Getting ready for hair transplant in India - seeking help
harin replied to countinghair's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
All the 3 doctors you have mentioned have had good results. Perhaps one of them is more pricier than other for a good reason. Dr. Bhatti is the only HT surgeon recommended on this forum amongst your choices. If you think Chadigarh is far away then consider doing more research about available options in your area. I think in my opinion you will need more than 3000 grafts for optimal results covering frontal and crown areas. For now your donor area also looks good. (I am a physician but not a HT specialist, so my opinions be considered as such coming from a non-HT specialist personnel) But nothing can beat face to face professional assessment with a reputed HT specialist. But I suggest doing some more research, talking to the patients of a HT surgeon, critical examination of their results so far etc..,,before you jump in. Getting HT done is a very difficult decision to make for most people, lots involved in the process given that a bad result can be devastating...there is no dearth of qualified professionals who would give you optimal results, but also the field is ridden by some crooks who can easily ruin your life, so take ur time before you jump in...... All the best. -
Just had my HT less than 1.5 months ago so results will not be apparent for another 4-6 months. There are few recommended HT surgeons in South India... Dr. Radha at Vishakapatnam and Dr. Madhu in Hyderabad. One can find many excellent results by the above two physicians if you search thisforum...perhaps more so of Dr. Radha in my opinion. (however Dr. Radha does FUT only and no FUE - not a limitation unless you don't want FUT like in my case) Regarding Eugenix here is one of the results posted by a patient of Dr. Arika Bansal. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/179071-hair-transplant-doctor-delhi-ncr-reviews-4.html And here is the link to my HT thread. I had advance NW 6/7 baldness,so I had combo scalp and beard HT. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/181502-nw-6-7-hair-transplant-new-delhi-ncr-region.html Good luck.

Currently there are no recommended HT surgeons in Bangalore on this website. I had interacted with few and I liked couple of them which are Dr. Madhukumar and Dr. Venkat Mysore. But I ended up getting my HT done at Eugenix hair clinic by Dr. Arika Bansal and Dr. Pradeep Sethi. Please do remember that none of the above surgeons are YET recommended on this forum. But I have found the results of the above excellent by all means.

Also perhaps everyonehas noticed this difference.: In all four patients the lower half of the FUE grafts were mostly stripped of fatty tissue and the bulbs were mostly “naked” without protective tissue. Many physicians as Dr. Bernstein indicated have started gotten away with stripping the fatty tissue, I think in hands good at performing FUE the results will likely be different.

Need more high quality pictures, plus in-person consultation is usually necessary to actually determine the number of grafts that can be safely extracted, just telling you from my personal opinion. Pictures can be deceiving.

After about a week you are good even if someone pats or touches those grafts as per HT gurus. Jealous of you man, just came back from India. Was In New Delhi and Bangalore and missing India already. All the best and happy growing.

All the best. Work looks good. If it were me I would have asked for Dr. Bhatti's presence at the earliest feasible time once the minor issue was noted. Overall I think you had positive experience. I have percieved Dr. Bhatti as a very ethical doctor and he would have notified you if he felt there was anything odd. Prayers for your great results.

Natural/Herbal Hair Loss Remedies - Guide
harin replied to Maxxy's topic in Herbal hair loss remedies
The best thing I have done is to apply ''Mahabhringraj'' oil (available on amazon, but avoid the one made by Dabur company since the base is mineral oil therein) to help reduce scalp dryness and also to increase the hair growth. Even though the frontal completely bald area had minor positive changes, better nutrition of the donor area by massaging the above oil helped to increase the donor density. Once I reach 2-3 months mark I plan to use the oil again to help nourish my transplanted hairs too!. -

Nice improvement. I hope this continues to grow well, all the best for you bro. -
compared to pre-op looks like a good transformation. better pictures are needed both of hairline and of crown.

Quite a large numbers (50%) of beard hairs were used to blend in aesthetically with head hair in my case. Got it done by Dr.Arika Bansal and Dr. Pradeep Sethi at their Gargaon clinic, New Delhi. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/181502-nw-6-7-hair-transplant-new-delhi-ncr-region.html Look through their eugenix india website and you will see some excellent NW 6/7 results. They do BHT (beard, chest, armpit). My growth so far has been very good. I shall post my update every 2 months or so. Hope this helps.

Hair Transplant at ASMED - 5000 Grafts
harin replied to JohnnyLight's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Work looks great, I think the hairline also will look great once it grows out,I don't think it is too high at all. It looks very nice for your head shape. All the best, happy growing, please keep the forum updated about your results. -
Same thing happened to me. I stopped scrubbing and only started scrubbing back after 10 th day. People often say for sure by 10 th day most grafts are secure. Some say 7. So after loosing 10 to 15 hairs like u did. I stopped scrubbing off my scabs till 10-12 days.

Found these instructions on a famous HT surgeon's website, highlighted the ones which I have never heard of before, experts please weigh in, I have never heard of something like ''donot wear hat for 4weeks!!!' Patient who are travelling by air with a flight time greater than 5 hours must stay in the location of their procedure for 7 days. The cabin air may dry out and potentially kill the grafts and thus affecting their growth. Hats are not to be worn over the grafted areas for 4 weeks. Exercise involving aerobics, lifting weights is not allowed for 4 weeks. Sun exposure of grafted areas is to be avoided for 3-6 months. Swimming with the head under water is not allowed for 1 year.

Thanks SHASLEc0. In fact your case helped me decide on the HT specialist and I went with Dr. Arika and Dr. Pradeep. Thank you. It has been 4weeks and now since the first stage of transplant the hairs implanted a month ago have started shedding while the crown hairs are still rooted strongly. I will update this forum every 2-3 months since it might be difficult to update every month given my schedule. I appreciate everyones' prayers. Thanks a ton.

Minor Shedding as early as 7 days
harin replied to harin's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Instructions are to gently shampoo and gently scrub after 6 days. I have stopped any scrubbing though. Will live with some scab for another 4-5 days. Then as u said my plan is to scrub off scabs at that time. I was told though in many people roots are SeCured by 7 th day. In some it might be 10-12 days. Though this was only few grafts I was a bit worried. -
Thanks Khali, Done over 4 days. Initial 3 sessions were back to back. Fourth session was on Nov, 2 nd.

Ha, ha. Good one. I actually exchanged few mails with Dr. Konair s clinic and was very pleased with methodical assessment and approach. He even offered free initial consultation with no obligation given my advanced hair loss. Due to multiple other factors I went ahead and had my procedure in India. Under Dr. Arika Bansal at her Eugenix clinic at Guargaon, otherwise my next choice would have been Dr. Konair. (Who is surprisingly not recommended here). I think u have made a great choice. All the best.
