  1. That's the thing: they have photos everywhere. Beautiful results. And international travel is necessary because American doctors end up charging more and I'd still have to travel.
  2. So ran across American Mane in Miami, FL and had a video consult with their rep. A few things caught my attention: 1. They quote a flat rate of $7k. No mention of the number of grafts. 2. No mention of spanning an HT over multiple days. Just one day and you're done. 3. They offer their own brand supplements (shampoo & foam) that don't seem to have any special ingredients directly affecting hair loss. 4. They're readily available in two months for a procedure compared to known hair surgeons who are booked out for 8-12 months. 5. No doctors listed on their webpage. Some red flags for sure, but then their social media reviews on Google and such are PERFECT. What's up with that? You'd expect to have at least SOME mediocre reviews. I'm wondering how these hair mills get away with this, unless they really are the real deal. I'd love to avoid international travel and see them instead but what are your thoughts?
  3. Thanks for all the replies. I just don't want to get burned. He's in a different country so that's always on my mind. But the doctor is a recommended person here so I think that's a plus. @Rose17
  4. Well that's the thing: I already sent in photos and the Dr responded. I can't imagine what new info the consultation will discover and, like you mentioned, if it'll be more than 5 minutes. I'll admit I wanted to get scheduled for an HT with this guy but that's giving me second thoughts. Nothing personal against him or any doctor though.
  5. Is this a normal practice? I actually wanted to move forward with a specific doctor but he wants around $107 USD just to see me on video and seems like he will only move forward from there. I'd understand if it's to weed out serious vs non-serious patients but it's not applied to any portion of the surgery. What's up with that?
  6. Yeah people pretty much proved he's a charlatan. Thanks for the update and extra info though. Hopefully more people see this and avoid falling for his poor workmanship.
  7. That's fair. I'll bring it up to him.
  8. That's fair but there's so many of them; how do new ones get a chance?
  9. My colleague is actually a former patient of theirs. He's happy with the results. However, it does look like he had a transplant to a trained eye so not sure if that meets our standards.
  10. Can anyone vouch for these guys? I met a business partner who was very happy with them and they appear to have a good socal media track record.
  11. Yes, Dr. Nader did respond, but I wrote back with some questions of my own but haven't received a response yet and it's been over a week
  12. Probably not after reading these reviews. So thank you for sharing. Still, I would file a complaint with the authorities and consider taking him to small claims. I know the maximum in Las Vegas is $10,000.
  13. Oh yeah I saw that. Sorry that happened! Do you have any rights at this point against him?
