  1. I'm hearing some really good reviews for Regenepure. Definitely in consideration
  2. Hey guys, I am just over 3 weeks post op and can finally transition into my normal hair wash routine. I never really gave any thought to my shampoo prior to the transplant, but now I want to be more cognizant of what I wash with. I must say tho, with all the decisions out there, picking a shampoo is tough. And honestly im feeling pretty overwhelmed right now As far are what I am looking for... I am an every-other-day hair washer. So I am looking for a product that will allow me to do so, containing gentle ingredients. My hair is not over oily nor do I have any dandruff/ itchiness issues. My hair is straight. And I guess, for lack of a better term, is probably best described as normal. What I am not looking for... I don't really care about the shampoos claiming hair growth. Most of these contain a topical DHT inhibitor. I already take finasteride daily, so I don't know how effective they would be in my situation. Also, from the reviews I've been seeing, these shampoos don't seem to meet the claim. Also, im not interested in volumizers So far I am most intrigued be tree tea shampoos. Anyone with experience using these? If not, any suggestions on a shampoo that will work well for me? I apologize if I did not supply enough information. This topic is pretty foreign to me
  3. Thanks for the advise guys. Had a very productive hair wash session today!
  4. Thanks. That's what I thought Just wondering tho. In case anyone knows. What is the advantage of messaging them out, versus letting them come out naturally? Is it bacterial/ hygiene related?
  5. Hey all, I am now 17 days post op. According to my instructions, (starting several days ago) during my daily hair washes I should be actively going into the recipient area loosening and getting rid of the crusting- either by gently massaging with my fingertips or with a sponge. I stopped this after the 1st day (1 think 3 days ago) bc I found it too nerve wracking. Afraid that I may accidently pull out graphs and ruin some of the procedure. How important is it to get rid of the crusting? Currently, I am very conservative for my daily hair washes. I simply just pat the shampoo in the graph areas and rinse. I definitely still have some crusting, but my technique (although conservative) seems to be pretty effective at removing crusts. And additionally, I am not experiencing any scalp discomfort, irritation. or itchiness in the graph area. So I am wondering if I can just stick to this conservative hair washing technique, and let the crusting come out naturally.
  6. Hey guys, first time visiting this message board. It seems like a great community. I ran into an issue today, and I hope I can get advise. I am now 10 days post HT. The instructions of my surgeon were to alternate shampoos (starting day 2 post op)- a medicated (antimicrobial) shampoo with a shampoo of my choice. For the later, the surgeon recommended Head and shoulders! So for the past week Ive been alternating daily with these 2 shampoos. I have came across several posts today claiming that both these shampoos are way too harsh for new graphs. I am now wondering if I should switch head and shoulders for a baby shampoo. As of right now, I havent noticed any visible signs of damaged graphs from shampooing, but I don't want to risk this going forward. Any advice? I am very new to this procedure. So I don't know if I am overreacting
