  1. Glad to hear you’re happy with your results. who will you be going to for the remaining donor work?
  2. Great video. I wonder why they prescribe low dose dut on consecutive days rather than spread it out through the week.
  3. Get lost! You represent a hairmill that butchers patients. It’s clear you destroyed this guys donor and now you need to be held accountable.
  4. Hi @track_rat, thanks for keeping us updated. Unfortunately, some of us have longer journeys with bumps along the way. Just know, you’re not alone in this. Unfortunately, when we try to better ourselves by taking on a procedure such as a hair transplant, sometimes things can go askew. However, I’ve seen enough repair cases here to know that your scenario is not impossible to repair. Just take small steps whatever you choose. If you’d ever like to chat feel free to PM me.
  5. Do NOT gamble with your head. It will forever be on display for the rest of your life.
  6. Absolutely start meds if you’re still on the fence about getting surgery in the future. If down the line you do change your mind and forgo the meds then you’ll probably need more work as you’re likely to lose more hair over time.
  7. Usually when all the scabs are gone is when you can restart minoxidil. For many patients this is around the two week mark. But definitely refer to your doctor’s post op instructions or ask them what they recommend
  8. You’re switching your meds and dosages wayyy too much and that’s probably what’s inducing these sheds. Stick to a regimen for at least 6 months to a year. Shedding is normal especially on minoxidil. Take pics every 3 months and assess.
  9. Very normal to be scared especially when it’s your first. the pain levels are quite tolerable and recovery for fue is not too bad. The part that tests your patience is waiting out the full results. Flying should be fine. Just make sure to get a window seat to avoid anyone/anything bumping your head.
  10. If you ever plan on wearing your hair short in the donor, I wouldn’t go down the fut path. If you go to a good surgeon, you can still have an fut after having a well performed fue.
  11. Most likely it’s fine but check with your clinic
  12. I would personally hold off unless you go super conservative. 23 is very young. It appears you may have some retrograde alopecia above/behind your ears as well which can potentially mean your donor may be slightly limited. Medication might help improve these areas though.
  13. Lots of possible reasons: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2956960/
  14. There are studies showing it’s useful when combined with topical minoxidil. However, if you are a prospective hair transplant patient, I would weary of micro needling causing any kind of scarring on the scalp with prolonged use.
  15. Looking great with minimal signs of surgery. By which day were you able to remove all scabbing in the recipient?
  16. The follicle under the skin should be fully integrated into your scalp by day 16. Likely nothing to worry about. Even if you lost a couple grafts, shouldn’t make a big difference towards the final result
  17. It’s been a few years so let me see if I can find it. It was either Reddit or hlt. From memory the 15% minox with azelaic acid was tested and the concentrations of each came in at about half of the listed claimed amounts.
  18. I’m really sorry to hear about your experience. It takes a lot of bravery to post your story online. I would suggest you plan your next surgical move very carefully given that you have limited donor. It seems like you’ve consulted with well known names so that’s a great start. Good luck on your journey and know this forum is a safe place for good advice. Feel free to PM me if you’d ever like to talk.
  19. Personally, I would never trust any vendor that didn’t have at least a brick and mortar location. With that being said, it’s difficult to find something like this as most of the experimental drugs such as RU are manufactured in gray market labs in China. there was a thread (I think on Reddit) where a member posted lab results from a minoxidilmax product and it was severely watered down on most active ingredients that were listed.
  20. Very natural looking result. It’s difficult to recreate a natural hairline with coarse hair like this. any immediate post op pics of the recipient and donor?
  21. I’ve heard some people mention slower growth when implanting in previously transplanted zones. So at worst it would be staggered by a few months.
  22. This is seriously insane (in a good way). He’s extracting fragile singles with a .45/.5mm punch without any kind of magnification. meanwhile other clinics are having transection issues utilizing punches double that diameter under magnification. 🤯
