  1. Thanks for the reassurance ! This is why this forum is great.
  2. At the risk of being redundant, i must say you are a lucky guy having both the top HT surgeons in this country hands down perform your HT! ...I can say that from experience bc i spoke to Dr Konior in length about having my HT, and that Dr Gable actually performed it! Your result is outstanding givin the amount of bare scalp in front and the low number of grafts! Do you remember exactly when you saw your 1st growth? Iam closing in on 3 months (on March 11 2018) and still havent seen anything. Contrats! also are you taking meds? Fin? iam sure your are VERY happy...
  3. i thought they all or most fell out around day 10...crazy...when i saw this i really thought the worst like the transplants died or something awful...
  4. I did have a considerable amount of shock loss of my native hair in the front...in fact i have less hair now than i did b4 the procedure, but im thinking they are transplants due to the small size. The rest of my native hair is nearly 2" long ...these are tiny stubble like if you just shaved your face....some even just tiny black specs? if you look closely at the pic... My logic is that if this was shock loss coming back...then why would it fall out again? At any rate, i hope your right as i considered the same thing. Just strange bc i literally test my hair every single day to see if im having fall out, by running the fingers through every morning of the sink, and then again while i shampoo....everyday since HT (and initial shed) NOTHING...not even 1 hair until the past few days, and then yesterday they just rained down...(as per picture) . You can see they are very small stubble. So ill stay optimistic, and assume this is the beginning of the new growth cycle....just in time for spring lol Thanks guys!
  5. ... had my HT (2500 fue) about 10 weeks ago. Experienced the shedding of the transplanted grafts around the 10th day after....im now closing in on 3 months, when things should start happening, and ive noticed small stubble from the recipient area in the sink the last week or so ( 4 or 5 hairs).. but then today i ran my fingers thru the front recipient area and small stubble just rained down into the sink...more like 50-100 hairs. Is it normal to have a 2nd shed around the 3 month mark? I know these are the transplanted graft hairs bc they are tiny stubble...(about 1/8" )the rest of my hair has grown back at this point and is over 1" long now at least so its not native hair. This has me worried, as i was not told anything about a 2nd shed....any input would be appreciated.
  6. absolutely outstanding results..your journey is what brought me to pull the trigger 2 months ago.....amazing how much donor you must have?!?!?!
  7. I eat coconut oil every morning but never put it on my scalp lol....yeah i think the itching is the follicles pushing through the surface of the skin....Also yeah feeling is slowly coming back to my scalp (recipient area) prob about 85% now. I will post pics on my post at the 2 month mark. about 5 days from now. Feels good knowing the best is yet to come, and the worst is behind.
  8. looks like some early growth, thats gr8. Im getting the same, very itchy all the time. Alot of tingling. I have ingrown hair bump, and pimples all over. Very good sign!
  9. My recipient area is always itchy...and tingling. Maybe nerves returning, or maybe hair ready to sprout who knows. Also getting alot of pimples in both areas. Donor /Recipient
  10. looks par for the course, ill be 2 months 2/11...are you tanning? if so not a good idea from what the Doc says.
  11. isn't that what we are all doing? Pretty much the definition of a HT, is choosing to having more hair NOW in the youthful years vs later when it wont matters as much...not to mention the only other option is what? Staying bald now as opposed to then? Iam perplexed by your logic. If the transplanted hair grows over both areas who cares if the scalp is discolored? its not permanent, and now you have hair...again...perplexed... I think your right, your expectations are off the charts, you sound like you are complaining about looking better than you would have had you not done an HT....??? I think your logic and concerns stem from the same depression and inability to cope, and have little to do with the actual procedure... I think you should post these pics of scaring and plucked chicken look, so we can see. I've never heard of this with any other HT patients That's the idea! what other choice did you have???
  12. do you have pics...im not making the connection here.???
  13. Rogaine gave me heart palpitations too....but iam confused why would you say you regret a HT as result of hair loss drugs? People are doing HT's like myself without ANY hair loss medication or chemicals. Did you have a bad HT?
  14. I agree....IMO its a gamble, like flipping a coin. I developed a 'strange" condition after only 2 months. Although i didn't experience ED or sexual sides (aside from loosing morning wood) in the short time i was on, i did start getting itchy and breaking out in hives....this lasted for months after stopping (4 months now) and iam only now managing symptoms. After insane amount of research, ive settled on (although not diagnosed) a mast cell issue, where iam now histamine intolerant....Its like being allergic to everything you eat. Never had one allergy my entire life, coincidence ? i guess ill never know for sure. But the only thing that changed in my life was taking Fin.
  15. If you are referring to my results (on only 1.25 ed month 1 then eod month 2) i welcome you to visit my results in only 2 months. I assure you my findings are accurate. I went into using Fin, well educated and literally kept a daily log of everything that i experienced. Again...this is after only 2 months. Nothing "anecdotal" about it... http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/188196-finasteride-3-month-results.html
  16. ill ck it out....yeah mine is looking just about the same man....getting pimples all over, tingling sensation every nite....hoping its all a sign that everything is about to sprout and GROW!
  17. Did he tell you how many grafts per / sq inch he packed?
  18. Early growth would be a great sign! Yeah Konior & Gable are the best in the country IMO Dr. G spoke alot to me of their friendship and working relationship during my visit for my procedure, and he sounds like a very ethical surgeon for sure.
  19. Thanks man. All my faith is in Dr. G going thru this phase...I agree 9 out of 10 of these stories has a happy ending and im hoping im one of them for sure...
  20. (1 MONTH) POST HT Today. Made it to 1 month, time goes by pretty quick. Donor area has fully healed, no pain...getting some pimples in both the donor area and the recipient areas. Recipient area still has significant redness and also is still slightly numb. I get a tingly sensation the past week or so at night laying in bed, maybe the nerves just returning or follicle activity?..hoping the latter... I know its early on, and at the risk of sounding redundant, iam very concerned about shock loss. The pics are in full day light outside, and i have a lot less hair on the top of my head then when i started, and it worries me...its more thin than before the procedure for sure. Other than that the shedding is over, the recipient area looks as it should at this stage, and i may get a hair cut at this point. Fingers crossed for alot of good growth (including my native shock loss) I will post in a month or so. thanks for the kind words and encouragement
  21. Same here. I eat completely organic / grass fed / free range, even grow a lot of my own produce most of the year!~ I reluctantly tried Fin last July for about 3 months, and it really worked great i saw results very quickly, but developed this "condition" as i call it as i really don't know what it is...Suddenly out of no where had an allergic reaction to pretty much everything i ate. Making a very long story /journey short.. I cant say for sure if it was Fin, but i have a Histamine Intolerance now that iam left with. I eat clean, run everyday, and take alot of high end supplements. I stopped Fin / minoxidil and decided to do the HT, without any Rx or Chemicals, (other than Rivivogen shampoo), and let the chips fall where they may...
  22. Thanks for the positive words, during the not-so-positive time of a HT. Iam hoping for the best...I said to myself from the beginning when i decided to move fwd, I cant come out of this any worse than i started, so i hope iam right about that....Iam 49 now, 50 this coming Sept. when i should see about 90% growth i would think....
