  1. Wow this is incredible more so given that it’s only 2k grafts. Also goes to show that good density (and of course in the hands of a skilled surgeon) can be achieved without shaving the recipient. Did he have grafts put in the crown as well - looks like he did. Are you able to provide a break down of how / where the grafts were placed?
  2. Hi all, I’ve finally been able to book my 3rd HT with Dr Sever and Hattingen Hair in Dec. Just wanted to say thank you to everyone that has spoken so highly of him and for some of the reassurances. Thanks to all of those folks I’ve reached out to in private and given me a lot of information and reassured me even further. Slightly excited i must say!! 🙂
  3. Hang in there matey, shed phase is awful but you’ll be through it very soon. Keep positive!
  4. Thank you @Melvin- Admin @ScottishGuy21 this gives me a lot of reassurance. Many thanks
  5. Thanks mate, I’m glad to hear that. Puts my mind at ease
  6. So I’ve been in touch with Hattingen and Dr Sever and they have a spot available at the beginning of Dec which is great as this is around the time i would want to do it. I have no doubt that Dr Sever and his team are awesome and from what i have seen on YouTube and read on this forum their results are super. Still a slight amount of nerves i guess (not sure why given i have had two HTs already). I think my nerves are mainly around : staples and the 2 weeks after the HT and just how uncomfortable are they? I had sutures previously. Do they leave the “train track” marks? Its only a 2500-3000 FUT so shouldn’t be too much swelling (not that i got any with the previous FUTs) but it was a different doc, is that the right expectation to have? Always happy to hear anyone’s thoughts / views / opinions on any of the above. If anything just tell me that Dr Sever is awesome and you will be in the right hands!
  7. @Trobs4 did you manage to get in touch with Hattingen?
  8. Hi friend, i tried the HIMS version of topical finasteride and Minox for about a month, applied it once daily at night. On day 2 of applying it i felt some sides but carried on with it hoping things would stop. Unfortunately, didn’t stop after a month and gave it up. I agree with the above it is messy and can be a bit of a pain in the ar$e to apply. Anyhow, i guess it depends on the individual. I’m now taking 0.5mg oral finasteride and so far i seem to react better. To answer your questions, i dont think there is a right or wrong answer it would probably depend on how your body reacts to it. Stay in touch with your prescriber and tell them if you feel any sides, is my advice.
  9. I’m in discussions with them and have been in reasonable dialog with them for the last month. From my most recent interaction with the clinic i can tell you they seem to be solidly booked this side of Xmas but have openings starting mid Jan. I initially had trouble uploading my photos on their website so emailed the general email address and Dr Sever emailed back within a day or so asking for pictures. I’ve had two skype consults with him. He’s a very good guy and tells you how it is. Very re-assuring!
  10. Dr K’s work is just on another level!! Love his cleanliness I’m sure this is going to be an awesome result!
  11. @Trobs4 If you are looking at FUT you should also consider Hattingen. I would say they are just as good as Dr Wong. @ScottishGuy21 & @GeneralNorwood are you both Hattingen patients?
  12. We have had a mini heat wave here in the UK and temperatures were above 30 degrees. Had no issues with oral Minox at all. Interested to know the concern behind the question?
  13. Both are very good. Just an FYI pinto is not taking on patients at the moment.
  14. How reliable is this place? Bit concerned it’s completely different brand that I’m used to.
  15. I agree with the above. You need a Eugenix, Pittella, Hattingen, H&W type clinic that can extract a good amount of grafts to cover your scalp.
  16. De Freitas does some great hairline work. Checked most of his videos on YouTube and they done come better than him.
  17. Hi guys, just wondering where ppl from the UK purchase oral Minox from in the UK. I previously have been getting from UKhairmeds which was recommended by one of Bisanga’s advisors and they are around £250 for 6 months supply. Just wondering if there are other cheaper options?
  18. Time is money my friend. But i do find it odd that most offer free consults.
  19. Wow this is outstanding! Cooley is a magician!!
  20. You chose a great doctor in Dr Cooley! He and his team are awesome people!! Looking forward to seeing your progress.
  21. Are you guys who take these vitamins seeing any growth / reduction in hair loss? What is D3? And what dosage of biotin do you take?
  22. Unbelievable result! Zarev is definitely top notch and has done wonders with your case. Well done in selecting and also getting a date with him! Lol! Guys wait list is crazy. I managed to get in touch with his office and his current wait time for a consult is 2026 eek.
  23. This looks amazing!! Very pleased for you!! I’m considering a 3rd HT with Hattingen as well. Wish there were more patients posting their experiences on here (unless I’m not searching correctly). @Scalpion are you open for a chat?
  24. Mate I’m in the UK as well and dont bother with Boots. Don’t bother with HIMS either, they’re a subscription service and customer service is just awful. So avoid them. As one other has said, you can get it from Amazon. If you are considering Minox maybe consider the oral version. Topical you have to apply twice and can be a ‘ball ache’. You can try a 2.5mg dosage to begin with and build up after a month or so (just another alternative option but obviously check with you doc and the providers).
