  1. I dont think that I have experienced any re growth yet, possibly a minority have grown back. The hair needs to be in anagen phase to die permanently. In my case, it was transplanted ontop of my existing hair which makes it very difficult to remove. It was also placed something like 350 grafts in each temple, total approx 700. You can only remove maximum approx 50-75 grafts each session to be sure you are not damaging your skin. There is different types of electrolysis, the one I am going for is the blend method. It is more time consuming but less risk of scarring than thermolysis which works much faster. The blend method uses both galvanic current(very strong, ideally it would be best to only use galvanic method, but none is doing that, mainly because it can take MINUTES to remove 1 hair) and thermolysis(takes less than 1 second on each hair) combined they need about 3-12 seconds to destroy each follicle, which makes it much stronger aswell than standard thermolysis that is usually meant for thinner hairs.
  2. You are correct yes, not everything is about yield. I had input from some of the best in the industry, which basically everyone said that it is really poor work. One very well respected Dr asked if they were drunk during surgery when I sent him photos from my pre-electrolysis situation. 😁
  3. I think you only need removal of the grafts in the temples as your temples look soft from the start, the hairline that was transplanted looks like it needs some work aswell to add density and add some naturalness. I am not going to say to anyone "you should go to this clinic". I can say that you can look at Dr Bijan Feriduni repair cases to see if you like his work. He often do repair jobs. I choose Dr Marwan Saifi personally because hes in my opinion creating soft looking hairlines and temples and we had a good talk about my expectations and the approach he wanted to take. He answers every e-mail himself, so you have a easier time discussing details, instead of talking to a coordinator. Wish you best of luck.
  4. Thanks people for your encouraging words. Here is a small update, unfortunaly with more maturation the other side which looked better before, had almost only multiple grafts aswell, so we have started to go hard on that area now as one side is looking alot better. I really hope the hairs is not coming back as it might be a possibility, but time will tell. Just know if you have a botch job yourself, you will get there, dont give up.
  5. Well, I dont need to tell you that, you can look at my photos that in my case singles was used yes, in a heavy mix with 2s, 3s, 4s and 5s. In case of angles, it is mainly due to the skill of the Dr, the angles and direction of the hair is made in the incision step and you cannot ensure anything yourself, you need to trust the Dr. Every clinic will tell you this, you think they will respond that they will not do their best with your case? You should research alot before going through with anything in my opinion, if you still believe Dr Yaman is the best choice for you and your goals after doing extensive research, go ahead with him. There is cases here on the forum on this Dr and many other Drs, best is to research alot of different ones and the one you like most you go with. Do not let the price be the decisive part, I paid 2350 euros but now it will cost me about 5000 euros to get this repaired. My total will be approx 7350 euros.
  6. The temples is supposed to be fine hairs, a graft that they take on the back of your head consists of 1-5 hairs, in the temple zone and in the frontal hairline they are supposed to plant only 1 haired grafts for it to look natural. In my case they planted 3 haired, 4 haired and 5 haired grafts. It is also very important with the angles of the grafts, specially in the temple zone, which in my case were also wrongly angled. Unfortunaly we got no explanation from Dr Yaman why this happened, only a explanation blaming covid. The reason seems to be that they do not use loupes or microscopes to sort the grafts into 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s which makes them plant randomly with no thought. Why there was wrong angles we dont know either, a mistake or not enough skills to create temples would be the options.
  7. Thanks! Yes now it does look alot better and I can go outside without a hat on. I will have 1 more treatment then I will just wait out my repair surgery. I dont want to waste any more grafts, but I also dont want to go around for 6 months with a cap on, and then punch out every single graft with the risk of scarring, thats why I opted for Electrolysis. You too! 🙂
  8. Yeah, I think the forum is being as transparent as it can be. Many other forums would have deleted my thread. I think what you say is true, research for yourself, not just go by some list. We dont agree on Dr Yaman and thats fine, but I think we can agree that ANY clinic not using any form of magnification is not doing it the proper way, which @DrTBarghouthistressed in my thread, that it is crucial to use magnification for consistent good results. I guess its also in my opinion how "Elite" you want the "Recommended List" to be, if you want the list to be Physicians who will not kill you or if you want Physicians who do actually everything in detail and with very consistent results. All in all, the forum is mostly built on researching on your own with patients posting their 12-month journeys, we dont need to put so much time into criticizing the recommendation list, it is there for the forum to stay alive and be able to pay its bills it seems that you are saying.
