Awesome info, did you experience any numbness near the suture line? I think this is great information for visitors and readers.

I did yes. The best thing you can do is follow the post op advice perfectly. Even though cosmetic, your body has still undergone a major surgery and you need to be able to rest/relax, ice, elevate and take your medication. It will set you up really well for success.

  2. For me the medication pre op and post op did wonders. I had 2 FUT's.No pain during the surgery but the biggest nuisance was discomfort. You're trying to get into a comfortable position after laying still for several hours and the same can also be said for sleeping. Though to your point Melvin some general discomfort from healing. The sutures/staples were annoying but a necessary evil to ensure proper healing.

  3. It's your life and you can choose how to live it.

I would recommend talking to your doctor about your medication routine as it sounds like you've become your own pharmacist.

I'd also encourage to get finasteride or dutasteride from reputable suppliers and not the bargain company online who could be sending out dummy pills for all you know.

  4. I would recommend asking your surgeon which method they prefer for the area that will be targeted and also ask about future donor. I've had two FUT transplants and my scar isn't visible and I still have an adequate amount left to utilize if needed.

  5. Why would anyone encourage someone to go to a hair mill? Do you really want to be the 20th patient on the table after a 12 hour workday? Playing Russian Roulette with not only your donor but your life as well? Doctors and techs are people too, they make mistakes but this is easy to avoid.
