  1. I had something similarish. Month after fue had a square bald spot about 3cm by 3cm. It eventuallu grew back after few more months and looks normal now same as pre surgery. Hope that helps.
  2. Bro you need to relax and just give it time. Watch in 3 month you won't be able to see it and your driving yourself crazy worrying about nothing. Your hair will grow long enuff in another month you won't see it then the shockloss will come back in another month or 2 hopefully. Just wear a hat for now. It's normal for shock loss to happen in such a tight area. Theirs alot of trauma. Your getting ahead of yourself thinking how to fix it and what doctor you need 1 month in. Reevaulute at 3months and 6months
  3. Don't over think it yet way too early to worry. All you can do is give it time either way can't change anything. What's done is done. Just wear a hat for now and apply minoxidil daily and let you hair grow out to cover it for now. Give it time prolly 2 more month you will be fine. I had much worse donor shockloss and it has gotten better. Im in month 3. I have it in recipient area that is slower to come back so far
  4. Its ok man, you made the decision you thought was best at the time and could have turned out good too. Their are people that pay 10x what you did and end up in same boat at least you have money to get a 2nd ht to try and get a better outcome this time. Good luck on growing this time.
  5. Everyone says this but how on earth can the donor area take 1 year to heal cosmetically.is their any patience review threads you can link that show shockloss that has recovered past month 6
  6. To me you look fine in the pics man. Your 38 and you hair is better than avg person your age. I mean if your deadset to get a transplant I recommend going for a minimum of 3 consultations to hear what the doctors feel about your case. Make sure you pic doctors that are Reputable and have to experience. The iahrs website is a good start along with personal customer reviews here. Would you be willing to try finansteride for a year to see how you respond.
  7. my opinion is you should get on finasteride and minoxidil and see if non surgical methods work first. their are potential risk of doing this the biggest would be permanent shockloss of your existing hair since your transplanting into area that already has bunch of hair. its supposedly a low risk but youll end up worse if it happens that before. surgery should be your last option try non invasive stuff first. your hair look good imo your over thinking it. also lets be real man you wont be bald in a few years that unreasonable assumption. if you were going to be nw 6 or 7 you would be their before 38. you prolly have a very minimal progression of mpb for your age. mpb can halt or slow down so just because you lose some hair doesnt mean your destine to be slick bald. people can bald to norwood 3,4,5 and stop their. if you had a aggro form of mpb youll know it long before your 38th birthday
  8. Is the last picture from months ago or right after hair cut 10 days earlier
  9. You sure your not touching a pimple or ingrown hair since it's on your crown you might not be able to see clearly
  10. All those blocks of text but no resolution. Doesn't matter what happened it matters what we can do moving forward Are you going to refund some of his money or do a free repair that's all we need to know. Looks like a no. You agree this is a horrible result as does the community why not fix it. We're not asking you to fix a case unless its extremely poor outcome. He came out worse than when he went it. I mean wtf man you say yourself you only get few bad cases a year why not fix him for free. It's like pulling teeth you greedy fcks. Why lose out on bunch money when people read this thread and don't choose you when you can fix him and people will like that. It's shortsighted and dumb your stance bro unbelievable from someone with 27 years of experience.
  11. Im talking about the Appearance of the scars dots on side of his head. They don't need a year to get better imo. They been sealed up since 2 weeks in. Only thing is if he had shock loss and theirs hairs that are in those gaps that havnt sprouted out yet. Yes the tension strenght improves over time and the redness fades and they might contract some but im skeptical. Im pulling for him tho I am in same boat with same doctor but while we watch all these other patient reviews with great donors 2 weeks after surgery with more graphs it's not reassuring. We have a sweat to see how we end up when most others dont Anyone reading this is welcome to prove me wrong with pics I want to eat my words. Post similar side of head before and after. He doesn't look like shockloss. He looks like he has fue dots and idk how that will get better on its own after 4 whole months of healing already
  12. Can you post some pics of your donor area along the recovery thanks
  13. According to diep he uses .8 to 1mm . I got the 1mm. Thing is doctors have said it look bigger than 1mm in pics I posted on real self so who knows. U mean it's 4 fucking months what "healing" is left. That would only be the tension strenght of the wound (scar maturation it's called) and the the recovery of any shock loss. The fue scars are healed imo. Only way they improve is if you have shock loss around the punch holes that hasn't came in yet
  14. You hair growth does look great for 4 months The donor area looks like shit to be honest. 4 months and still looks like that idk im not optimistic on how my will end up. I mean wtf is this guy doing with us and our donors . We paid him alot of money and no other top doctor donors areas look like his after 4 month I mean comon. He should only get 50% of money imo as he produces 50% of the expected results so far
  15. I read that some transplanted hairs elongate(they are packed into the slit bent like shoving a rope into a hole) but that's an illusion . They arnt growing just the slack is coming out. You are going to lose most of transplanted hairs in the coming weeks but some % will grow and stick around and some will stay stuble. As far as donor area it's a standard diep donor problem some of his patients(I am one) have early on. It's funny how i can watch asmed take out 5k graphs and theirs look much better than our 3k. All we can do is wait. It's most likely shock loss . His motorized punch or whatever he injects into our heads doesn't help. People will blame it on patient but this is typical with this doctor. His donors take a long time to heal compared to others. I have bad shock loss in donor and recipant area from him. Your gonna have to reassess at 3 and 6 months the don't stress about it. One positive is that the halo effect (donor area box shape )will go away my did completely by like month of hair growth. Remains to be seen how it will look when I eventually get a hair cut tho. I still have a horrible right temple side profile tho and a bald spot behind ear. Im a hat prisoner for indefinite future
