Dr John Diep - 1 year result FUT - 37 y/o male
Fue3361 replied to Mohammad A.'s topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Looks good. While I’d never set foot in Diep’s clinic, this is one of his better results. Good density, nice hairline, and seemingly excellent yield. Enjoy the new hair. -

Bicer vs Ferreira for 2nd tranplant?
Fue3361 replied to atari's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Dr. Ferreira is a higher tier surgeon than Bicer in my eyes. If budget isn't an issue, I'd always personally go for the best you can get. -
Pros if any of FUT?
Fue3361 replied to HairEnthusiast101's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Absolutely false. As for the question itself, it's pretty much an outdated method in most cases. The only advantage is for people with high scalp laxity, they can get more grafts in total if they do a combination of FUT + FUE. For normal laxity, I'd say there's almost no advantages, and tons of disadvantages. -
Nerve pain post-op - normal or not?
Fue3361 replied to MaximumMM's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Nerve pain should eventually go away, and should at most take a few months. Nerves are very slow to heal, but they do heal. -
Day zero, if you are 100% certain that you won't touch the grafts. Can you be certain of this? Absolutely not, so you shouldn't do it haha. When it's safe to do? Day 10 you're more than fine to rub against grafts gently. Doesn't mean you should, but grafts are pretty secure by then. I think I was wearing non button shirts as early as day 3, but that's not a good idea, I just know myself, I have good body coordination and I was hyper careful to put them on without touching anything. I would not recommend this.

Sleeping at a 45-90 degree angle
Fue3361 replied to Ralph kaka's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Take this with a grain of salt, but this is my understanding: There are 2 advantages to sleeping upright. One is that it drastically helps to reduce swelling in the face and head, as it lets gravity do its thing, and two, it makes it much less likely that you'll turn in your sleep and rub the grafts against the bed. It's very important the first few days that you sleep on your back. Sleeping upright can be the best way to insure this happens. I don't think the actual angle itself does very much specifically for graft survival though. -
Very High Density forehead reduction (3361 grafts)

If anything, regardless of fin sides; they’d probably have better performance due to the low cialis dose. -
Very High Density forehead reduction (3361 grafts)
Fue3361 replied to Fue3361's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Lol! There are pharmacies that do custom meds, and Dr. has those pills custom made for him. He gave me the 3 month worth of pills as I was leaving the clinic day of transplant. -
Very High Density forehead reduction (3361 grafts)
Fue3361 replied to Fue3361's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Because I never needed it in the first place. I've had no hair loss during my entire life (just born with a large forehead). I spoke to my Dr. about this, and he still recommended oral minoxidil for the first few months, as it would help the new grafts take. Keep in mind, my implant density was 80+ grafts/cm2. I was taking a pill that has a blend of Minoxidil, Cialis, Viagra and Arginine, all to increase bloodflow to the skin and with the objective of making graft survival as high as possible in such a densely packed procedure. On my 1 year checkup, he told me that I'm looking great, and that he would recommend me getting on Minoxidil/Dutest or Fin, in the case where I see any thinning starting to happen. As that hasn't happend yet though, I don't see a reason to get back on the Minoxidil. When I say my hair might be slightly thinner, it's just slightly thinner than my peak density (at the 1 year mark), but I don't think it's any thinner than it was before the HT. I just lost the Minoxidil gains I got (which I don't think were really necessary, as my density was pretty high to begin with). EDIT: I would obviously get on the main meds if in the future I started thinning to any significant degree. -
Trying to choose a clinic in Turkey.
Fue3361 replied to Gook's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
We're comparing apples and oranges. H&W is mostly a tech clinic with great techs (techs do a lot of the work, but not to be confused with a hair mill), whereas Pekiner is more hands on. That said, H&W is a great clinic, because the techs are excellent, and they've been doing it a long time. Yeah, I'd say Pekiner's graft survival rate is elite tier, right up there amongst the best. I think Pekiner's hairlines are top 5 easily for me in the world. The only negative would be that I see some multies escape here and there in hairlines (not enough to ruin the hairline, but they do appear sometimes). It has been brought to my attention though that this also happens to most surgeons who are considered very good. What about Bicer? I think Pekiner is simply superior. I think Bicer is decent, but in my view, Bicer's value has been inflated due to being very recommended on this forum. -
can you pinch your scalp like that?
Fue3361 replied to mr_peanutbutter's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Literally can't get any skin. -
Hard to say without seeing your facial proportions whether you are being stupid in looking at a HT. Sometimes, if the lower two thirds are really small, even your hairline can make the forehead appear large. Personally, I really like Pekiner when it comes to hairline work. The only downside to him is that he does allow some multies to creep into the hairline, which is not ideal. But artistically, his hairlines, even without that defect, are very good. Freitas is a good choice too though.

When it comes to excellent hairlines, Pekiner is absolutely at the highest level in Turkey. Now, if you’re a NW 7 and looking to do most with less, there are other things to consider other than hairline.

If Dr. Nader is within your price range, he'd be an insta pick for me out of that list.

Top Density Doctors?
Fue3361 replied to HairEnthusiast101's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Thiago Bianco can plant over 100/cm2 according to him. I’ve seen a case of Konior do the same (the patient complained about the result being very unnaturaly dense). My HT was between 75 and 81 fu/cm2 (counted at multiple spots). I would not trust just any surgeon to do this. Too high a density done badly can = loss of grafts or even necrosis at the worst case. And the vast majority of people will never need nor should they be recommended anything above 65 imo. -
Very High Density forehead reduction (3361 grafts)
Fue3361 replied to Fue3361's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
My hair is slightly thinner (I think) after having stopped Minoxidil, but I think that's to be expected. The oral minoxidil probably made my hair thicker than it naturally is. -
I'm curious as well. I know Brazilian prices quite well, and 4 dollars per graft is very expensive for Brazil. But for the work itself, I'd say 4 dollar a graft is pretty fair, given the quality I've seen from Pittella. I'm curious if he actually charges 4 dollars per graft to Brazilians, or if this is what he charges to foreigners. I know Thiago at the time of my surgery is probably charging on average less than that, or just about, and he's a bigger name in Brazil.
