One option would be to wear a hat or a beanie - if you feel like that suits you and won't bring more attention to yourself. Otherwise, I think the only other option would be to just embrace it and remind yourself that there's a very good chance nobody will notice anything... And even if they do, they likely won't think anything of it?

The general consensus around here from those of us who are on the other side of being out in the world during the ugly ducking phase is that it never seems to be as big of a deal in reality as it does in our anxious minds.

And for what it's worth, your scalp doesn't look that alarming in the photos you posted!

The talk of the party is my HT lol.. thats the issue right there.

  2. Hey all,

How long post HT do you guys use topical minox?

Also is there a particular brand that you use?

    Or is Rogaine the best?

@BaldingEagle1 I went with the Exclusive Package with Dr. Das that was the best choice for me. I'm not sure if I've mentioned it yet but your thread was also very helpful in making my choice. Obviously end results are not there yet but they are for others and in evaluating patient experience and overall your trip  and your thread was really great! So thanks man!

Thanks man, that’s why I made it. Tried making it as detailed as possible. I know I was looking for those when I was searching haha

nice! For my crown I’ll probably be going that route too via Dr Das!

  4. So its been 3 weeks for me.

Got a nice message from Eugenix to send some pics.

Feedback is that hair growth is good. I should experience shedding phase which lasts until 90 days of surgery. I have been shedding like maybe 10-15 hairs in shower when I apply shampoo for the past 2 days. Nothing drastic.

But everything is going smoothly, I guess. Will post pics at the 1 month mark.

No fin yet, not sure when to start Topical Minoxidal (Rogaine) or if there is a better topical minox, please let me know..

No vitamins either, just eating my usual high protein diet which I guess gives me enough Biotin.

Late 20s I would say. Diffuse thinner. Found out about HTs on Instagram- sigh. Didn’t start taking fin until after the HT - had sides so stopped and severely thinned out over the next 2 years. I’ve seen it time and time again on reddit- a young person posts a seemingly good result after 9 months and comments how they don’t take Fin and how it’s not necessary bcus the hairs are non DHT resistant blah blah and everyone in the comments praises them. Then they end up here 3 years later seeking advice after thinning or losing hair behind the transplanted zone. It’s a dangerous cycle. When approaching hair restoration you have to be prepared to plan for the future and play the long game especially if you are young.

What if ur 36 like me lmao

csn I do rogaine and take fin after 2 years since I’m planning a kid :(

Maybe the guy from India could have been helped or guided to choose a better clinic/Dr, but I cannot agree at all about the other person who has BDD, that needs medial support and professional help. As good as this community can be with help/support/guidance it does have its limits. I disagree with this statement.

I would say his support system could've and should've done a better job. I know my friends get ruthless with these types of things.. its a sad story, but information and medical help would've played a par in avoiding this, but no matter what help or info you get, if your friends rip on you for a bad HT constantly,  no amount of counseling can repair your fractured confidence. And Im very thick skinned, but I could see my whole world get shattered by that.

Hey thank you a lot 🙏 I understand your concern, I don’t wanna sound arrogant, anything can happen, but I’m on a high level, I can do handstands on one arm and wouldn’t even be afraid to do it on the end of a roof top. So my main fear is not to bump the head, but the blood pressure in the head.

Hey if youre confident you wont hit your head or fall to the floor with an impact, then thats good!

I play volleyball and american football. I started playing volleyball, but laying off of footbal until maybe 4-6 weeks.

Only been 2 weeks post for me.

The crown if completely gone needs much more skill and you need somebody who absolutely knows how to make the most of each graft for coverage.

The temple points imo are probably on par with the crown in terms of complexity even if you can get away with using less grafts there than the crown for coverage due to the spiral shape of the crown.

Anybody that thinks it requires less skill doesn't have a clue and is very much the type to end up at hair mills and not know what a natural hairline requires.

Do you think dr das would be capable of that?

debating about going with her for crown this time 🧐🧐

    Incredible early results.

Yup. I do think the hair will shed so definitely not getting too excited about it..

I expect it to shed but would be glad if I’m one of the few who are able to skip it ;)

really confident in my choice. I am glad I got educated on worst case scenario items including shock loss. So I’m just chillin as worried free as I can be with a boost in my confidence. And I’m sure once my crown gets done, it’ll shoot up the confidence factor even more so!

It's 4.5€ per graft so I invested a lot on my Hair Transplant adventure with Dr Couto!
What I was certain is one thing, that if I was gonna spend good money for a hair transplant, I wanted to choose the best doctor in the world, I was ready to go wherever with whoever ... my investment in Couto is giving me HUGE returns  and could not be happier.

    Worth every penny. Amazing!!!
