  1. Looking forward to seeing your results as you grow. How involved was Dr. Path in your overall procedure including the planting? Good luck.....Happy growing!
  2. Do you know where your singles went? You should have at least gotten an exact graft count. The whole stem cell replication thing would be a dream come true for most of us here. This Dr./clinic should be exposed here to potentially save someone else's grief. You deserve no less than a partial refund. Don't accept any free follow ups with this doctor don't waiste your precious doner!
  3. They suspiciously have 5 stars from all 14 Yelp reviews. These reviewers are making statements how they were treated like a king, and genuinely felt like family. Their before/afters on their site are nothing to brag about with at least one being obviously touched up. Their pricing structure shows per "VIP" graft $15. What the the hell is a VIP graft? I couldn't image paying $30, 000 for say 2000 grafts. They also claim to do BHT on any area of the body that lacks hair. I see no listed referrals on their site and it appears all of their prior patients have single letters for last names. Hmmmm? Maybe I'm wrong but these sort of things make me a bit nervous..............
  4. Thanks for sharing all view angles. Something not always shown. Great results. I like how the colors blend. Very fitting for his age. Seems like a good canidate for beard grafts consdering his perceived hair texture.
  5. I think 2500 to 3000 will do you well. Especially if you're able to comb it back. Looks to me even in your current state a concealer alone would make a huge difference given your remaining hair perimeter of the crown.
  6. I couldn't agree more with Spanker. You are not damaged in any way, you just need to be filled in and finished. Luckily enough it doesn't appear you're Dr. did you much harm. Although it appears he doesnt know what he's talking about or he's full of B.S. Find a Dr. on this site and finish you're transplant. Don't go back to that Dr. for a free followup session, you will be waisting your grafts. You are very fortunate. You're photos seem to indicate you have the potential to get a full head of hair if you choose a Dr that knows what he's doing. When I tell you that you're one of the lucky ones don't take it for granted. You are.... good luck and I'm happy for you that you have found this site! Finish what you started and be happy!
  7. HTsoon is correct. Poor artistry and placement combined probably has left you with less than desirable results. Stem cell replication? Really? Not sure who this Dr. or clinic is but do yourself a favor stay clear. You seem to have nice native hair and Im assuming good donor by the looks of your photos. You can easily be filled in and "corrected". I personally would not go back to this clinic even for a free "touch up". You have to live with the results regardless of the cost. Find some recommend Drs here on this site and get some consultations. Believe me when I tell you, your one of the lucky ones and good thing you are here.
  8. Your in great hands with Dr. Cooley. Keep us posted in the months ahead. We're looking forward to seeing your results!
  9. Dr. James Boland is a former medical director at two large medical marijuana clinics in metro Denver, one of which has closed surrounded by legal issues. He was quoted as saying that he was moving on to another specialty "surgical hair restoration" Is this the guy you want cutting your scalp? Oversight of Colorado medical marijuana doctors remains spotty - The Denver Post After reading this article, and without making any judgment on the usage or prescribing of marijunua, preceded by viewing the ridiculous archaic like images of the work from this clinic it's perplexing that this place remains open for practice. Their website reminds me of a late night infomercial. Major red flag ......$2 hair grafts.... really? What does that even mean? Greed brings out the worst in people regardless of the initials placed in front of one's last name. What I find disturbing is that unless victims take action themselves, there is little to nothing any advocay group seems willing or is able to do. Thankfully the ability and privlidge to post results here and other forums may stir some individuals in other directions, unfortunately damages have been done and sadly the next victim is a phone call away. Just my two cents..........
  10. Very true Ontop. I feel strongly that BH should only be used as filler or for scaring except maybe in extreme repair work etc. Body hair is still body hair and will always grow differently and at different rates. I think native hair and ethnicity play a large part in how BH looks. In my opinion the better looking results seem to come from those with coarser and dark hair. Which makes me think why Rashid35 may be a decent canidate for some blending. In my opinion I also think I would try SMP first just to see and if I wasnt happy then consider HT. Starting a HT is much more of a decision for a NW6 than a NW1 or 2!
  11. Lots of good advice here. Most of us can probably see both sides of weather or not you should pursue a HT. At the end of the day it will be you alone that makes the decision. Given your situation, I personally feel there are a limited number of doctors who you could really rely on. Sure there are differing opinions on incorporating BHT, but if you look at some of Dr. Umars results they are quite impressive, espessially his before and after videos. He's not the only Dr who has posted good results using BHT but I believe he's certainly the most experieced in a field in which he paved the way for. Regardless of your choice I hope you continue your story here. Your case and possibly your desicion will help others suffering similar cases insight and/or hope just as Harin and HTsoons cases have. Goodluck
  12. Sanjar and other victims of this clinic, you are certainly due fair representation and I hope the best for your situations. Sanjar would it be possible to get any updated images including your donor area? It may give some of the members here better ideas on what your future repair work may entail. Especially those of us who have had repair work done. I have found this thread intrestingly disturbing. I was initially expecting some input from any of the Doctors who regulary post here. But the more I read through the thread the better understading I got for why they may not want to get involved professionally and otherwise. Someone correct me if I'm mistaken, but the reputable surgeons recommened on this site must be fuming under their breath to see what is still going on out there and how it continues to do harm to a practice many of them have worked so hard to perfect over the last two decades or so.
  13. If the most skilled surgeons who have invested in ARTAS discontinue their use, will these machines eventually end up in the hands of even less skilled clinics/doctors who maybe shouldn't even be perfoming transplants in the first place? Just a thought.......
  14. Good thread. Having fallen prey to the late night infomercials and glossy brochures of the early 90's promising full heads of hair and eventually ending up a victim of an unscrupulous clinic in the early 90s, it's encouraging to know there exists forums and blogs such as this to educate those who are unaware of the pitfalls and perils of diving into a surgical procedure they may have little to no knowledge of. Secondary to making the life changing decision weather to have a hair transplant or not is without a doubt Doctor selection.
