some of my photos got corrupted unfortunately :(

I'll try to correct them with some help from admin if possible

But in the meantime I want to share my 4month update!

So far I've been back to my usual no real limitations

still using oral min & topical fin
To me I think there is progress and growth, and if I had to shave my head clean from where it is now I think with the framing of my hairline and the transplanted hairs I would be fine and happy with it push come to shove

Hairline has been strengthened, crown (even though we used less grafts in the crown that originally intended, I think we have progress), all donor areas fully recovered to the point I should probably cut it!

I know photos can only show so much - and personally I think I look pretty janky in photos so I try to avoid them - I am really digging my transplant. Although the end result isn't complete, I am seeing the foundation of success and Dr Bisanga + team's vision for the transplant and it makes me positive for the next few months and beyond

    Happy growing everyone!

All looking good at this stage. Time to be patient. You still have lots of months of hair growing and strengthening.

And your donor looks impeccable. Thanks for sharing.

I am trying to prepare what to say to Dr. Zarev.

I am not aiming for perfect coverage, I do not have the grafts for that. I am now looking to claw my way back to have a naturally thinning hair.

I wonder whether just taking care of the top/sides/ridges would make the crown look less unnatural?

Thanks @shadowcast. While the points made by others regarding the edges being thinner is correct, I just wonder whether they are saying this from a coverage aspect of naturaleness aspect.

I am trying to assess the naturalness of the results so as to know whether to wear a hat during next semester when I will be teaching a large class.

That crown is looking superb @Prof101 quite an improvement there!

If I were you I would just go back with Dr Couto to finish the sides/ridges.

However, since you were traveling to Bulgaria... How was your consultation with Dr Zarev? How is he in person one on one? What was his assessment on your current HT evolution and your future possible HT with him? Could he do BHT? How many grafts he prospected to get from your donor?

After extensive research, video watching and reviews I gathered the injections will hurt. The rest will be fine and I could even fall asleep. I’ve many tattoos so I was genuinely excited on the day of my opp. Absolutely no nerves.

is it just me that found it horrific?

lay on a massage table for 6 hours. My shoulders ached as they were locked into awkward positions. My jaw felt as though is was bruising as it was pressed against the hard cushion. I often got hot, being sat in the same position but not wanting to wriggle around, caused me to feel more flustered.

the natural bruising of the head and burn of all the local they gave me very much come to the surface in the final hour or two. And with two surgeons picking away at your scalp whilst feeling all of the above; in the knowledge you’ve at least 90 minutes left was mentally, tough.

I don’t know if I should have just asked for more local throughout and was trying to take on more pain than was necessary? The pinch and sharpness of those jabs to numb you is a straight up 8/9 out of 10. Whilst they only hurt for 4 or 5 seconds, you do have about 30 through the surgery, of which you can feel at least 15 of them good and proper.

I need a second FUE, and knew this before my appointment. But I’m genuinely considering leaving my bald patch and just having a buzz cut to show off my new hairline without the need to continue.

Wow! Sorry to hear about this experience. But not that many people have talked about this like you. Maybe you could have a lot of sensitivity?

What was the clinic? How many grafts? Could you even share your case with pre and post photos?
