  1. Hello gents. Just an update at the circa 12 month mark. All well my end - very happy with the results. This is a selection of photos taken over the past couple of months (not for hair purposes). My hair has gotten pretty long now (final photo) but I’m planning on cutting it slightly shorter back to the length in the other photos (about an inch off the top).
  2. You can expect some further growth but I wouldn’t expect miracles. In tough cases such as yours (high Norwood/limited Donor) I would have spent the extra money and gone with a tier 1 surgeon. Of those surgeons you mentioned in your original post - Dr Bicer would have been your best bet but there are even better options out there for high Norwood cases (Dr Zarev would have been my top pick in your case). See how things develop over the next 6 months and then consider some SMP to improve density. You may still even have one bite of the cherry left and a potential 3rd transplant using the rest of your donor plus some body hair but you need to choose your surgeon wisely.
  3. As others have said. It’s hard to tell how effective the transplant has been until you grow it out. It looks like the SMP you had done previously comes down past the HT hairline….. any reason you didn’t get Yaman to drop the hairline a little lower to match. The SMP hairline also looks like it’s a bit wonky (not symmetrica). when do you plan to grow this out?
  4. That looks like excellent work. You will get a great result.
  5. Another top drawer transplant from Dr F. Regarding your density concerns - you will only achieve maximum density from a 2nd procedure. I had a 2nd procedure and it just perfects the result.
  6. Here are some pictures under the down lights in my bathroom. I will take some outdoor pictures on my next update.
  7. I started Oral Minoxidil about 3 months after my 2nd transplant. Other than that I just take vitamins.
  8. Ok so I'm now approaching the 6 month mark and all I can say is that I am VERY happy with the results. The 2nd transplant has achieved near perfect symmetry and the density is fantastic. I would recommend to anyone getting a HT to get a 2nd one because it puts the iceing on the cake.
  9. Looks like the magic is happening. Its going to be a busy few months 🌱
  10. The issue was symmetry for me. The centre point wasn't central and one side of the hairline was slightly higher than the other. The 2nd procedure has solved this issue for me and also increased density throughout so I'm very happy and I'm only around the 4 month mark so still improvements to come. I will update some better pictures next week but I took one recently which i feel shows the improvement in symmetry well (attached).
  11. 8000 graft mega session. Thats epic! I really like the hairline design and the fact he didn't go too high with it (which you usually see with high Norwoods. Looking forward to seeing the outcome. Good luck.
  12. Hello all. So I'm now just over the 2 month mark since my 2nd surgery (9 weeks to be exact). I've just had my 1st proper hair cut since the procedure so I thought I would post pics to show how things are progressing. The ugly duckling phase was very short this time because obviously I had a good base following my 1st surgery. So far I'm happy with the outcome and looking forward to it thickening up and growing nice and long again (I'm missing the long locks already!). These photos were taken in favourable lighting so bare that in mind.
  13. Looks excellent. Very densely packed. Pinto's work is fantastic. Nice hairline design too.
  14. With a similar number of grafts and a 2 phased approach (hairline and frontal 3rd, then crown 12 months later) you could have achieved a better result from a top surgeon. That being said, I would not class your result as necessarily a bad one. With a 2nd pass from a top surgeon I think you could be looking in a good position density wise.
  15. Anyone think it would be beneficial to have a beard transplant section In the forum where people could share everything beard transplant related...... - Best beard transplant doctors - Beard Transplant results - Beard transplant styles Etc etc
  16. Your hair looked pretty amazing after the first one.....I'm not seeing a great deal of difference from the 2nd but I guess its more dense in the flesh than it was previously. I've just had a 2nd pass over mine (around 1 month ago). Have you found the density has improved noticably in your case? Does the hair style better/easier as a result?
  17. Its a Big improvement from month 6 and you look like you have plenty more hairs coming through. You may just be a late bloomer.
  18. This is exactly what my surgeon told me when I asked about the possibility of squaring up my temples slightly. I'm happy with how they turned and glad I listened to his advice.
  19. My honest answer to that is "I don't know" but I would estimate half and half as a fairly accurate guess.
