  1. Alright dude.... The 16th of August has come and gone. Did you sweep her off her feet or what? We need to know these things. On a side note.... I agree with Rootz that you would be much better served if you didn't let your insecurities have so much power.... There's nothing women find sexier than a confident man, so work on that.... Hair or no hair, if you don't believe you're a catch and worth dating, why should anyone else? Now for real. How'd it go.....?
  2. The cash price at my localTarget for 30 tablets of the 5mg is $9.... I cut that into quarters and I spend a grand total of $2.25 a month for the medicine. Not sure how you get it any cheaper than that.
  3. Just checking in to see how your latest hair system worked for you and where are you with your progress.... Have you found a solution that is working for you? I have zero experience or knowledge of hair systems, so I'm interested to see how it's going....
  4. It also causes god to kill kittens. So if you don't mind having that on your conscience, then masturbate the day away.
  5. You dodged a bullet with that one man. So weird that she said it as if it's a choice. Good to hear you moved on from what sounds like a negative Bosley experience and are getting the results you want. Good for you. Now go find another date.
  6. Yes! Stay away from the mirror! That's the best thing you can do. I had some extensive cognitive therapy a couple years back to help treat my obsessive compulsive disorder, so I'm sure that helps me not obsess about it so much.... But I just put my thoughts on other things and let the hair growth take its course. So unless you're actually learning some real ninja skills in the bathroom, stay... away... from... the MIRROR.
  7. I would definitely wait at least a week after surgery to start smoking again. You want your body and immune system to be in the best possible position to effectively receive the grafts and the smoke/nicotine is not gonna do you any favors. The first 5 days or so after surgery are crucial, so don't do anything to jeopardize that. Heck, I would even consider the HT as a launching pad into stopping smoking altogether. In addition to all the other health risks, smoking has been also been linked to hair loss, so it almost seems counterproductive to keep it up.
  8. Looks great man. Really impressive!
  9. God, I hope not. But I do know that masturbation kills kittens.
  10. Dude, that's amazing. I'm just past month 2 and am really looking forward to what's to come. That just put a smile on my face.... I can't imagine your results being any better. Congrats man!
  11. I'm not sure if this is accurate, but I read someone on another post mentioning that maybe having two completely different technicians doing each side could contribute to this.... Meaning maybe one of the technicians wasn't implanting them properly... I'm not sure if this is possible, as I feel that would be a pretty big oversight to have a technician who inserts the grafts so poorly without it being noticed by the other techs or the doctor. Any professional thoughts on this and how it happens?
  12. I agree about staying away from the mirrors.... It tends to make us obsessive. I'm about 9 weeks out here and have the "smoother" areas as well, but I think it's way too early for us to be concerned. I'm not even mentally expecting anything until month 6 at the earliest, so as not to put myself on edge during the waiting process. (And I already feel that it's much better than it was before the HT).
  13. It won't be a problem at all. TSA allows passengers to travel with medication, prescription or not. Not sure if I can post links here, but a quick google search of "flying with prescription drugs" should remove any and all doubts. Have a safe flight!
  14. I should also add that I am only taking 1.25mg of the Finasteride daily - not sure if that's pretty standard or not. I also started taking it before the surgery, so as to hopefully cut down on the amount of shock loss I experienced. I didn't lose all of my grafts and experienced less shock loss than I was anticipating, so one could assume that was due to the medication.... But then again, we would never know if I would've had the same amount of shock loss without the medication either.
  15. Haha. Thank the gods for dark lighting. It changes everything.

    8/29/14 - 1 Month Followup

These are the photos taken almost exactly 1 month after my surgery. By this point, many of the grafts had started to fall out, and quite a bit of the redness was gone. I decided to still maintain the buzzcut for a while, as the longer I let it grow, the more noticeable it was that it was still a little thinner in the front. (Back before the transplant, I could disguise it quite well with my longer hair.)
