@Melvin-Moderator my doctor treated me with acell. If after a year, I am still left with some light scar, can I do acell once again over the scar, so that it becomes even lighter scar? Or is there a time beyond which getting more injections of acell won’t make difference?

I had a surgery on dec 21. I wore a n95 mask, it did not cause any issues.

I just had a fut, I am copy some contents, Use a surgical sponge to lather up some Johnson baby shampoo, then squeeze the soapy water onto transplanted area being careful not to directly touch the sponge on the transplanted site. Gently rinse off with cold to lukewarm water using a cup to pour over the area. Be gentle when rinsing as the grafts can dislodge.then allow area to air dry.do not pat dry. Hair wash should only be 5 to 10 minute long.

I am taking medication (finasteride and minoxidil). I myself feel that 25% of grafts have shed. So i agree with your assessment, hair from safe donor is also affected by bald gene to some extent. I plan to do acell or prp every year to maintain the hair, apart from medication.

I have a surgery coming up next week, wanted to check with the doctor about this Vitalise Wound Care Spray, but the front desk did not convey that information to doctor. They said its not necessary and they don't recommend. I have got hair transplant 3 times, first time with fue 70 to 80% planted hair survived after 2 weeks. I was spraying liposomal spray or something at that time. I was hoping to not shed hair this time after transplant. In a video I watched, one 60 year old guy said he is so positive, hair did not shed for him after transplant.

If I ever run into that situation again, will bribe the nurse by paying some money to plant the grafts. I will take some cash to give as tip to them if I see them stretching into night.

Is spraying saline water on recipient area for every 2 hours for approximately 7 days is right thing to do? I have done multiple hair transplants. So I asked the doctor who did the latest hair transplant if I should do that as it was recommended by previous doctor he was totally against it and said it could have adverse result.

I have paid 1000$ booking fee in a clinic in bay area. They say the wait time is 8 months. I was norwood 6 bald to begin with. My first 2 hair transplants done in India were failures. Only around 800 to 1000 hairs regrew out of 2 transplants.

Hi All, I need additional 4000 grafts to cover my mid scalp and crown. I have almost exhausted my scalp donor hairs with 3 prior hair transplants. Dr Diep says possibly 2000 can be extracted from scalp using FUT. I am thinking of using 2000 beard grafts from Dr Sanusi Umar and so I plan to have hair transplant with both doctors in next 4 months. I plan to cover mid scalp from Dr Diep and crown from Sanusi Umar. I had prior hair transplant with Dr Diep and got decent results. Six months ago I booked date with Dr Diep and deposited 1000$ and my hair transplant is scheduled in March 2019. Dr Diep also does not do beard to scalp transplant. So is my plan acceptable to both doctors or will I be annoying them. I plan not to give consent to both doctors to use my result and thereby avoid any conflict.

Hi Melvin, I am planning to address my crown in next 6 months. But I don't have too much donor hairs. I am looking for beard as donor. Dr Diep told me he can get 1000 grafts max from scalp.

I am attaching 3 photos before my hair transplant with Dr Diep. 2 of them are a day before transplant.

I am taking daily finasteride 1 mg and rogaine 5%. I used rogaine daily in the initial four months of transplant but nowadays my hair has grown longer and I have been irregular in using rogaine. But in last 2 months I am losing every day around 5 to 10 transplanted hairs especially while combing and applying rogaine. I believe Dr Diep and other 2 doctors used donor hairs from Safe zone, so I am surprised by my hair loss. Is it normal to lose hair after it has regrown?

I am 34 years old and I did my 3rd hair transplant of 3300 grafts with Dr John Diep on Aug 25 2017. I am a norwood 6 bald. My first 2 hair transplants done in India resuted in very poor density and I had poor hair growth. So Dr Diep suggested FUT as I can get more coverage. Dr Diep designed my forehead to have greater density. My transplant started around 7 in morning. I was sedated and woke up only to have lunch and fell asleep again. My transplant completed around 7 in the night. Dr Diep gave acell injection. My prior hair transplant were 2000 FUE in oct 2015 from Dr Dinesh Gowda. Second was for 2700 FUT and 1100 FUE from Dr Mysore Venkat. I have attached pics just after the transplant and six month result.

Anybody know if his treatment can increase hair in crown region? I have some tiny hairs which are regrowing after I am taking finasteride from last 18 months.

I had Mega hair transplant with Dr Venkatram Mysore in Oct 2016. He said he planted over 4400 grafts (FUT - 2700 , FUE - 1100, BHT - 660. The result is very poor growth. I got 40% growth in FUT, 15% growth in FUE, 0 % growth in BHT. The scar resulting from FUT is minimal and FUE is negligent. I paid close to $5500. I am now depleted with donor hair, only some expert in Body hair transplant can bring me out from norwood 5 to norwood 2 or 3 level. I can now truly understand why he does not provide results in his website.
