Here is how it looks now. It's been 5 months and 5 days. I colored my hair.  I would say I am happy with the results. I think it looks natural, as no one was able to figure out I had a transplant. However, I did expect a bit more density.  Not a big deal.

As I remember it, the e-medical visa is enough, however, I did get a letter from Eugenix which I submitted to get the e-visa that spoke about me getting a hair transplant with them- this was to aid with the visa process, which only took 1-2 days to get approved.

To get into India- you need your passport, e-visa and you will be required to fill out a form online called Air Suvidha which is related to your covid vaccination status- if no vaccine, then you will be required to have a negative PCR test within 72 hours before departure.

    Hope this helps!

    thanks SLA.

I have fam in a different city in India asking me to bring things.. how annoying/strict are they in bothering and checking baggages? I was gonna just bring a hand carry at first but fam is annoying me to bring food/clothes

Bandit and Etwan had very similar balding, but quite differences HT procedures. Etwan choses to do the entire scalp and then add density as needed later.

Meanwhile Bandit, with about the same number of grafts, chose to not touch crown until the second round.

Which of these two approaches will have the best outcome?

    I have no idea....

Yeah at first I scoffed at Bandit's plan. But now the more I think of it, the better it sounds.

I wonder what I should do as a NW6.. maybe go Bandit's route?

Kind of like dealing with current balding crown, and then filling it later

I went on medical visa, but VFS said this time, i was supposed to have a medical letter from a UK Doctor in addition the Eugenix one (they did let me off with this, after a bit of debate). They said it would be much easier if I just went through a Tourist visa.

So we have to bring the Eugenix letter with us? the emedical visa isnt enough?

    One month update:

Hi everyone. With the majority of the shedding behind me, I’m officially in the ugly phase heading into month 2. The biggest change this time around is the addition of oral minoxidil.

As a reminder, I'm taking Dutasteride once a week, Finasteride 6 days a week, and just started 2.5mg of Oral Minoxidil daily. I will soon switch to 1.25mg of oral minoxidil during the day and 5% topical minoxidil at night once I feel my scalp is ready at the 5 or 6 week mark.

Everything seems pretty normal this time around. Much cleaner scalp all around comparatively to my 1st procedure. Just some minor redness right at the hairline which is to be expected.

I've listed my current daily supplement stack for the hair. Only new additions are NAC and Pea Protein.

Benefits of NAC for the hair: Helps remove free radicals and toxins that prevent healthy tissue growth. Helps also to regrow nerves attached to the bulb of the hair, as well as detoxifying the scalp overall.

Benefits of Protein Powder for the hair: Very hard to get enough protein in your regular diet, so adding a little more protein in powder form is the best way to meet that requirement. Hair is made up of protein, and a deficiency may lead to premature shedding. Having high amounts of protein on a regular basis can extend the anagen growth phase of the hair. Also, post transplant, more protein does help assist quite a bit in wound healing.

    Daily dosages:

    Collagen - 12g

    Hyaluronic Acid - 200mg

    D3 - 5000 IU

    MSM - 1000mg

    Beef Liver capsules - 1500mg

    Omega 3 (Fish Oil) - 3750mg

    Pea Protein - 33g

    NAC - 1200mg

    Niacin - 500mg

Protein is also good to build lean muscle ;)

I am also planned to have a HT (NW 6) in Jan but not planning to take fin due to side effects. Is it even the right choice to have a HT if we dont plan to take fin. Thoughts are appreciated

Nice! Which clinic are you going to?

That's totally understandable regarding fin, but just keep in mind that your native hairs may be at risk to going, and you may require a touch up or two later on if that does happen. (so hope you have a good donor- beard, chest, etc). Without taking fin, you may need to use fibres, but to answer your question, I absolutely think it's worth it.

While I am planning on getting on fin after 3 years, I am happy because I have good donor hair- beard, and chest. I would be so happy for them to use my body hair as I was so conscious about it growing up lol

I believe @Melvin- Moderatoralso wasn't on any pills and he used concealers and fibres. I think he stated he will be on topical fin though.

Will you get your crown done too?

    And what is BW?

    Hey Xanadu,

I'll ask Dr Bansal when we go over the face to face pre op. I prefer doing it, but if she feels I should hold off, I'll defer to her expertise.

BW is short for bloodwork. Im not sure if that's the official abbreviation, I was just too lazy to type it all out ahah

All the best @BaldingEagle1. You've done well to hold off by doing your research. I look forward to following your progress and thanks for sharing mate!

Thank you @Gatsby! I agree 100% about doing research before you just go in. I wanted to make sure my first one was at a good spot. and if I just do the top 3rd and have to do the crown later, as long as the hairline is done by Dr Arika, I can be satisfied.

  10. I was hoping I could get my crown done there too and just knock it out in one sitting. I’ll speak to dr Bansal when I do get there.

I don’t take any pills currently, and most likely won’t take fin as the wife and I are planning on having 2 kids within 3 years. So let’s see how that plays out.

I do plan on taking rogaine though.