  9. I have full respect and it cannot be easy to run a site like this and recommend 42 physicians at this time, and always be updated what is happening at the clinic. The list at this moment has many great Doctors. It can be that two of the best technicians both leave and suddenly you stand there with two new that you gotta teach for the best of your ability, while still performing 2-3 surgeries a day. Not an easy task. I had a botch job by a recommended Dr but I would never say that he should be removed, if you feel that he should be recommended so be it, but I think its fair for patients who post reviews to question work when for example in my situation no magnification is used at the clinic when I was there, no loupes and no microscopes to sort the grafts, its interesting how one could think he is a recommendable Dr considering this. If you want for yourself you can pluck a 4 haired graft with tweezers and a single while the hair is long(much easier to see), cut it to almost 0mm like it is when its shaved with 0 guard. Then just look at it with the bare eye and say who is who, then put on 6x loupes and see the difference.
  10. Yes it does look pretty bad still, even after so many grafts have been removed. I need to have a balance, because I will have a repair surgery in September and if I can make it look alright until then, the grafts that are not killed with Electrolysis might be reused. Thats why I might keep some ugly ones, I did not want the temples to be totally punched out, because I am pretty prone to scarring and red skin, thats why I opted to remove the worst with Electrolysis.
  11. The hairline has ALOT of double grafts, it is alright density, not great. It is difficult for me to say exactly since I have thin hair, I assume maybe somewhere around 30-32 grafts per cm2. 40 grafts per cm2 was implanted. I will do a full calculation on this when I have my next transplant in September, I will measure the grafts per cm2 that grew on different places in the transplanted area to give an exact answer then. I have a bald spot in my upper temple on one side still that might be transected grafts that was implanted, not sure, doesnt seem to grow anything there, that spot is maybe 5-10 grafts per cm2. Here is a two photos, before and after 5 electrolysis sessions, about 200 grafts have been killed in this temple. The bald spot that never grew
  12. Those temple points looks sick. Really really nice result overall at just 4.5 months. 😁 Looking forward to my repair with Dr Saifi in September. 😊
  13. Thanks, I am trying to keep calm and just think positive. We were about the same level of loss, your hair is looking great by the way, very nice design. Also I can say that I am booked with Dr Marwan Saifi in Wroclaw, Poland in September to repair this mess. Hes doing very nice and natural looking temple work on the cases I have seen, so I think hes the one who can get this done the proper way. Thanks to @Rossybop@Colly29@Keith2091
  14. I will try to help you, I saw your thread aswell. In my case I was lucky to find someone doing electrolysis with 18 years of experience who run her own clinic specializing in skin & hair. It is not very common for her to remove transplanted hair, but she liked the challenge. I asked a couple different ones, but mostly they were pretty scared because they are not supposed to remove all of the grafts, it is precision work and very time consuming and you need to do maybe 10 sessions. For your case i think it might be a little bit easier, it looks like it has been transplanted on its own and not between existing single hair grafts so its less precision, more just get it done. For scalp hair it dies pretty quickly with electrolysis because of long anagen phases, so you dont have to worry about hitting the same graft 10 times, it usually dies the first time around. Redness lasts only a couple of days in my case and I am very prone to redness. This is how we go about the sessions now, with me putting dots on the grafts that I want her to remove. In my opinion it is important to find someone who does Electrolysis with the blend method, it usually gives less scarring and is much more soft to the skin than regular thermolysis. I would NOT opt to FUE out the grafts in your case, I saw some people who recommended that, it is very likely it will leave scars and its not a good look when you have white dot scars in your face. It is fine to FUE out grafts deeper into the hair, but not the front lines in my opinion.
  15. I will come back here and update at 12 months just to follow through my review. I feel like I am obligated to do that with a title like this and the background to this thread is all about helping others. I will do another surgery in September to add density and correct this. I will also when I shave down again measure the grafts per cm2 in the transplanted area to see the final survival rate. I think if the title was "Most Detailed Dr Cinik Review You Will Ever See" the responses would have been very different in here. Until then, I am out.
  16. I see the concern yes, at 6 months it is a little sparse. You still have many more months left though and they are a good clinic offering free touch ups. I know there have been alot of cases in need of a touch ups from this clinic lately, the clinic adressed this aswell on the UK forum where they apparently have some new measurements to try to get these problems solved.