  16. I had to shave my head for both recipient and donor
  17. I got 2895 so were close. We are similar as all his patients have that distinct diep donor look to them. He went low on me also but a hat will cover it and in few weeks your hair lenght will help conceal it better with the hat. I wear a hat everywhere I go unfornatuley and will have to for the foreseeable future. Not comfortable without one in public Just give it time and don't sweat it unless you feel like something is abnormal
  18. It's harder to tell because hair growth by now but I believe I do. I got alot of shock loss or potentially over harvesting in donor area and also looks like in recipient area now. I will be posting pictures when i make my thread to give a visual of my case. I usually keep my hair grade 1 on sides and am sweating this gets better and I'll get to wear my hair like I like and not the 4 grade it is now. I went to different doctor for 2nd opinion about my issues and texture was one of them but I have to check with my gf as she was their also to make sure what he said is correct. Dont want to misspoke from my memory
  19. Im gonna make one soon im 1month post op. Im not happy btw to start off, but that doesn't mean you wont be. In my post history I put why it started off Rocky in another thread unfortunately I just have to give it time and hope for the best. My benchmarks are 3 months and 6 months to hope for my #1 issue to clear up but I have other concerns also Hopefully we both have great results in the hairline and donor areas like some of his other clients here tho
  20. He says he uses .8 to 1mm. On me he used a 1mn and seems like most of his clients get the 1mm from reviews I read
  21. Pretty sure he uses motorized punch if thats what ur asking.
  22. They say that in the paperwork but does it have a % next to it. No just says it possible that could me 30% or .001%. The public perception is that it's very low chance tho. We need proper information to make correct decision prior to surgery to weight the risk reward. They need to say what are real life chances it occurs as in percentage. They tell us grafts for fue are 10% less that fut but why not the risk factor %.It's in their best interest to under represent the chances of that occurring because if people knew the real chance they might not get their transplant. They brush over that topic in the consultations and paperwork.
  23. I mean does it even matter if it his genetics. The doctors are flying blind. They are responsible for the outcome. They advertise on their sites of normal outcomes and top 5%ers. This is not it obv. If they don't want to take care of bad outcomes when they arise then don't fly blind. Figure out ways to test why certain people heal poorly. Give everyone genome sequencing. Do a test run with 100 fues or a smaller strip and see how it heals idk. But it's on them to make their craft more Efficient not the patient. We pay for results it's on them to produce them or tell us we are more at risk for poor healing because xyz PRIOR to surgery . If not we'll assume we will end up like the people they advertise. They promise the world like it's standard now stand up for your patients that get very supar results. This is a sensitive issue when dealing with people looks and confidants. So it needs to be done right every time. Not trade one problem for another and give you 18k. They came to you to boost their confidants and ended up in same boat. Like i said its a big deal i couldnt pay Lindsey 20k to let me do this to the backside of his head so he should show more empathy backed up with action not words Can't just be like oh well it's "probably " your fault as the patient when guy could be permantly disfigured after sitting in your chair. Any doctor that doesnt offer to fix the rare bad outcome that we objectify agree on for free should be barred from here honestly They are the ones that setup these expectations with their marketing. Now it's time to produce or are they guilty of misleading the public with advertising fraud and hiding the negatives that happen more often than we are to believe to drum up more business. Do what you implicitly promise in your videos and ads and false lighting before and afters. Don't insult him figure out a way to make him happy again for free not 50% off jacked up prp price. That's bushleague offer
  24. Another thing to remember is that the pictures always look better than the human eye sees in person. In person to the human eye it's much more noticable and sticks out
  25. I mean if these cases are so rare the doctor surely wouldn't ruin his rep and not try and fix it for free or give a refund. The guy traded one problem for another. I don't believe in oh well just the way you heal bs. The doctors hand caused this one way or another had he not went in he would still have hair their. I believe this industry is a joke the way they handle these "rare" cases according to them. Maybe their not so rare that they cant refund or partial refund everyone. We pay you for an average normal result. The ones in which you glorify and market on your websites. Where are all the pics of permant donor shock loss on their I missed them. This is obv not a normal expected result. Any ethical doctor and not money hungry one would do the right thing now. Would they want to pay 10 to 20k to have this happen to the back of their head when they woke up.no they wouldnt I couldn't pay them 20k to let me permantly overharvest or shock loss an area in back of their head. So it is a big deal regardless of how it occurs. He needs to help him for free it was done under his supervision. He paid for hairline and safe donor area and got half of it. No way in hell doctor should get 100% payment from the original surgery and then get paid more money to fix it. That's crazy. He only did 50% of job in results. He should get 50% pay at most as this guy has a PERMANT issue for the rest of his life. Any doctor that doesn't do the right thing for the patients they supposedly care about can go fck. Themselfs
