  1. Yep, I posted them in my thread here. It is the most recent pics at the 1 month mark. I'm not sure if the grafts are dead because they were growing normally for the 2 weeks before the shed started and keeping pace with my normal native hair. Then they finally shed and left behind the stubble. Maybe the stubble is shedded hair that didn't fall out properly. I suppose I could check by taking a tweezer to it and seeing how easily it gives away.
  2. in for an update too, i'm in a similar situation. My stubble has been there since the day the hairs shed, It did not sprout in 'clean' areas so I doubt they're there from new grafts growing in (i'm around 6/7 weeks post op).
  3. @justgotfue is there any update? - i'm suffering from the same issue . Hair did shed, but instead of fully falling off they left behind a 'stubble'.
  4. @densedream is there any update? - i'm suffering from the same issue . Hair did shed, but instead of fully falling off they left behind a 'stubble'.
  5. oh yes, it's very very mild, just a few strays right at the hairline in the center between the eyes. Nothing cosmetically serious so i'm not too worried, and a drop in the ocean compared to the number of grafts implanted in that area so won't matter when they grow out. Though shockloss can be temporary, I'm not too worried either way if these few ones are lost permanently.
  6. 1 Month Post-Op Full on in the midst of the ugly duckling phase. Still some of the flat laying hairs to shed, but a lot of them are coming off now since I started wiping down with my towel instead of patting it dry. The flat hairs end up caught on the towel fibres and come off. I'm also seeing these black sprouts of tiny hairs all over the scalp where the old hairs have shed. Not sure, if that's because im growing early or that's how the hairs shed, leaving a little dormant base which will start growing in a few months. A bit mild shock loss of natives in the hairline I think (hoping not permanent), but my hair was quite diffuse in that area before, and this is cosmetically comparable to what I had when I shaved to this length around half a year ago, so not too worrisome.
  7. This is the hardest part, only a few months this and I'm sure you will have a great result. Quite a few people do continue shedding past the first month from what I can see so don't worry too much about it!
  8. Haha stay strong brother. Our hair will grow out just in time for the beach season (which might be on next year since we have a vaccine now!) I better start my ab workouts now
  9. Yeah, but my native hairs don't stick flat from the aloe so I feel it's something specific to the transplanted hairs. But you're right, I don't it think it's much to worry about. A lot of them are coming out now since I changed the style of drying my hair. Usually I would pat it dry but I now I dry by wiping my towel in circular motions and a lot of the flat hairs and end up being hooked on to the fibres and come off easily. Easier than plucking them one by one and ensures you don't tug on any single one too hard before its ready to come out.
  10. Looks good man! Donor looking impeccable once again 1 day post-op (especially central donor area). There's definitely something to his skills since everyone i've seen so far has the donor look pretty good afterwards from him!
  11. Only a tiny bit, as more of my minaturised hairs thickened up near my temples to provide a better 'illusion' as you put it. Probably only noticeable to afficionados on this forum as opposed to joe public. Honestly, I think regrowing hair in any significant amount on medication is for the rare few. For most of us, all they do is thicken up our minaturised hairs and perhaps add a bit of extra 'peach fuzz' for better illusion of density. If you're hoping to go down by an extra norwood you would be one of the lucky few. I believe medication regimes work best when your expectations are it halts further loss and thickens up what you have. Of course you could go the full transgender route and nuke nearly every androgenic hormone in your body for significant growth, but I have the feeling that is not what you want based on your OP
  12. I will probably switch to full-time duta, after my hair transplant matures a bit (just had it 3.5 weeks ago). Don't want to mess around with my regime yet while I wait for the HT to grow out.
  13. Yea, i use 1mg finasteride on the other days where I don't use duta. Was on pure fin 1mg a day 3/4 years before that and basically same as you. Stabillised hair loss and slight change in consistency of semen that levelled out after a while (expected because finasteride affects prostate size). Edit: yeah, the gains are good, very mild extra regrowth than fin. But I was more after stronger stabillization of my current hairs than regrowth to prepare for my hair transplant to minimize shock loss during the procedure.
  14. DHT is just one androgen. You still have testosterone (which will increase in response to the dutasteride/finasteride). On dutasteride for a few months taking it twice a week, no issues. If anything, i'm always horny as hell now because of it and the raised testosterone... could be placebo though 🧐
  15. I'm using my normal washing style now, so I don't think i'm being too gentle unless my normal style is too gentle. Little by little, more grafts are shedding everyday though. If they're still there by the 4th week i'll check in with Dr Ferreira probably.
  16. Yep, seems like it, just worries me because I haven't seen that in anyone else yet. Usually they go from facing straight up to falling off. Hoping it's not because there is something bad about my graft placement 😨
  17. Thanks, I'll try that in a few days if they're still there and don't fall out on their own. A bit hesistant to pull on my hairs still 😬 I am rubbing my scalp more normally now in the shower and they still haven't fallen out. Might need to pluck them.
  18. Post-Up Week 3 Guys, help me out here, I think i'm going a paranoid. Shedding around 50 hairs a day from the recipient area, no biggie, sheds are expected. But, a lot of the recipient grafts have suddenly started laying flat (see the close up below) around the same time the shedding started.. Before they were facing up as normal if you compare with my close up from last week. Is this a normal part of shedding? Best guess I can think of is that the graft has shed, but the hair hasn't been pushed out enough to fall off. But since it has 'detached' it no longer has the strength to support itself and falls down under pressure such as when wet or aloe applied. Maybe they'll get pushed out later and fall off in due time? Thoughts?
  19. Your grafts are mostly secure by the 7th day so go for it. Take it easy though. If you're too vigorous, your hand might slip off your bell-end and hit you in the forehead and dislodge them.
  20. You know Fin causes your test to upregulate a bit? From blocking the conversion to DHT. If anything your test will rise on Fin. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/14624915/ I'd also like to point out there is an entire category of people who get decently lean and athletic with low test. They're called women. If you can't outdo them, maybe you should reconsider your diet/training plan. Man I see natty 18 year old girls who outlift many guys in my gym... Low-test is a cop out excuse I see from many who go to the gym, but don't have their training/diet dialled in. Granted you may not be 'huge' on low-test and any woman you see that are, are likely on steroids, but getting a six-pack and looking good shirtless is well within reason for the dedicated male, low-test or not.
  21. oh, i'm not sure I understand the significance of this. Is it bad if the shedded hair are a bit bent or J-shaped? I'm at 2.5 weeks and I imagine i'm going to start shedding soon, so not sure if this is something I should look out for.
  22. Run the shower over your crust for a full 10 mins. While the it is still running, start to massage the crusty areas with your fingers. The crust will come away within a couple of minutes of massaging with your fingers as it will have heavily softened after 10 minutes of soaking.
  23. Not more than a couple of hundred I imagine, as the less conservative approach was just to fill in the temples a tad (like half a centimeter more?) so that it sits more straight/flush with the lowest point of the hairline (but still slightly recessed). Like the below pic. I personally prefer my jude law-esque recessed temple look (first few pictures in this thread!), I just wanted less thinning and the temples ever so slightly filled, so I decided against the more lowered temples. Who knows, I may actually end up getting greedy and asking for that half-centimeter during a follow up procedure