  17. I think my experience was very good. Everything from the pickup to the hotel, the driver always arriving in time, everything was great at the clinic aswell. Very respectful people and Dr Yaman himself is a good guy. What I am dissapointed with is the the temples which is done so fundamentally wrong theres no words for it. Every great Dr I talked to reaction is "Oh God, who did this?". Other forums have also another view on this than a minority of people here it seems for some reason. I am also a little bit dissapointed that my hairline consists of many double grafts and some multiple grafts. The yield looks decent, it is what I expected because of my thin hair calibre. I think your case will be good, its looking promising.
  18. Well, my extraction part lasted for about 1,5-2 hours. During this whole time it was 1 guy with me in the room until the very end, the implantation team entered to help pull the extracted grafts out, they were 3 people working on me with this for maybe 20-30 minutes. After this I had lunch quickly for 15 minutes. So total time before implantation was very quick and if @DrTBarghouthi said it takes HOURS for them to be sorted with Microscopes, you can pretty much say that it was def not used. Ontop if this the implantation team did not use loupes as I looked up alot of times to see what was going on in the room because I always thought about my review and I wanted to give a detailed one. I was not sedated and I did not take xanax or any other drug to relax.
  19. Maybe you should read what you wrote again, you said that he will REMOVE packages with less involvement? So my case was with less involvement without my knowledge? I think Dr Yaman did incisions like he always have? If it was not someone else who came in when I did not see behind me.
  20. There are many great Doctors out there only doing the incisions step, so what is Dr Arika Bansal for example doing differently than Dr Yaman? In my case I have wrong angles aswell, is not that done in this step you say? How is Dr José Lorenzo hitting every case out of the park with 4 patients a day? I think with your recommendation system it would be great if you had some follow ups with your Doctors who are recommended once in a while, to see if theres any changes and follow up adjusting your information you have on each Doctor. The text now on all Doctors make them look quite equal. How is newcomers here supposed to know the difference when everyone just says "check out the recommended list, you cannot go wrong with anyone of these"? When I talked to you it seems that you dont know much about this clinic at all. I dont mean to attack you nor the forum, its more of a constructive criticism and would lead to more people being involved here long term I would think. Bad results are always a possibility, and I think its a bad way to react by saying to me that I had "no reasons to be negative" like you said here earlier, or in other patients reviews "stop spreading your hair" when 99% of the forum see the obvious flaw. I like this forum alot, its a great way to research clinics and get a feel for who you are going to choose, its probably the best forum out there, but I think a more respectful approach would be good sometimes and not put the biggest blame on the patient.
  21. Just some points I would like to clear, I think his pricing have been like this for years, no? I have seen reviews from 2016 where they say 1800 euros for 4000 grafts. What do you mean "the packages with less involvement"? Hes for many years only done incisions from my knowledge with Ufuk Yaman(left and opened his own clinic) and Mohamed Yaman doing extraction and techs implanting. Many years ago he did extraction aswell, so you mean that he will start doing that now? There are not many reviews of him at this forum, other than his own posts.
  22. How long does it take to sort 2550 grafts out with microscopes? Longer than 10-15 minutes? I did not see any microscope in the operation room, the room is very small aswell, it does not even have a place for a microscope I would think.
  23. That might be the case, the grafts was being prepared when I had lunch. This lunch lasted for about 10-15 minutes. But it would then be weird if this was really done why so many multiple grafts were placed in one area. One thing would be that they ran out of singles after planting the hairline, they only extracted 524 singles. I guesstimate that the temples is about 350 grafts in each temple. So 700 grafts. But only the first rows is really crucial to have these singles so they should have been able to use the singles in the first rows in both the temples and the hairline.
  24. I agree with you. When I think about it aswell, if you look at these photos. The first photo is taken in Dr Yamans office, I though it looked good the idea to close the temple fully. After this we did not plan anything more, I had some blood work done, they shaved my head, we went to the operation room to start the operation. In the operation room where the second photo is taken, the final drawing was done. I did not see this drawing, I just knew he would close the temples. If you look at the second photo you see that hes well over the original plan, hes now going into my existing hair.
  25. Dr Yaman himself is using loupes and I think the extraction guy is using it. If you look at their Instagram and from when I looked up at the surgery table, I did not see any loupes during implantation. You can have a look yourself: https://www.instagram.com/drresulyaman/
