I'm sure finasteride will help bump that scoring up.

Great write-up. I must say you've grown a lot of hair in 16 days damn. I was expecting that much hair growth by 1.5 months. Gonna go to the store and buy these supplements. As for your beard, it is healed very well. I'm very excited to be getting a similar procedure.

Hey @Melvin- Moderator , your presence has graced the thread, woo 🙏🏽. Eugenix were ecstatic for your arrival when I was there in early October. Those images are at day 39!

I was saying at day 16 I went to a conference and nobody could tell that I had a procedure done. I partied too much and didn't take any pics that clearly show the hairline 😂.

The worst part of the shedding is over for you. Now it's all about the weekly, monthly gains! It all looks really good! Along with Collagen, definitely consider Hyaluronic Acid as well. The Collagen will be a lot more effective when you take them together. Same thing goes for MSM. If you taking it, you should also pair it with vitamin D3 as well. The 2 have synergistic effects.

Also, at week 5 you can start back up with Minoxidil. I'd highly recommend it twice daily to accelerate growth and minimize potential shock loss.

Thanks @MazAB. I forgot to include that I'm taking the hyaluronic acid too - I bought these on your recommendation. I've included all the things I'm taking (can't edit my initial post to include them and have copied below)

    • Daily Biotin 10000mcg
    • Daily Collagen 6000mg
    • Daily Hyaluronic Acid 300mg
    • Daily Fish Oil 1000mg
    • MSM 2200mg
    • Daily Opti-Men multivitamins for years prior to HT
    • Daily Vitamin D3 for years prior to HT
    • Dailyily Hair Fact recommended by Eugenix after the 7th day

Were  "Vitamins + Supplements + Medicines" suggested by Eugenix team or you decided about theme yourself?  Also how long tit took from time they told you your surgery date and actual surgery. How long you waited?

@MoneroThe Hair Fact I purchased from Eugenix.

Reading on @MazABthread I'm taking Collagen and Fish Oil. The MSM I read about it from Zoomster.

It was not very long - about 2 or 3 weeks. I was under exceptional circumstances and had a golden window of opportunity to proceed. Hope that helps.

  13. Here is a bit of an update.

Exactly 16 days after finishing the surgery, I attended a 4 day conference. Nobody could spot anything or could tell I had the procedure. Pretty amazing!

I've attached pictures which is now 39 days. I feel like shedding has not been as drastic as I had imagined or thought. All is going well a few bumps in the beard and donor area post HT (I don't experience this prior to the HT). All fine in the recipient zones.

Continued follow - up by Eugenix to ensure all is on track with the procedure. Saw Juan's one year update today posted by Eugenix on YouTube - looks fantastic. Just waiting game from here on now.

I will try to post on a regular basis with monthly updates.

They you for the help with all that info, great to know. Puts my mind at further ease, and I'm actually looking forward to the experience. 🙂

Did you pay for your procedure in advance? This is what I am planning to do since my bank will reject international charges on my debit card.

No I paid a deposit to Eugenix in advance. Everything else I settled in country using my credit card, which has no FX charges and even allows for ATM withdrawal without incurring daily interest like most credit cards.

Regardless of paying in country or out of country - the merchant/seller will be using their own terminals, which will be based in India - so you might encounter the problem you stated.

I'd highly recommend a credit card (has consumer protection baked-in) - the one I have from the US is the Capital One Venture double points (no FX charges). Let me know if you need a referral/recommendation.
