  1. Hi All I have now reached 10 months post op with Dr Bruno Pinto so thought I would update you all My right side was always lagging behind my left and in the recent few months it has been slowly catching up. I still have a lot of hairs only recently popped through on that side that need to grow and thicken. I had a touch of folliculitis on that side and Dr Pinto says he sees that often delay the growth and people end up growing past 12 months so I am still hoping it may get more density although I do think a tiny little touch up on that side may be in order but we will see. As the right side is a little thinner my hair doesn’t look as good combed from right to left and can in certain lights look a tiny bit see through. However combed from left to right it all looks pretty full and that’s how I style it now I have to say he has done a great job with the naturalness. No one has suspected a thing. Here are some photos of it styled and also soaking wet slicked back over the last few months. Let me know what you all think
  2. Hi FolksToday is exactly 5 months since my hair transplant with Dr Bruno Pinto in Porto.Since my month 4 update I don’t feel like there’s been massive change but there has been a more subtle one. On the whole the hairs are growing well and thickening. I haven’t had a growth explosion like some do although I do feel it’s improved some. My left side is a lot fuller and thicker than my right side. There is one small gap on the left which has some hairs popping through so hopefully that should fill in and I am very happy with that side. The right side was my bigger side for recession and had more grafts. This is lagging behind a little. I do have coverage there and there are lots of smaller hairs just popped through but I do feel this needs to start thickening up some and hopefully soon. The hairs are very thin and see through. Especially when wet but guess that’s to be expected.I’m at the point where I can take identical photos in the same place in the same lighting and just change my head angle a little and it completely changes the outcome. It looks great in some photos and see through in others.I have been reliably informed that I am on track at 5 months and the right side is a standard 5 months and not to compare to the left side or those people that basically have full results at this point. As always let me know your thoughts and I will update again at 6 months. I hope between now and then I have a more growth and thickening of hairs to report Here are my photos. Some with flash and zoom and others next to a window and no flash. I have also done some wet hair combed back to show the hairline. Apologies for how many there are
  3. From first hand experience I can tell you that Dr Pinto is a lovely guy who cares so much about getting you a good result. he is going to have plenty of time to answer all your questions. I would think he is going to draw a hairline for you on the day to see what’s realistic and be able to quote you on grafts. think of all the questions you can and write them down. He will answer all of them for you and fully explain the reasons behind the answers for you good luck man
  4. Hi FolksHere is my 4 month 120 days update.I was going to write how I wasn’t sure if the last month had seen much change but looking back now at my three month update I think it has. Let me know what you all think? When I really zoom in I can see some tiny hairs poking through.I really like the hairline design dr Pinto has done and the frame it gives my face.I need more density and the hairs to thicken up. In favourable lighting the photos look quite good however in harsh bathroom over head lighting and looking side on it looks see through and I worry it’s not where it should be for the time frame. You guys are the experts so I’m hoping you’ll let me know but I hope I am on track for where I should be at 4 months? The first 6 photos are taken about 2 metres from the window with flash and zoom onThe next 6 photos are taken about a foot away from the window in natural lightAs usual any questions or comments please feel free
  5. Thanks man I hope it gets a good result. Yes the donor has looked perfect since about 7 days post op
  6. That’s pretty good for four months pal keep going
  7. Thanks for replying. Nice to hear it’s looking ok
  8. Hi FolksIt seems a while since I have updated the thread and that’s because I have been waiting for the 3 month mark.Today I am officially 90 days after my hair transplant in Porto.I am still a little red in the recipient area. I knew I would be redder for longer than most people as I do have really sensitive skin. I take my photos zoomed in and with flash that makes it look redder but gets better detail. When I take a normal photo by the window with no flash it isn’t that bad at all. Also to note I have never used anything like Aloe Vera etc on the recipient as I didn’t want to put anything on it while it healedI do what everyone tells you not to do and check my hair every five minutes which means I don’t get to see the subtle changes but I’m pretty sure I am having some of the hairs growing in. I shed pretty much all my grafts but by now in week 12 I do seem to have the outline of the hairline and a good amount of hairs popping through especially on the left side which had less work on it. The right side was a bigger area and both sides are in need of more hairs and them all to thicken up but I think it looks ok for 90 days and interested to see what you all think? All the photos are taken with flash apart from the last 6 which are just normal photos by a sunlight window including one of the donor area which has been great since about the second week and no shock loss just as Dr Bruno Pinto assured me there wouldn’t be anyI shall update again at 4 months
  9. Hasson and Wong are one of the most respected not some start up that doesn't know what they are doing. I was told not to spray for two days with mine. Each clinic is different My understanding is that the spraying is to keep the area clean but also the scabs moist so they come off easier when its time to come off. Listen to your doctor
  10. How’s it going has the foliculitis got any better?
  11. Hi AllI am now 6 weeks post hair transplant. I have shed nearly all grafts from about week 3 which is why I haven’t updated since as not much to report. I am starting to get a few pimples now. One or two here and there. When I have my camera really zoomed in on my phone I see lots of tiny thin colourless hairs. Is that the start of early hair growth does anyone know? I can’t see them by eye only with the camera on but I do think I have quite a lot of these tiny colourless hairs that seems to be poking through the skin?
  12. Hi AllHere is an update from three weeks post hair transplant yesterday.Three weeks is random, there are hairs growing quite long and thick (I know they are going to shed) some that don’t seem to have grown much and some that have fallen out already so all in all it’s a bad look haha. The right side has had more shed by now. I can see sparser areas where hair was before but also easy to tell as the skin underneath becomes more visible with less hair it is looking red or pinker. It’s not so red looking in the mirror but in photos does look rather red so hopefully the camera accentuates it.Also a photo of the donor at three weeks that I have had cut and blended in a bit but that looks and feels great and has since week 1 reallyAny comments or questions welcome
  13. @MJM I paid €2.65 per graft but I booked and paid well over a year ago. I know Dr Bruno Pinto like everybody has had to put his prices up since then due to all the costs rising. He said during mine he wishes he didn’t have to but to be able to use all the proper and good equipment there is only a few places that supply them and they have price increases and basically all the good doctors use them so they have all had to increase prices now
  14. This is looking good Gatsby. the salt and pepper look is very distinguished and suits you imo you deserve a great result
  15. Hopefully you get good coverage. hairline looks good. did the doctor do a swirl in your crown it’s hard to see?
  16. As expected this should be a good result. You had good hair and went to a great doctor given your age and hair type it is going to be a good result
