Since you had only 1 FUT I would be optimistic getting big FUE session. At HDC clinic we specializes with candidates that had FUTs before, we also had candidates that had 2-3 FUTs with much bigger scars and the clinic managed to have a big FUE sessions. I had side effects from the oral Finasteride that hurt my libido, so I switched to topical Finasteride 1% mixed with Minoxidil 5% formula without side effects over 2 years, as a patient coordinator of a clinic I can tell it's very rare I hear about side effects complaints from candidates and our patients.

I'm sure 99% he had hair transplant over the hairline around very early 2000's. I don't think Arnold Schwarzenegger had a job, it's more diffused thinning of elder men, but still he looks amazing in great shape.

Yup I agree, crown is too early to have a procedure now.

If it's thin enough a surgeon can go deep til the crown without hurting native hairs with bigger session, but we need more photos including the donor for estimation

Thin donor but can get 3500 grafts for 1st session. Seems you'll be NW6 in the future, so the surgeon must preserve your donor for 2nd procedure in further years. Hairloss meds can help a lot.

I vote both @Gatsby and @A_4_Archan for their support and knowledge. I wish this community will expand and reach the mainstream as possible to educate for top surgeons and avoid low cost clinics, too many people including myself been botched severely over the years and the public must be alert and know how to approach hair transplant clinics, I have been a member since 2019 and this forum helped me a lot when I did my research for my repair.

HDC stopped doing FUTs since 2011, we don't see any benefits over FUE. The downside side of FUT that you can't be selective with which grafts you want to extract especially with limited donors of diffused candidates, it takes a lot of experience to handle carefully candidates with natural depleted diffused patterns. If he'll have a 3rd FUE with us, I assume Dr. Christina will approach his donor like she handled my donor on my 3rd session with HDC, meaning she'll punch with more "esoteric" areas, like near letral humps, behind ears, beard again of course, ect.. We always reserve this areas just in case of last resorts for the future. If you'll check other other results, you'll find we did many cases with weak and diffused donors successfully with FUE only.

@zweistein, thank you for your praises, it was very challenging but Dr. Christina achieved the result we aimed for, congrats! @Melvin- Admin, we told he can have 3rd FUE, I assume the scalp bank has 2000+- grafts. yet the patient is still on his 20's so maybe it's better to wait longer, because the donor had natural diffused pattern, Dr. Christina was very picky which grafts to use. @Jackdaniels, if you'll zoom the photo of FUE1 session, you'll see smaller diameters of the hairline incisions made of single grafts compared to the incisions behind the hairline, additionally the transplanted hair is soft as should for a hairline.

You'll need at least 6000 grafts to cover everything, there's is not enough photos of scalp and beard donor to review the quality and quantity of your donor if you're eligible for giga session over 5000 grafts in a single visit without overharvesting it. Since your letral humps looks narrow in the photo, I assume your scalp donor can at least have 4000 grafts in single session, if the beard is good you can have 5000+ grafts to gain great coverage in a single visit. You're very good candidate with good heslthy donor without aggressive hairloss for your age, seems like 2800-3000 grafts will give you high density result for your frontal area. Meds like Finasteride and Minoxidil can benefit, I myself prefer topical formulas.

Yes with high ethical doctor. Right now will be smart to do a detailed research and avoid cheap mills from Turkey.

Thank you, but this candidate doesn't need HT, it's way too early and only will cause him damages especially if he will do this in a cheap hair mill, afro procedures are the most demanding.

You're NW6 with some hairs which will fall in further years, your donor is limited but may achieve realistic result if you'll use Minoxidil and Finasteride, then you can consider doing 2 HTs, 1st with around 3000-3500 grafts for frontal area, 2nd procedure for top area with small touch to the top crown.

We need more photos for better assessment. From first glance minimum 3500 grafts for frontal area to achieve high density result, you have a great donor.
